00:00All right, so let's talk about this pack of wolves at the top of the leaderboard.

00:25I mean, it's the same old story every year.

00:32I mean, I call it the British Open, like you, the Open, whatever they want to call it.

00:36There's always going to be some surprises the first round.

00:40And whether, I mean, you can go look back at the history.

00:43And lately, even though it's called the British Open, Americans have shined.

00:48So you've got Harry English up there, and you've got some others lurking.

00:52I mean, it's an interesting deal every year.

00:56And again, like I've told you before, playing along the ground over there is a different deal than American golf.

01:03And it is playing fast and firm.

01:06They haven't had any rain.

01:07So it is really going to be fun each day, even though they get the storm and the little flashes of rain and all that.

01:14Places like concrete, the ball's rolling.

01:16It's going to be really interesting to see this thing play out.

01:19Yeah, I saw the ball rolling pretty overall dry.

01:25They're hitting tee shots, and they're rolling another 75 yards when they land.

01:30There's only two that are in the top 10 that are American, in English and in Scheffler.

01:36I said to Carver High earlier, how big of a lead will Scheffler have at this time tomorrow night?

01:44Because that guy, being as close as he is, one shot back, I'd be scared to death if I were the rest of them.

01:52Yes, and I heard the announcer today say he hit like four fairways or something.

01:59So it's like they basically told you that he had an off day, and here he is just kind of, as you would say, lingering or whatever.

02:07But he will go out late tomorrow, and Rory will bounce back and be out early in the morning.

02:13So the weather, I mean, you can only go with that, and you know it can come in and go out or whatever.

02:20But it's going to be an interesting clash to see who actually gets the advantage on the tee times, whether it's late early or early late.

02:29So Hatton had one bogey the whole day.

02:34You saw what he did at Oakmont in the U.S. Open.

02:38And obviously Oakmont played harder than Portrush did today.

02:45You had all these guys.

02:47English got the five under.

02:49To me, they all were scoring today.

02:52And I don't want to see that.

02:54I want to see it come back to reality when you were carrying the bag in the British Open was when you carried it.

03:02Now it's the Open.

03:03Whatever they, like you said, want to call it is fine with me.

03:06But it's my favorite major, as you know, bar none, no questions asked.

03:11It's what golf is meant to be played like.

03:18It's rain.

03:20It's cold.
