00:00The U.S. Coast Guard is giving us an aerial view of post-super typhoon Bavi in Guam and northern
00:07Mariana Islands.
00:08It was a super typhoon.
00:09Coast Guard crews flying over the region this week to assess the damage and work to reopen ports.
00:14Bavi set to slam into Taiwan and eastern China tomorrow and through the weekend.
00:18The absolute latest 115-mile-per-hour max sustained winds with this one,
00:23and it is a powerful, powerful storm as it churns.
00:26Now here's Taiwan, here's eastern China, and we're watching this storm pull west and northwest.
00:32It doesn't have as unobscured of an eye as it had a day or two ago,
00:36but it's going to be continuing to move on in as probably a Category 3 hurricane or typhoon in this
00:41case,
00:41this part of the world, into parts of eastern China.
00:44Also clipping northern parts of Taiwan, so huge concerns there.
00:48You can see the brightest shade of red, not the maroon, but the brighter shade of red,
00:53covers a little bit more of northern Taiwan.
00:55We're looking at 120 to 140-mile-per-hour wind potential for top gusts.
01:00And, man, this has been a powerhouse.
01:03Look at that satellite imagery there from just a day or so ago.
01:08And after northern Taiwan, we're looking at eastern China with a tremendous 12 to 18 inches of rain.
01:15AccuWeather local storm acts 24 inches.
01:17This will be a very, very dangerous, and hopefully not deadly, but very dangerous storm.
01:23A nasty typhoon coming into eastern Asia.
