00:01Hello and welcome back to another video. Today I'll be opening up and having a look at some of the
00:063D filaments I got. I recently bought a few. I think there's nine rolls in total. I guess we'll find
00:12out as soon as we own them. We've got five on the top. I've cut through the plastic bag. It's
00:16easy to access both sides.
00:17So this has got some PTG filament. I thought it was PLA originally because all the other listings that the
00:24Scylla had, the multi-packs were all PLA, but I guess I got the one that was at G. But
00:30I should be able to just print this if you have to go to a higher temperature.
00:33Interestingly, they've also, I guess they've set this up for like individual rolls. These are all in individual bags, all
00:39five of these, and they're just all taped together.
00:43This peels up. It's Sunlube branded filaments that they sold. Let's take one of each out. It's a bit tight.
00:58I'll put the rest to the side for now. It actually weighs quite a bit. So I've got five kilos
01:04total, but it definitely feels more than five kilos of weight.
01:08So this is what they look like. They're reasonably high-quality looking. Sunlube brand. It's got pre-printing filament.
01:15Fireable, keep away from heat. Yes, hopefully that doesn't apply to un-pinting because you kind of need heat to
01:20print.
01:21So it's the standard 1.75 millimeter. They've got all these different ones, but we just got the PETG.
01:30Is it on here? There we go. Good impact strength and toughness. There's a few links.
01:37We'll open these ones up.
01:43So these ones do also say that they're reusable spools. So they're in a few places, but all of them.
01:47But the reusable spool, so even though I bought five in this multi-pack, they could have given one or
01:53two
01:54that had the spool, maybe one of each color, and the rest have been just the reusable ones that you
01:58can
01:58put onto these spools. But no, they all come with their own reusable spools. And I do like how it
02:02also has
02:03a little gauge on the side so you can tell the amount of filament you have remaining.
02:09Just give a quick look to approximation. See how much you've got. What does that say?
02:13Different tangling. Please insert the tip of the filament into this card's hole. So I guess
02:17once you open it, use it something else so you can pass it through there.
02:22Also got a little clip for something in there. Not sure what that is.
02:25It's got a desiccant there. Can you stand it? 1000 grams.
02:30It's got a few details like print temp there. So if you put it at a high temperature, you can
02:35go faster.
02:38Anything else in the box? There is the stuff at the bottom. See what it is? It looks like they've
02:45got a lot of resonance in storage containers, just drying things. You can see the different
02:52colors and products they have. Just more details in there. As for the actual color, it's pretty
02:58dark black, a bit glossy. Not too bad. Let's have a look at the right one next.
03:09There we go. It's the same, just different color. Got all the same stuff in there. It's a
03:14pretty standard white color. Got some few other types of filament and we'll look at those ones
03:18as well. So the next one that we have is this little one here. It's a 250 gram, I think,
03:24roll.
03:26200 to a 250 gram roll. This one is smaller and it looks like it will fit my 3D printer.
03:34So I got a
03:35250 gram roll of this two colored one. That said it should be able, at least the manufacturer of the
03:413D printer said it can fit 250 gram rolls max on here. So I thought it would fit, but no
03:46it didn't because it
03:47too big. But I think this one should fit there perfectly. It seems to be the right width and
03:53height and everything. So I guess that one will be able to fit on there. And this one's just a
03:58standard
03:58PLA. Got a big thing of density in it. Bigger than the one kilo rolls. I can probably also put
04:03some of
04:04the other filaments on here if I want to use it just in that little stand for that 3D printer
04:08once I
04:08finish this roll. Or I'm also thinking that I could also put the roll on the side next to it,
04:14behind it, and just let it sort of rotate off. I think that should also in theory work.
04:20Next we've got this one. It's got a white filament on the box. But if we open it up,
04:24it should be some blue coloured filament. This one is TPU filament. So when we print with it,
04:33I can get it out.
04:36There we go, TPU filament. That should be very flexible. Good for putting some flexible prints
04:43with that one. I'll see what I can make with that. Maybe I can make like some cases or some
04:46other
04:47interesting things. Next one, this is in a bag. I want to take this one out, I think.
04:53We might take it out later. Oh, there we go. We don't need to. It's a window. This is a
04:58brown,
04:58looks like a tree one. This is the colour. It's peanut brown. I bet it's it's like a wooden
05:04sort of style one. One of those like bits of colours. Something in it rattling around.
05:11Next, I have this one. It's like a red roll. It's one kilo of PLA. And then last but not
05:18least,
05:19this is all sort of already open. It's another white one. This one is sort of like a translucent
05:24white PLA. Well, instead of putting the bed in the middle, they're putting the side there.
05:29It should be like a semi-translucent, sort of like glossy, shiny, effervescent type print.
05:36So I've got the printer here. And if I want to put on this PETG filament, I'll have to
05:43take this out. So there is a retract button just on it right here.
05:53Which I can hopefully use to try to retract it and replace it with this.
06:03So we just wait for it to heat up. In the meantime, we can open this. Got a resealable
06:08thing on which is good. So we can, in theory, put it back in there when we're finished.
06:17So we have to tear this first. See, that does not like to cut or tear, so we'll have to
06:23cut it.
06:26And let's tear it now. There we go, we can sort of get that open.
06:35And here's our filament. Got this little clip thing, desiccant.
06:43And the thing is, I'm going to put the filament through, which I'm not going to bother with.
06:49Put those to the side. Not sure where there is, wait if I have to keep heating up.
06:58A bit crunchy.
07:02You can take this through and start straining it up.
07:06Oh, it's sort of cut there, broken. Okay, that isn't, uh, anything bad happens when you try to
07:14put in there's a little break-off or something. And I think it is stunning to retract now.
07:19I think it is attracting. Let's look at this pull.
07:29Oh, it seems to have stuck itself to the base plate.
07:39There we go. It's like a long piece there.
07:43I think it's hole for one second maybe to erase it. We'll do that again.
07:54A couple more times.
07:57And you can see there is sort of a blob there. It's subjected the rest of it into there.
08:05I have to take this off to remove it.
08:09The little fibres there.
08:12That is still a bit warm.
08:17So we'll put that back on and we'll try to load up our new filaments.
08:25So I'll just put this stuff higher here.
08:32Load that in and we'll switch to feed.
08:44I think that's probably it.
08:50It starts to keep moving. It should have been heated up from the last few.
08:54Or it is starting to extrude.
08:56It's slowly pulling itself in.
09:00Maybe it's not truly enough. There's nothing to come out the bottom.
09:03But it has gone past the broken bit.
09:06Or it's starting to come out now.
09:09You can see it's got rid of the purple stuff.
09:13Now it's extruding the black stuff.
09:16So we'll stop that now.
09:17Let it cool down.
09:19And we can clear that up.
09:22A little snake fence.
09:23Maybe the reason it was brown or black the first time I printed it was because they tested it.
09:31That is cool down.
09:33So now I've got the SD card.
09:36I've got a bench on.
09:37I've modified it.
09:38So temperature and a slower printing speed.
09:40So obviously that's good enough.
09:43So I'll turn it off.
09:45Turn it back on.
09:47And we'll press play to start up the printing.
09:51So it should heal the heat up now.
09:53So here we are.
09:54Our first print is now finished.
09:55Let's turn that off.
09:58And here is our benchy.
10:02You can see there's a few little stringy bits.
10:04But it's turned out quite well.
10:05That's quite glossy from some angles.
10:09There's a few strings in that middle part there.
10:12Overall it's turned out quite well.
10:14It should be harder than PLA.
10:15Let's peel it off.
10:20I think so that heat there's sort of damaged the build plate more.
10:27More stuck on there.
10:29Well this has damaged the actual plate and removed some.
10:31Because on the bottom here I think it has peeled some up.
10:39So I guess using this I'm going to.
10:41Maybe because it's high temperature.
10:43I'm going to go through this and damage it much quicker.
10:45So I'll probably need a replacement at some point.
10:49Maybe that didn't turn out too bad.
10:52It's very hard plastic.
10:53You can still see the lines.
10:55Not sure what I'm going to do to try to get rid of those angry bits.
10:59Maybe go lower temperature.
11:01Or maybe go down to slower speed again.
11:05I'll leave this video here.
