When I was in high school, my mother bought
a digital camera.

She looked delighted, snapping photo after
photo with a childlike innocence.

She seemed to have become a photographer,
happily taking pictures everywhere.

But soon, the memory card filled up.

My mother, who wasn't tech-savvy, hesitantly
came to me for help.

“Hey, it won't take pictures anymore...”

I was in a bad mood at the time.

“Just read the manual! Don't bother me with
stupid stuff!”

I snapped out those heartless words.

Mom slumped her shoulders and fell silent. I
still can't forget the lonely look in her
eyes that day.

That same mother passed away recently. While
sorting through her belongings, I found that
digital camera.

I carelessly turned it on and casually
looked through the photos.

There was a picture of me sleeping.

Tears started streaming down my face.
