00:41clueless, and he deserved to be fired, but it's also simultaneously not his fault.

00:55fans rejoiced. They were dancing in the street. And then I think he decided not to sell the team out

01:03Artie Moreno, I firmly believe, is the devil in disguise. You see oftentimes, California Post has all the videos, a
01:12lot of fans in Anaheim, they make news, they go viral for singing and dancing and chanting for Artie to
01:21sell the team.
01:21I really think, if Rob Manford is awake, and there are a lot of bad owners in baseball, the Rockies,
01:27terrible, John Fisher with the A's going from Oakland to Sacramento, eventually to Vegas, he's terrible, Pirates owner is terrible,
01:37Artie Moreno is the worst.
01:38And they have turned a Southern California market into a totally irrelevant wasteland.
01:45The Angels have the longest droughts of not making the playoffs in baseball right now.
01:5011 years. And frankly, it feels even longer than that.
01:55You look at the Angels, and a couple years ago, Perry wanted to trade Shohei Otani because he wasn't coming

02:03And Artie Moreno wouldn't let him, saying, well, we're going to re-sign him.

02:41I feel bad for Mike Trout. I know he signed the contract.
02:44I know. He could have signed with the Philadelphia Phillies.
02:47He's from, obviously, South Jersey. That would have been great.

02:52Instead, he hitches his wagon to this guy, Artie Moreno, the absolute worst.

03:05One of four teams, okay, over the last five seasons in baseball, that have not made the playoffs.
03:11Pirates, Rockies, Nationals, and, obviously, the Anaheim Angels.
03:16And here's the thing, if you understand Angels' history and tradition, the Angels have it.

03:25The Angels, for so many years, in the 80s, the 90s, then finally they get over the hump, 2002.
03:31The late, great Garrett Anderson and Troy Gloss and those fun-to-watch teams.
03:36I mean, they get over the hump. They win the World Series.
03:39The fan base, unbelievable.
03:42The ambiance used to be great, the rally monkey, everything about it.
03:47Celebrities would go to the games.
03:49They would have the stadium packed.
03:52Now, you don't have anyone in the ballpark unless you're openly rooting for the owner to sell the damn team.
04:01And they're right.
04:03The worst feeling as a sports fan is when you know your team's dead on arrival.
04:09And normally, in baseball, there are two levels, right?
04:13Haves and have-nots when it comes to what you can spend.
04:16The Angels are in a monster market.
04:19They're a have.
04:20They spend money.
04:22They have no idea how to spend money because Moreno says, yeah, get me Anthony Rendon.
04:28Remember him?
04:29He hates baseball.
04:31He comes from the Washington Nationals after they won the World Series, collected the money,
04:36and basically gave all the fans and Artie the proverbial middle finger.
04:41The double bird.
04:42That's how bad it was.
04:44I mean, think about all the nonsense and shenanigans and lawsuits and deaths and everything that
04:50has transpired with this pathetic organization.
04:52And it all stems from the top.
04:55I mean, firing the general manager, sure.
04:58But we're talking about an absolute disgrace of a baseball team.
05:02And now these fans have to watch Shohei Otani.
05:05He's going to win another MVP.
05:07Doing his thing right down the road.
