00:00Oh, we're going to get to that here in a minute, but how about the Dodgers barking back saying,
00:04hey, stop being crybabies when it comes to all the money that we're spending.
00:09And now, Cap, they're talking about getting Scooble in the mix here to potentially add him.
00:15And they don't even need the dude.
00:16I mean, the Tigers obviously have wobbled a little bit here, but they're talking to Andrew Freeman about bringing that
00:22guy in.
00:23I mean, the rich get richer here.
00:24And how about the Dodgers telling you the whole Major League Baseball?
00:28Hey, be quiet.
00:29You guys are crybabies now.
00:32Well, if you look at it from the Dodgers' point of view, right, you've let everybody do whatever.
00:39And don't get me wrong, I am not a Dodgers fan.
00:41But if you look at it from where they're at, you've let everybody do whatever they want to do.
00:45And now they've built this big, bad wolf, and you want to tell them no?
00:48I mean, what are they supposed to do?
00:50Not try and, you know, build the best team they possibly can?
00:52I don't hate the Dodgers for it.
00:54I hate the rules for it, right?
00:56So I think going back and forth, I guess, with the Dodgers is not necessarily what the problem is, like
01:00you said, the salary cap.
01:02But I saw something said they might get a role as Chapman.
01:05Like, what are we talking about here?
01:07Like, I mean, come on, man.
01:09Like, anything.
01:10You add Scoogle, you add Chapman, any of the, like, we're already there.
01:14And we're talking about some of the best in all of baseball.
01:18How come we can't go here and say this, that that GM they have, and Andrew Friedman, may be one
01:26of the greatest GMs in baseball history.
01:29He got his feet wet with the Rays, right, Cab?
01:32He learned how to go and build a minor league system when he was in Tampa Bay.
01:37Then he gets the open checkbook in Los Angeles.
01:41And he goes, I mean, it's not like the Dodgers don't have a great farm team now.
01:45The Dodgers have a riches down even on the farm team right now, where many people are just looking at
01:51the big club, right, Cab and going, hey, look at all the big high price.
01:54Well, look at their farm system, too.
01:57This guy Friedman is arguably one of the greatest general managers we've seen in a long time.
02:01They have a pitcher.
02:03I have to, I've seen it once.
02:05I read it.
02:06But he's in either AA or AAA, and he hasn't given up a run in an absolute, I think, since
02:10they bumped him up to wherever he's at, the Dodgers do.
02:13I mean, when you say farm, they've got players there, too.
02:16They've got players that I think could step up on certain teams and play right now, this moment, and make
02:21an impact.
02:23And talking about what he's done with this system, the Rays are one of my favorite teams to watch develop
02:29pitching.
02:29And it starts with, you know, part of what he did there.
02:32And they still are to this day.
02:34The way the Tampa Bay Rays develop pitchers is such an outstanding thing to watch.
02:40They're one of the best, if not the best, in all of baseball.
