00:05The nickname actually comes from Native American tribes who used lunar cycles to track the seasons.
00:10June's full moon coincided with Strawberry Harvest Time, which is how it got its name.
00:13Depending on the culture, though, it's also been called the Rose Moon and the Honey Moon.
00:17So when you look up at the Strawberry Moon, you're not seeing a different kind of moon.
00:20You're seeing a name that's been passed down for generations and tied to the start of summer.
