00:25I was on such a rollercoaster of crying, laughing, laughing while I was crying,
00:30so I think you've achieved what you set out to do.
00:33Some of the most joyful parts, though, are when you get to see the kids just being allowed to be
00:37kids.
00:38Bella, you've had to grow up quite fast in this industry.
00:41What did you enjoy most about being a teenager again?
00:44It was almost like being a teenager for the first time, to be honest.
00:48I really enjoyed it.

01:06It's kind of, like, it's nice to get to do that in a way that it doesn't actually affect anyone
01:10and get to be a teenager where it just feels like it's for you and it doesn't have any impact,

01:14It's just, yeah, getting to sort of experience those feelings and the, like, immediacy of those feelings
01:19and then express them immediately.
01:20Like, it's, yeah, I really enjoyed it.
01:23It felt very, like, free in a way and very, like, yeah, I had a really, really good time.
01:28It felt kind of liberating.
01:30We have to talk about James Blunt's starring role.
01:33I cannot let you go away without talking about that.
01:39So he did it for free, am I right in saying that?
01:42He did it for free, James, yeah.
01:42How did this come about?
01:45So, the script always had a role of music superstar at the end of the talent show
01:49who was going to come in and judge it, and there's a running joke through the film
01:51which is, like, Craig David couldn't do it and, like, you know, does everything,
01:54and we didn't know who that was going to be.
01:57And when I started my company when I was 16, I was at a pub in Tutu where I grew
02:00up,
02:01and this guy, I was raising money for my first play, I raised four grand,
02:04and this guy came up to me and was like, look, take my business card,
02:06and one day you might need it.
02:07And I was like, wow, yeah, great.
02:09He was like, I'm called Todd Interland, and it turns out he was James Blunt's manager.
02:12And so then sort of basically ten years later, I ended up calling him and being like,
02:15hey, so, can I pull this favour now?
02:19And he was like, yeah, yeah, and what's the fee?
02:21And I was like, we just have an easy jet flight.
02:24And James said yes.
02:25You know, and James is so amazing in the film because, like, yes, I had then changed the script
02:30and wanted you're beautiful in there.
02:32But all the little improvs that he does is all him.
02:36I can't take any credit for any of his jokes about, like, next year, the cruise ship,
02:40his flirting with the therapist in it.
02:42Like, all of that was him, and he's just so funny and such a kind soul,
02:46and he's so talented.
02:47And that album, Back to Bedlam, you know, it's one of the best singer-songwriter albums.
02:50And I think, I just am so proud that I launched his film and acting career,
02:54and now Bond, I say, is next.
02:56Yeah, he's pretty fab.
02:57And he genuinely loved it as well.
02:59Bella, you previously said that George gave you a blueprint to be able to direct in the future.
03:05What would your dream film be?
03:07I don't know if I could direct something that I hadn't written,
03:10because I think that would be a bit scary.
03:11So directing something that I'd written, I sort of have things I've been working on.
03:17But I'd like to, yeah, I mean, direct something that I know something about, I suppose,
03:24and that feels, like, exciting.
03:26And I really, I like the idea of directing something that I'd really want to be in,
03:31and getting, like, a really interesting performance out of, like, a young person.
03:34Because I sort of know what it was like to be, like, a kid in front of a camera for
03:39the first time,
03:39and how exciting it was.
03:40And I really, I, like, relish the idea of opening up the opportunity for, like, a young person,
03:46like a 12-year-old or something, who's really passionate about it,
03:48to, like, get to do, like, really cool and interesting, like, emotional things.
03:52So, yeah, I just think I really, really like the idea of working with, like, little actors.
