Skubal did what during his start on Wednesday and your reaction to Terrion Arnold's arrest.
Transcript
00:00But I don't know that it was ever a self-inflicted wound.
00:04Right.
00:05These are very coordinated athletes.
00:08Yeah, but, I mean, the throwing motion and the follow-through,
00:11like, that's something that I've obviously, that wasn't part of my skill set.
00:16And, you know, I was supposed to keep a wide base.
00:18And so part of the motivation of keeping the wide base is you don't squeeze your nuts.
00:24No, it's just uncomfortable to talk about.
00:26It is uncomfortable to talk about.
00:27Could you imagine what it would, ugh, if it came off the mound?
00:33Yeah.
00:34No, thank you.
00:34No, thanks.
00:35But, yeah.
00:36Anyway, Tigers lost 12 games under .500.
00:40I got a text coming in on Tarion Arnold, 248-539-9797.
00:45It will be very telling how much the Lions believe in Ennis Rakestraw.
00:48Do they roll him at the second corner spot, or do they sign someone like Trayvon Diggs?
00:53Well, their second corner in camp was actually Rocky Asin.
00:55Yeah, he took most of the reps because Arnold was still recovering from, you know, an injury.
01:02And so Rocky Asin was getting most of the reps.
01:05I would anticipate that that is how they move forward.
01:10And Ennis Rakestraw can be a part of the conversation, but he's going to have to really work his way
01:14into it and stay healthy.
01:16You shouldn't be banking on him.
01:17No.
01:17No, certainly not.
01:18Jody in Orange Park, a frequent texter, says the Detroit News article mentions texts with Arnold's name on it.
01:26That could be the evidence that ultimately gets him here.
01:29Right.
01:29And whether or not his, you know, co-conspirators, his friends, flipped on him to get a better deal and
01:36a better sentence,
01:38I don't think would much matter if the evidence was going to come out anyway.
01:41Well, you've already seen the quote from the Arnold camp, which is, you're going to believe these criminals,
01:45but if they have texts that include your guy, then you're done.
01:49Yeah, instructions that, you know, and obviously we haven't seen the text messages.
01:53But if they were to include, hey, Terry Arnold sent this message,
01:57and these were the contents of the message included instructions of what to do,
02:02I mean, what are you supposed to do with that?
02:04Well, and that's, again, the reporting is he is the primary conspirator.
02:08He's the mob boss in this scenario.
02:11So I would imagine he, if there are texts.
02:14Don Arnold?
02:15Sure.
02:17We've got a regular Tony Montana out here.
02:202-4-8-5-3-9-97.
02:21Goodfellas was on last night, by the way.
02:23Oh, yeah.
02:24And I turned it on right at the, do you think I'm funny?
02:28Like I'm a clown, like I am usually?
02:30Yes, yes.
02:30Funny how.
02:31And then I got caught, you know, I went down that rabbit hole, like, well, I've got to watch a
02:34little bit more.
02:35Of course, you've got to get to where the chop and the garlic in the prison.
02:37Oh, yeah.
02:37Very fine.
02:39What else we got?
02:40The text coming in.
02:42I'd imagine Dan Campbell has already said he doesn't want Arnold on the team to start camp.
02:47Well, it won't be his choice.
02:49Boy, sure seems like the texts are the evidence here.
02:52Do you remember this?
02:53The text says, I remember when Rod Wood said he pulled Arnold into a room and grilled him.
02:56I don't think Arnold told the truth.
02:58I don't even remember hearing that story.
02:59No, the only thing that I remember really coming out or much of a statement was the one I already
03:06mentioned from Dan, where he just said, you know, I'm going to have to trust what the kid tells me.
03:13It makes sense that he is.
03:14Yeah.
03:14So that's where you're hoping that they did more investigating themselves other than just, well, Tarion said he didn't do
03:26it.
03:27Which I would anticipate and 100% believe that they did.
03:32John, Jim, Heather, Listenerland, why are people so stupid?
03:35Arnold had the world in the palm of his hand and he threw it away for what?
03:37God, it boggles my mind.
03:38Yeah.
03:39And as I understand it, okay, the incident happened where he was robbed.
03:47He made a police report.
03:49Yeah.
03:50And then before the police could really do much investigating or do anything about it, they decided to take the
03:56law into their own hands.
03:57Yeah, allegedly.
03:57Whether it was him or just his friends.
04:00Yeah.
04:00That's what I don't understand.
04:01Again, in context with that text, I just don't get why you would go down this route.
04:09You're an NFL ball player.
04:11And trust me, I've seen a lot of guys make very bad decisions and throw careers away.
04:16And is he going to be the next one that does it?
04:19We'll find out.
04:20On Scooble, he must have some massive nuts.
04:24Maybe he's ball maxing.
04:25He could be.
04:26The size of a mango?
04:28Grapefruit?
04:28Well, that would make it easier to get him all twisted up.
04:31Yeah.
04:31We'll have to go back to the film.
04:34No, we don't need to do that.
04:35People are blaming his pants.
04:37His pants?
04:38His pants are too tight, and if he wasn't wearing a size extra small, it would have been avoided.
04:42Oh, so now we're going with the shmedium argument.
04:46I think they're probably the same pants he's been wearing for quite some time.
04:50Well, maybe when he was off, he gained a little...
04:54Size?
04:54Well, a little weight, and then the pants are fitting a little tight.
04:56Oh.
04:57I don't know.
04:58Yeah.
04:59I suppose that could be a reason.
05:02A lot of speculation going on today.
05:03I love that we are speculating equally about all of the news.
05:07Let's get to Heather's news.
05:08Oh, my goodness.
05:08Oh, my goodness.
