00:00As we step through Easter weekend, we have a pretty volatile weather pattern, but this will be the caboose, the
00:05final storm system in this sequence of stormy days.
00:09Eventually, we're going to get a break behind all this.
00:11Now, on Friday, we're going to be dealing with severe thunderstorms erupting across the southern plains, right across parts of
00:17northern Missouri into Iowa.
00:19We have plenty of moisture and instability, warmth in place here to drive these thunderstorms.
00:26And some of the strongest forcing for this storm system is going to come in through those jet stream winds,
00:31a big dip in the jet stream, diving across parts of the Rockies and eventually into the plains as we
00:37step into Good Friday afternoon.
00:39This is going to lead to damaging wind, hail, and isolated tornado threats.
00:43Widespread showers and thunderstorms are going to be marching east through the first half to two-thirds of this holiday
00:49weekend, moving through the southern plains into the Ohio Valley and parts of the Midwest.
00:54It's going to be a sharp division between warmth on the east side of the front and a big cool
00:59down on the western side of the front as well.
01:02So we're going to be expecting numerous showers and thunderstorms and really a wall of rain.
01:06Some of this will actually be beneficial eventually into the Carolinas, but on Saturday, the severe weather risk area is
01:13going to be running from northeast Texas all the way up into places like Ohio with damaging winds.
01:17The main concern, also some hail, very warm in advance of this, some record highs for some, then a sharp
01:23cool down will follow.
01:24There will be some drenching rain on Easter Sunday up and down Interstate 95.
01:29On the cold side of the storm system, this Passover and Easter weekend is also going to feature heavy snow
01:34into the Dakotas and northern parts of Minnesota.
01:36We'll see you later.
01:37For more listener, you'll have to wait to have a special threat.
01:37We'll see you guys
