00:00We are talking about temperatures in the 80s and 90s still at this point 86 in Chicago 93 over in
00:06Rapid City. Here's the relief though moving it not Saturday though the warm air it remains in
00:12place that cold front is just not fast enough to bring that relief for Saturday so another day of
00:17record challenging highs. It's really the overnight hours that we get these thunderstorms into the
00:22Dakotas into Nebraska and many of the areas in the northern plains. Can't rule out a few showers
00:28or thunderstorms for the morning and afternoon though but a lot of dry air is out ahead of this.
00:33There is a severe weather threat as well again overnight hours into Sunday morning. It's mainly
00:39damaging wind gusts that we're talking about but we could see some hail as well in this part of the
00:43country. We could even see some large hail but be prepared for all types of severe weather really.
00:49Here's how things play out on future radar. This is what I was talking about with maybe we get a shower
00:53or thunderstorm into the Dakotas in the morning the afternoon. This model is a little fast with the
00:57timing but either way there's dry air out ahead of this system that's going to make it difficult for
01:02rain to reach the ground until we get that cold front that whole line of storms moving in again
01:06overnight. We wake up in the morning in Minnesota, Iowa with some of the thunderstorms but the line
01:11restrengthens for the afternoon.
