01:17But how does it all begin?

01:56because it's a cold day

02:11So, I wonder what adventures we'll get up to today
02:15Just hang up my coat
02:18Oh, look!
02:20A skipping rope!
02:23When I was little I used to skip for hours and hours
02:32Oh, I'm not so good now
02:35I think I need a little more practice
02:39Ah, there's the school bus
02:42I wonder who will be coming to visit us at the Bala Mori nursery today

03:43I think I can hear a noise outside
03:47Sounds like we've a visitor
03:48I wonder who it can be
03:50We'll just go and see
03:56Hello, Penny
03:57Hello, Miss Hooley
03:59Hi, kids
04:00Hi
04:01Have you got a minute?
04:02Yes
04:03The children are playing quietly
04:04Come in for a chat
04:07There's nothing wrong, is there Penny?
04:09It's Susie
04:10She's gone potty
04:12How can you tell?
04:13The shop and the cafe are in chaos
04:17Mess everywhere
04:18I'm at my wit's end
04:19Oh dear
04:20Has she got a bee in her bonnet about something new?
04:23Yes
04:23Unfortunately
04:24She's gone bananas about doing tricks
04:27Tricks?
04:28Tricks?
04:29Yes
04:29She's spent the whole morning trying to juggle with toothbrushes
04:33What?
04:34And when she's not doing that
04:36She's bouncing up and down on her bed as if it's a trampoline
04:39That must look odd
04:41Not as odd as watching a tryout still walking
04:45Using the cafe mops
04:47She'll be riding around in a unicycle next
04:50She is?
04:51She's taking off one of the wheels of her bike
04:54It's getting totally out of hand Miss Hooley
04:57I'm sorry to laugh Penny but it does sound funny
05:00Not if you have to clear a rope afterwards
05:02I suppose not
05:04Maybe Susie should join the circus
05:06The circus?
05:08Yes
05:09Well if she's going to stilt walk and trampoline
05:11She might be safer using the right equipment
05:13Don't you think?
05:14You could be right
05:16She should pop round to see Archie
05:18He has lots of things lying around that Susie might be able to use
05:21Oh brilliant idea
05:24I'll go back and tell Susie to call in on Archie right away
05:27Thank you Miss Hooley
05:28You're welcome Penny
05:30Bye
05:30Bye
05:32Oh dear
05:33Poor Penny
05:35I wonder which coloured house she should visit first today
05:44Can you see all the different coloured houses sitting by the sea?
05:49Well it's part of the story in Ballamorias
05:53Which is the house for me?
05:55Is it orange?
05:57Is it red?
05:58Or should we go to the blue house instead?
06:01Yellow, green, white or pink?
06:04Tell me what do you think?
06:06Orange house, yellow, red, blue house or pink?
06:12Green house, white house, tell me what do you think?
06:18It's a red house!
06:21Yes, it's the red house because that's where I live
06:28Right Penny, watch this
06:34Oh, look at all this mess
06:37I think I'll try bananas next time
06:41Next time? Oh no
06:43And since when did we start keeping the mops in there?
06:47Since I had a wee accident trying to tap dance on stilts
06:52And it won't be the last accident you have unless you get some real stilts
06:57Real stilts?
06:58Yes, a proper pair of stilts instead of those old mops
07:02And a real unicycle instead of that
07:07A real set of juggling balls instead of oranges and toothbrushes
07:11And a real trampoline instead of your bed
07:15Where am I going to get all those things, Benny?
07:18Archie, you might just have everything you need
07:22Archie!
07:24I'll go and see him right away
07:33I just popped round to see if you've got the proper equipment to help me with my tricks
07:37Now, juggling is top of the list
07:40Ah, yes, having the correct equipment is very important
07:43Now, I'm pretty sure I've got some juggling of all somewhere
07:46Hold on
07:52Here they are
07:53Can I have a go?
07:55By all means
07:55Oh!
07:57Oh, yes
07:58These are much better than oranges and toothbrushes
08:03What for?
08:05For juggling, silly
08:07Yes, with the proper juggling balls
08:10This'll be a...
08:13Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa
08:27Oh, there must be something wrong with these juggling balls, Archie.
08:32I'm not sure there's a problem with the balls, Susie.
08:35Right. Have you got any stilts?
08:38Oh, yeah, I'm pretty sure I've got some somewhere.
08:41Oh, here they are.
08:44Get them.
08:55Oh, have a go with these. Proper stilts.
09:00Oh, marvellous.
09:02Just watch me go.
09:08Careful, Susie.
09:13Look out. Not so fast.
09:16Oh, dear, no.
09:21That wasn't quite right.
09:24Are you all right, Susie?
09:27Oh, yes, I'm fine.
09:30But your stilts are terrible.
09:32I think I'll stick to my mops next time.
09:36Mops?
09:37Oh, forget the stilts.
09:39What about a unicycle? Have you got one of those?
09:42Oh, yeah, but it's got a puncture in it, unfortunately.
09:47Aha!
09:48A hula hoop.
09:51Right.
09:51Now, will you hold this for me, Archie?
09:54What for?
09:56I'm going to jump through it.
09:58Right.
09:59Now.
10:01Are you ready, Archie?
10:05Now, hold on tight.
10:08Here I come.
10:11Whee!
10:16Archie.
10:18I thought I told you to hold on tight.
10:23Susie.
10:24Oh.
10:25I think you need to have lessons to learn how to jump and catch correctly before you start hurling yourself
10:29through hula hoops and juggling on a unicycle.
10:32Maybe you're right, Archie.
10:34But who'll teach me?
10:36Will you?
10:37Me?
10:38No.
10:39Oh.
10:40Well, who in Balamori can catch and jump better than anybody else?
10:47Of course.
10:49Josie Jump!
10:57Josie Jump is my name.
11:01Dancing and sport are my game.
11:05I'm always feeling rhythm.
11:07It jingles in my toes.
11:09It tingles through my body.
11:11Come on and have a go.
11:13Everybody try kicking.
11:15Everybody try bouncing.
11:17Everybody try throwing.
11:19Everybody try jumping.
11:21Sometimes I get the feeling I want to jump up high.
11:26I've got to keep on running.
11:28So far, I think I'll fly.
11:29Everybody jump up a little higher.
11:32With your hands.
11:34Jump up a little higher.
11:36Score, go!
11:37Everybody try kicking.
11:39Everybody try bouncing.
11:41Everybody try throwing.
11:43Everybody try jumping.
11:46Sometimes I get the feeling when getting near a hoop.
11:50The ball just keeps on bouncing.
11:52And then I do the loop.
11:54Everybody jump up a little higher.
11:57With your hands.
11:58Jump up a little higher.
12:01Score, go!
12:02Jump up a little higher.
12:05With your hands.
12:06Jump up a little higher.
12:09Score, go!
12:09Jump up a little higher.
12:11Josie, jump is my name.
12:14Dancing and sport are my game.
12:18I'm always feeling rhythm.
12:21It tingles in my toes.
12:23It tingles through my body.
12:25Come on and have a go.
12:27Hi, Josie.
12:28Oh, hi, Josie.
12:30So, what's the story in Balamori?
12:32Well, I've been practicing my special tricks.
12:41Juggling, unicycling, walking on stilts.
12:47Penny got so fed up with the mess, she went to see Miss Hooley.
12:51Miss Hooley said that if I'm going to do tricks,
12:54I need to use the right equipment so that I'm doing them safely.
13:00So, I went to see Archie.
13:02I tried to juggle with proper balls.
13:07Stilt walk with proper stilts.
13:11And jump through a hoop.
13:16But I still couldn't do anything as well as I wanted to.
13:20Do you think you could maybe help me to learn to balance and jump
13:23and catch properly?
13:25You're so good at those sort of things.
13:27I mean, look how well you can travel in.
13:30Well, I'm only good at it because I practiced and worked really hard.
13:38What do I do to practice?
13:40Well, you should do your tricks over and over and over again
13:45and eventually you'll get better at it.
13:47Hey, I've got an idea.
13:50You know Chris from the nursery?
13:51He has two cousins who practice gymnastics all the time.
13:55So, how about you and I go and watch a practice session?
13:59That would be marvellous.
14:01Hey, let's go.
14:03Yes.
14:31Oh, look Susie.
14:32Hey, that's Chris's cousin, Kumba and Sia.
14:35They're very good at gymnastics.
14:49That was great, Kumba.
14:51Well done.
14:52So, what do you have to do to be a good gymnast?
14:55Yeah, to practice really, really hard.
15:19Well, I see now, Josie, I'm going to have to decide on one thing,
15:23like juggling or trampolining or stilt walking or unicycling
15:28and then I'm going to have to practice, practice and practice some more.
15:33If I'm going to get it right.
15:34Good.
15:35Now, remember to use the right equipment
15:37and no bouncing on your bed, OK?
15:40OK.
15:40I'm going to practice really hard.
15:43Oh, I can't wait to show Penny what I can do.
15:54Oh, wrong again.
15:58Try once more.
15:59I don't know.
16:04Nearly, nearly.
16:06Once more.
16:15I do it, Penny!
16:19Come and watch, Penny.
16:21What are you so excited about, Susie?
16:24I've been practising now.
16:26Watch this.
16:32Yee-haw!
16:36Susie, that's amazing!
16:40You think so?
16:42Thanks.
16:44Practice makes perfect.
16:52So, what was the story in Balamori?
16:57Well...
17:01Susie was causing chaos in the shop with all her tricks.
17:06Penny and I thought that she would be much safer
17:09if she went to Archie's to borrow the proper equipment.
17:13But Susie just couldn't get it right.
17:16She still couldn't juggle.
17:19She still couldn't stilt walk and she still couldn't go through a hoop.
17:25Susie went to see Josie to learn how to balance, jump and catch properly.
17:32Josie told her that if she wanted to do her tricks properly, she'd also need to practise a lot more.
17:39So Susie went to watch Coomba and Sia practise their gymnastics.
17:44They could do some great exercises and tricks.
17:49Susie went back to the shop and practised her hula-hoop.
17:53Finally, she got it right and showed Penny what she could do.
18:00I think I prefer skipping myself.
18:04What about you?
18:11So, that was the story in Balamori today.
18:15Bye!
