00:11Ladies and gentlemen, and genderqueers, welcome to the first ever Legendary Ball, the Legendary
00:19Ball. Gotta fix my hair. Ooh. Keep that attitude. Women get sassy the whole time. Sassy women
00:26get on. Sassy women get off. It is now time to meet our judges, which means it's time for
00:33the Legendary Roll Call. She is the new queen of the hip-hop scene. Give it up for Megan
00:41the Stallion. Clap for Megan. Clap, clap, clap, clap for Megan. Ow, Megan, ow, Megan, ow, Megan,
00:49ow. Let's break this on down. Ah, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
00:56Ah, ow. Y'all give her a round of applause. Bitch, they look fabulous in tuxedo tonight.
01:03No. They look like Sister Act back in the habit. He is a world-renowned stylist and fashion
01:09guru. This is Law Roach. Pop that rich, rich. Pop that rich, rich. Law fabulosity. Law
01:18for us to see. We're gonna let the girls know who we are and leave it all on the floor.
01:23Give it to me, Lele. She is the voting icon of the ballroom scene. This is Amazon, Leomi
01:30Donato. I'm talking about Lele, Lele, Lele, Lele, Lele, Lele, Lele. Lele, Lele, Lele.
01:36Lele, Lele, Lele. Game changer of bold. The icon. Lele, Lele, Amazon. Lele, Lele,
01:42vote vote the Amazon.
01:47Ready to get smoked tonight, girl. And that outfit, where did you smoke it? What do you mean,
01:51this outfit? Bro. She is an actress, an advocate, an ally who stands for inclusion for all. Let's
01:57give a big welcome to Jamila Jamil. Jamila. Jamila. Jamila. Jamila. All the competition
02:07here, but I already know, like, we bringing the heat. We didn't come to play. Isn't he amazing?
02:14Give it up for the boys, your commentator, the MC, the iconic, Deshaun Wesley. Thank you.
02:23For those of you that know ballroom, you know that trophies are everything. So, every ball,
02:29we will announce one house who will reign superior above the rest. That house will become the keepers
02:36of our legendary trophy. Even though there's no elimination tonight, our judges will still be
02:43choosing a superior house. And at the final ball, the last house standing will earn legendary status
02:53and win $100,000. So, y'all know there's eight elite houses, right? And they must make the house
03:03statement and show us who they are when we call them out. And in the ballroom scene, we call that
03:08the Grand March. Yeah. Leomi, what makes a superior house? To me, what makes a house superior is not
03:16only having that strong family bond, but being able to come together and create a show-stopping group.
03:24I'm looking for the turn up. I'm looking for the fun. Are you engaging me? Are you engaging the
03:28audience? Are we all having a good-ass time?
03:34Laura, what's your focus, baby? You know I'm here to see the fashion, baby.
03:40All right. So, listen up, everybody. Our first house considered themselves the rising phoenix of the ballroom scene.
03:47Baby, we are here. We are queer. We're not going nowhere.
03:50This is the wicked house of Escada.
03:56To be in the iconic house of Escada, you have to bear the weight of the crown.
04:07We are not just the house of Escada. We are the iconic house of Escada.
04:14We are regal, baby. We are ballroom royalty, period.
04:18My life without the house would be nothing.
04:21As house mother, I definitely lead from passion, lead from my heart, guide my kids.
04:27I try to help them when they're in a tough spot, make sure all of them become legendary.
04:32These people matter. They give me self-worth.
04:36My yo-yo, she is my spiritual soul.
04:39And Jazul, if I am feeling a little hurt, I just put my head on the shoulders.
04:45This is my teddy bear.
04:48Cheyenne, she has shown me unconditional love.
04:53She's literally our secret weapon.
04:55Yeah.
04:55I had a pretty standard high school experience.
04:57I went to Catholic school. I got a job in a movie theater.
05:00I was actually pretty popular in high school. I won Homecoming King twice when I was,
05:04you know, and I won Prom King too. I did. Baby, I was winning everything.
05:09I'll describe Twilight as the rebel of the house, the burst of energy.
05:13This is all natural. This is me. I'm unapologetic. I don't give up what people think about me at all.
05:20Oh, they're like, this bitch is crazy, but I am here for it.
05:25To be a Nascada, you got to hold your own.
05:29We are a royal house and our reign is forever.
05:46Thou ported in.
05:54Move to the out the way bitch.
06:02A real bitch wouldn't have to bring our clothes.
06:04A real bitch wouldn't have the salad and salt.
06:06I'll make you feel this. I'll make a tangent.
06:08We're the real bitch.
06:09I feel hot, spicy, deader in the white tea
06:11Peter Pan, Peppers and he came over on pipe
06:13Me, built like a viking, eyes hypnotizing
06:15Mermaid to the sun slash rising
06:17Cards better not get declined
06:18Got a thing for the first and closer trips to divide
06:21Eat what be eating just like stuff
06:22I drink up my f***ing like it is fine wine
06:24When you greet me, got a curtsy
06:25Pretty young skin like a Hershey
06:27Real thick, real filth, just like a Furby
06:28Need a purr, huh?
06:30Glip, huh?
06:37Give me the last thing
06:39Give me the last thing
06:40Give me the last thing
06:42Give me the last thing
06:49Y'all gave it up for my house of Iscada
06:54The house of Iscada, baby
06:57I give it a strong six and a half
07:00That was too far, huh?
07:01That was too far, huh?
07:03Judges, can you please tell me the law?
07:06Oh
07:08Well, Megan, there's another stallion in the building
07:10Baby
07:15Y'all look really bummed, I really like the feathers
07:17I really like the move
07:18Like the whole thing was like super energetic
07:20And I feel like everybody room for y'all
07:22Janival!
07:23Janival!
07:25Janival!
07:25Yeah!
07:27Ja-ja-ja-ja-jamila
07:28You gave me everything I wanted
07:31I wanted precision, I wanted energy
07:32I wanted family, you feel so close
07:34It was such an amazing experience
07:37Was the Iscada selling it to you, Laomi?
07:40You guys did an amazing job
07:42I just wanna see you perform more
07:44Ballroom is not about choreography
07:45It's more about freestyle
07:46And expressing yourself
07:48So try to find a way to do that
07:49Where you're doing choreography
07:50But we don't know it's choreography, okay?
07:54It was great
07:55It was great
07:55I think
07:56To be honest
07:57I have to be honest
07:58I
07:59You lost me for a minute
08:00Like in the middle of the performance
08:01I got bored
08:01And I started thinking about
08:02If they had anything left at Barney's
08:04Before the store closed
08:05But
08:05Like no shame
08:07But I know
08:08I believe
08:09I said what I said
08:13But I do see the potential
08:14I know is there
08:16Well, I'll tell you one thing
08:17This stallion is making me feel like
08:19A little pony, baby
08:20Y'all give it up for the
08:21House of Iscada!
08:30If you're really a judge
08:31I need your full attention to judges
08:33Not be thinking about Barney's
08:34That's late
08:35I loved them
08:36I thought they were so together
08:37It was like that
08:38Confidence was like
08:39Just a little bit missing
08:40And that's why I told them that now
08:42So they get it next time
08:43Yeah, you're doing choreography
08:43But bring out your personality more
08:45Like let it shine
08:46All right
08:47So this next house
08:47Is one of the most celebrated
08:49And decorated houses of history
08:51You know?
08:51Ladies and gentlemen
08:52This is the house of E-B-O-N-Y
08:56That's right
09:01The house of Ebony
09:02Is here to remind you
09:04What the true essence of ballroom is
09:08We're known for basically
09:10Taking guys off the streets
09:11And be like
09:12Yo, you wanna walk a ball?
09:13That's how Ebony is
09:16We don't play no games
09:17We all come like a wolf pack
09:19The house of Ebony
09:21Is historically a black house
09:22Named after Ebony magazine
09:24And as a white woman
09:25In a leadership position
09:27You have to protect a legacy
09:29That you weren't born into
09:30That is a huge honor
09:31I love you for it
09:33We love you for it
09:34We love you for it
09:35I am a mother
09:36In a ballroom house
09:37But I'm also
09:38A mother to a two year old
09:40You know?
09:40We could go off at times
09:41And she brings that calmness
09:43That focus
09:44That peace
09:45That we need
09:46You get a room of bad bitches together
09:49Who's the baddest bitch?
09:51Here we go
09:51Have you ever heard of a bitch
09:53By the name of
09:54Zafati?
09:55Okay
09:55And then you also have
09:56Nick
09:59It's the best of both worlds
10:04Growing up I already knew
10:06Like my mother
10:06Wasn't accepting
10:07Of my sexuality
10:10When I did decide
10:11To finally come out to her
10:12I was put out
10:14Like I had to sleep
10:15At parks sometimes
10:16But ballroom really just gave me
10:19A family
10:20Like it really did teach me
10:21To just be comfortable
10:22With being who I am
10:25Everyone have their own perspective
10:26Of coping with their own family
10:27Ours are just bitches
10:29Ours are just real
10:30E-B-O-N-Y
10:34That's right
10:58That's right
11:00A-B-O-N-Y
11:02A-B-O-N-Y
11:06A-B-O-N-Y
11:07A-B-O-N-Y
11:11A-B-O-N-Y
11:25You're looking for this
11:40A-B-O-N-Y
11:45A-B-O-N-Y
11:45A-B-O-N-Y
11:46E-B-O-N-Y
11:52Oh, my God, I loved it.
11:54You guys did amazing.
11:56Like, seriously, I loved the energy.
11:58You guys came out, and you guys looked like you were together.
12:00Great job.
12:03Energy, okay?
12:04Like, everybody was excited.
12:05That's what I really like.
12:06It felt like a party was going on.
12:08Like, I was lit the whole time.
12:09I mean, it was cute or whatever.
12:13But, you know, I'm here to judge the fashion,
12:15and fashion needs to tell a story.
12:17And I'm a bit confused on what the story was tonight.
12:19Like, I see, you know, Asian fabrics, and then denim,
12:22and the story wasn't translated enough for me.
12:26Give it up for the House of Ebony!
12:31They liked our energy.
12:33This was dope.
12:34They only loved it.
12:35You heard it.
12:35How could you not really get our fabrics from this?
12:38Okay.
12:40All right, so listen.
12:41Back in 1982, the world-renowned ballroom icon,
12:45Willie Ninja, created the House of Ninja.
12:47Ninja, Ninja, Ninja!
12:50They are serving in a name,
12:51and this is the House of Ninja.
13:03I'm Dolores Ninja,
13:06mother of the House of Ninja.
13:07In this competition,
13:09we are the only house
13:10of only women.
13:12But you better not sleep on us
13:14or underestimate us
13:16because we are fun fatale.
13:18We play no game.
13:19And we came to slay!
13:23The House of Ninja is an international house
13:26that was started by the founding mother,
13:28Willie Ninja, in 1982.
13:30He's being considered the godfather of Vogue,
13:32and he had this passion about Asian culture.
13:36Thanks to the House of Ninja,
13:38there is vogue in Japan,
13:40in Taiwan,
13:40in Germany,
13:41in Chicago,
13:42in Italy.
13:43House of Ninja
13:43is strong,
13:45sensual,
13:46yet deadly,
13:46silent assassins.
13:49In Tokyo,
13:50I watched the YouTube,
13:51and then I found House of Ninja
13:53just like dancing like this.
13:55So,
13:56I asked my mother,
13:57I want to go to New York
13:58to learn this vogue.
13:59A lot of women look up to her,
14:01she's so famous.
14:03Like Asian Beyoncé.
14:07The House of Ninja
14:09is very precise,
14:11elegant,
14:11and classy.
14:12When we start to walk,
14:14they're like,
14:15oh shit!
14:18So,
14:18they're gonna gag,
14:19they're gonna gag,
14:20gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag, gag.
14:32Welcome to the world of Ninja.
14:39How do I look?

15:15Change the beat for me, ha!
15:17Drama, the drama, the drama, the drama, the drama.
15:18P is the drama,
15:19R is for rage,
15:20A is for anytime I commentate,

15:24and this is the way that I put on,
15:25You're and me.
16:03Baby, they look so sexy.
16:05Look at my sister.

16:10You know what?
16:10I feel like I styled y'all.
16:13You know what I mean?
16:14Like, it was perfect.
16:16Like, the look is perfect.
16:17The hair is perfect.
16:18The makeup is perfect.
16:19There's nothing that anybody can say wrong
16:22about what y'all just did.
16:26How y'all, bitch?
16:29No, but everybody looks super sexy.
16:31Like, everything was, like, executed, like, perfectly.
16:33Like, I love the cake y'all had.
16:35Like, everything is super bomb.
16:42When I tell you guys,
16:45Ballroom is here.
16:47I'm gonna say something real quick.
16:49It is very important for the world to see
16:51that the ballroom community is for everyone.
16:53This is a group of cisgender women
16:55who are not only dedicated to the community and walking,
16:58they come from different places around the world.
17:00And it's very important that you guys are here.
17:05Y'all give the alpha ninja a round of applause.
17:12Here's some lady.
17:12You want me an approval that we can be here?
17:16It was...
17:17There you are.
17:18There you are.
17:19There you are.
17:19There you are.
17:20There you are.
17:20There you are.
17:24There you are.
17:28Sexy.
17:31Glamorous.
17:33When the gorgeous house of Gucci hits the runway,
17:35we shine.
17:38I
17:38Started off in ballroom probably in 2010 at that time. You can tell me I wasn't like the shit
17:44Jarell he's an amazing overall father. He's perfect to me. I guess yeah
17:50He's gorgeous like you can see it. I mean, I thought about it before
17:56My mother is gay she's a lesbian she's a bitch lesbian that she's six foot tall and she's like my
18:01brother
18:01But she's also like my mom, you know, and I want to be exactly what my mom was to me
18:06to my kids
18:10My confidence comes from my mom I was able to come to her and be like okay mom like this
18:15is what's going on with me
18:16I think I want to transition and I want to take hormones and she was there with me every step
18:19of the way
18:20She was so passionate about me going to prom because she was pregnant with me on her prom and she
18:24couldn't go
18:25Could you stop dancing?
18:26So me going on prom was like her living through me like and when we went to go shopping for
18:30prom
18:31She bought me a $800 Cinderella dress
18:33Oh, it's so cute and I actually became prom queen
18:37It kind of made me cry a bit because I had all the women that were there that was cisgender
18:41and they were beautiful, but I was the best
18:46When we come into a ball everyone is looking like oh here comes trouble
18:52The gorgeous house of Gucci lives up to his name. We're gonna give you gorgeous. We're gonna give you glam.
18:57We're here to slay

19:30She's like that, she wants me
19:32Against her that sexy
19:34Against her that girl, but what?
19:35What?
19:37Can't do up enough, can't do the king
19:39Still a driven in a driven in a
19:40Can't do a fuck enough, can't do a game in a
19:43What?
19:45What?
19:46What?
19:57Oh
19:58No
20:03Let's go
20:24Megan what you think
20:26Oh my
20:27Oh my god, like, everybody up here look real delicious, like.
20:33And we matching.
20:34I was like, oh, she think like me.
20:37I loved it.
20:39So, Law, I need some feedback, baby.
20:41Did the Gucci's get you up tonight?
20:43Well, the Gucci's, well, yeah, they did.
20:47And, um, you know, my eyewear is Gucci, and my suit is Gucci, so.
20:53You guys came out and you showed out. I love the energy.
20:55I love the fact that you guys seemed so confident,
20:57and you guys were smiling through the whole time. I love you.
21:02All right, ladies and gentlemen, please give it up for the gorgeous house of Gucci!
21:06Wow!
21:08The other good feedback, it just feels so good.
21:10I'm just trying to work. I'm not surprised.
21:13Oh, no, man!
21:14How you feeling?
21:15How you feeling?
21:16I'm so proud of you.
21:19One, two, three.
21:20Gorgeous Gucci!
21:22All right, so listen this next house plans to demonstrate that no matter at what age you can forge your
21:29own destiny
21:35Ladies and gentlemen, this is the rebellious house
21:55The House of West is the cure to borrow cancer when I started the House of West, I definitely shook
21:59things up a bit
22:00Because me being at the time 27 years old starting my own house, that's something that people would say you
22:05can't do
22:06But we literally took the scene by storm
22:09We have like so many houses that came out after us
22:11Like the gorgeous house of Gucci
22:13The gorgeous hood
22:15It doesn't ring a bell
22:18They aren't gorgeous and it really isn't Gucci over there
22:21Girl, you're a king
22:25The House of West feels like we have no competition
22:28In a ball situation, us having each other back is like a war
22:32Nobody gets past the front line
22:35West! Let's go West!
22:59Make that sweet friend!
23:01Make that sweet friend!
23:05There!
23:14Yo!
23:24Do you like that sweet friend?
23:29There!
23:58Give it, give it, give it
23:59Give it up for the house of wiiiis
24:05The house of wiiiisd
24:06The house of wiiisd definitely came out and they showed out
24:09I love the outfit
24:10Good job, good job
24:13It's beautiful
24:14The clothes are given me like very London, very Vivienne Westwood tees
24:18You know what I mean, you gave me exactly what I was waiting for baby
24:22I loved it, I think you look incredible, it felt so modern
24:25and destiny. Oh my God, there's acrobatics. Jesus.
24:32I felt like it was very
24:33unique. Y'all were like y'all's own thing. Y'all did what the fuck
24:37y'all wanted to do. That's what I really loved about it. So y'all call yourselves
24:41the rebels of the community and y'all saying that y'all want to change the ballroom scene. And I
24:45want to know what changes do y'all want to bring to it. I want people to know that it's
24:49possible to actually not follow rules and still be unapologetically you.
24:54Give it up for the House of West.
24:59I'm so happy. I wouldn't change nothing about it if I could.
25:02Shouts out to the House of West. Shouts out to my team, my family, my everything.
25:05I think I was just dazzled by the outfits. Yeah, the outfits were everything.
25:09And the makeup. The way they presented some of the stuff was really good.
25:12Oh my God.
25:16This ballroom house became a household
25:18name in the documentary Paris is Burning.
25:22Yeah.
25:24It's Saint Laurent, of course.
25:30We are a boutique house.
25:33We are very elite.
25:35The nation of domination.
25:37Definitely a cut above standard.
25:39Dramatic and show-stopping.
25:42Other houses are definitely intimidating.
25:46I live in brief fashion.
25:49My father was a great dresser. On the weekends, this man was double pleated suit, tailored.
25:55His hands and feet were done. He was shining his shoes.
25:58So I was like, oh, this is what you can do to make yourself look better.
26:02There's no such thing as a dress down day. You can dress up on a Tuesday.
26:07If you feel great, then you should dress great.
26:09The ballroom scene, it just introduced me to a world I've never known.
26:12I won my first time walking, so it was just like, after that, it was just like, annihilation ever since.
26:18We all come from different walks of life.
26:21So it's just not like we were just born into excellence.
26:24Example of me, I'm from the hood.
26:25All the men in my family were just so strong.
26:28I wasn't growing up as a child.
26:31In the African-American community, a lot of people don't necessarily get bisexual.
26:37It made me awkward to those men.
26:39I was not accepted.
26:41Now, I am the one to be.
26:44And I'm not getting beat.
26:47Christian is very creative, and his beauty just exudes, like, amazing.
26:54He's shy.
26:56Then we have Kriti here.
26:59Bam!
27:00Just smart, intelligent, and is my right hand.
27:06We're all very close.
27:08We're a very tight-knit family.
27:11Growing up, I went through physical abuse, emotional abuse, feeling very misunderstood because I was transgender.
27:20Once I actually got the strength or the courage to actually transition physically and spiritually,
27:28it definitely molded me to be in the position that I am in now.
27:33I'm actually living up to who I'm supposed to be.
27:38Through all the hurt and the pain and the brokenness, this is the beauty that comes from that.
27:44We are that beautiful flower that grew from the concrete.
27:49Mark this video.
27:51Time stamp it.
27:52Skin dirty.
27:53We won.
27:56Glory be.
28:23These are the people you have to worry about.
28:30This world is for me, too, honey.
28:39It's reality.
28:40You understand?
28:41When I take off my clothes, there's no pads or towels falling from my hips.
28:44They are my hips.
28:46My measurements are 36, 18, 36.
29:02I love my clothes.
29:11Everything you do in life is like a boomerang.
29:14When you throw it, it eventually comes back.
29:18Don't fuck with me.
29:22Y'all give it up for the house of Easton the wrong.
29:25They might as well pack their bags right now.
29:29I love the presentation.
29:31You guys looked amazing.
29:32The outfits were well put together.
29:34I love the presentation.
29:35The only thing that I feel like you guys lacked a little confidence.
29:37You guys were covered, so the movement should have been a little bit more.
29:45I would have loved to have seen a little bit more energy in the performance.
29:48Maybe that's partly because I couldn't actually see your faces for some of it.
29:51And how do you guys feel about voguing more in the future?
29:53Do you think there'll be more of that?
29:54Well, this category was calling for a presentation, so I presented my house as we are.
29:59But you can rest assured, you will see a lot more in the future.
30:05Well, ladies, y'all know what I say.
30:08Give St. Laurent a round of applause.
30:14Your commentary was right on point.
30:16And me, when I said about the energy.
30:18It's true, there was no energy.
30:20My squad, we came together.
30:21Of course, we wanted them to see our look.
30:23So, like they said, they want to see more voguing.
30:26Trust me, you have no idea what's in store.
30:29Now, this mega house is known for the fashion categories.
30:34I love y'all.
30:36Ladies and gentlemen, this is the house of exclusive Long Vang.
30:47You know how you have rival street gangs?
30:49We have rival houses.
30:51But instead of fighting it out, we take it to the floor.
30:54And the best house wins.
30:56That's Long Vang.
30:58I am a transgender woman.
31:00The legendary Mother Erica of the House of Long Vang.
31:04There's not many house mothers out there like her at all.
31:07Mom is the heart.
31:08Oh, my God, I feel all good.
31:09She in this.
31:11When I first came out, I was 15 years old.
31:14I had a friend that took me down to Manhattan, the village.
31:17I see all these tall, beautiful girls.
31:21My friends, those women, they were born men.
31:23So, from that moment on, I knew that's what I want to do.
31:27From there, I was just me.
31:29I was Erica.
31:32I grew up in the Bronx next to the projects.
31:35There was always a lot of gangs.
31:37I was extremely feminine.
31:38I loved to dance.
31:40I would get bullied and I wasn't the fighting type.
31:44And so, the bathroom was my safe haven.
31:46There were times that I would come home from school with, like, ball spots in my head from, like, kids
31:49pulling my hair.
31:51I had suicidal thoughts.
31:57That was extremely tough.
31:59But the one thing that always got me out of that situation, my gift to dance.
32:06And expressing those emotions through movement made me just forget about everything that I was going through, you know?
32:16I think that there is a whole bunch of Latina boys in the Bronx stuck in the bathroom looking at
32:20themselves, wondering what's life going to be in the next five or ten years.
32:25Ballroom has shown me there's a place there for you.
32:30We've all gone through the same template, but we all bring a different formula.
32:34And that's what makes this house so grand.
32:36We're always setting ourselves apart.
32:38Transcendence.
32:39Transcendence.
32:40Okay.
32:41The house of land then way is to be the best.
32:44We want to be the winners.
32:46We are the winners.
32:47Ah.
32:48Sorry.
33:07Welcome me.
34:18You've just taken my gag virginity.
34:22The house of Landon has arrived, darling.
34:32Megan, did the Landon do it for you?
34:36Maybe.
34:38Look, red, my favorite color.
34:40It's real popping on y'all.
34:42Y'all look amazing.
34:43Y'all look like some real hot girls.
34:45You know what I'm saying?
34:48Baby, the whole room smells like pussy
34:50because they left it all on the floor.
34:53Yes.
34:54That was what I was waiting for, baby.
34:56To get excited.
35:00Everybody get the suit, the blonde vines, a round of applause.
35:03Oh my gosh.
35:07How does she fucking laugh?
35:10L-A-N-B-I-N-O, L-A-N-B-I-N-O, it's my vines, vines.
35:16That flip?
35:17That flip?
35:17Are you kidding me with that flip?
35:19I mean, we knew we were going to be the first ones to give someone a gag,
35:23and we have many more gags to get.
35:26Give it up for the house of All-Main.
35:33B-A-L-M-A-I-N.
35:37What's it?
35:40Expect the unexpected.
35:41Because the house of All-Main is going to bring you everything.
35:44It's going to blow your mind.
35:46All of us combined make this huge melting pot of wild creativity.
35:53I'm Jamari Balmain, and I'm the father of the house of All-Main.
35:57Callie is most definitely like our baby brother.
36:00Gravity is definitely our shady bitch.
36:02You're always like, bitch, what?
36:04Got to catch this one.
36:06Calypso is the world famous drag queen.
36:10My first year in college, I met this drag queen.
36:13They were giving her money to dance in heels.
36:15And I said, oh, I can get money to dance in heels and dress her like a girl?
36:20Oh, this is going to be easy.
36:21But I grew up in a church my whole life.
36:25Calypso knows the word.
36:28I grew up in South Central LA.
36:30Being flamboyant wasn't okay.
36:33I didn't come out until I was like 21, 22.
36:37When I went home, my mom let me know how happy she was.
36:42And how proud that I became who I am.
36:48When I became house father, I felt like I needed to care for and to uplift.
36:53Because when I was coming up, that's what I had.
36:57My father nurtured every kid on my block.
36:59If I went to the ice cream truck and there were kids outside, my dad made sure everybody got ice
37:03cream.
37:04So one night on his way home, two guys were trying to rob him.
37:08And my dad was shot.
37:12The shot hit him in the heart.
37:13Sorry.
37:16My dad passed when I was sick.
37:17So I became a man at seven.
37:20That was when I realized how strong I was.
37:27This is my first time ever crying, really crying about my mom passing away.
37:31She passed away from cancer, lung cancer.
37:35When my mom passed away, she gave Jamari a card.
37:37And the card basically said that she feels comfortable with going.
37:41Because she knows that I have somebody to have my back.
37:45If it wasn't for Jamari, and if it wasn't for the house, I would have been in the most darkest
37:50place that I've ever been in my life.
37:57To people that would underestimate us, I just want to say, hold on to your panties, girl, because they're going
38:02to be in a bunch by the end of this show.

39:31I was super tough, it was super cocky, it was super confident.
39:34It looked like y'all came in here to rinse shit, and that's what y'all did.
39:39It was a full, complete story.
39:42I saw the Matrix in the performance, I saw it in the costumes.
39:46I have one question from my world, from the fashion world, we pronounce it Balmain.
39:50And I hear you saying Balmain, so can you explain to me why it's different?
39:53Because we're the main attraction.
39:58I love the energy that you guys came out with.
40:00I love the confidence, the outfits look amazing.
40:02The only thing that you guys were missing was voguing, was ballroom.
40:05I want to see voguing, I want to see runway, I want to see you guys spring it.
40:08And I know you can.
40:09So I can't wait to see you again.
40:12Y'all give the house of Balmain a round of applause.
40:19I'm happy.
40:19I am completely satisfied.
40:21But we're the superior house.
40:23We are the time.
40:24Period.
40:28Y'all just seen our eight sickening houses give their all in hopes to being the superior
40:34house for the night, yeah?
40:38Show some love as we bring them back on the stage.
40:41So let's get them back, baby.
40:44Let's see Father Jerrell from the gorgeous house of Bouchie.
40:48Father Aya from the house of Ebony.
40:52Erika, mother from the house of London.
40:55London from the house of Escada.
40:59Misha Lay from the house of Thaleron.
41:02Mother Dolores from the house of Ninja.
41:04Father King James from the house of West.
41:07And last but not least, Father Jerrell from the house of Balmain.
41:13Well, you were all amazing.
41:16But as we all know, there can only be one superior house.
41:21Shout out the house that you think gonna win this.
41:22What's up?
41:23What do y'all think?
41:28One house.
41:44The first, the first keepers of the legendary trophy are...
41:50the first, the first, the first, the last, the first.
42:09ENA! ENA! ENA NGA!
42:20Oh, no shade.
42:21The ninjas was cute.
42:22The ninjas did not deserve it.
42:23They had no energy.
42:24Who did the crowd get loud as four?
42:29Tonight's ball was special,
42:30and no one went home this time.
42:33But at the next function,
42:35one house will get chopped.
42:40Well, I guess what, ladies and gentlemen.
42:41See you next time.
