Ukraine initially developed heavier bomber drones to drop explosives on Russian positions. But as logistics missions near the front line have grown deadlier, bombers have begun taking on new roles.

00:01Bomber drones like this are increasingly being used for running logistics missions inside Ukraine's kill zone.
00:11Now this beast is known as the Peron Max and at $25,000 a pop this is one of the
00:17biggest drones in the Ukrainian army at the moment.
00:20This is used for logistics supplies and bomber missions as well.
00:24As you can see it comes with Starlink GPS satellite navigation but if that fails it's got optical navigation as
00:33well.
00:34And this is just another example of the incredible innovation that is transforming warfare here in Ukraine.
00:49Peron Max drones already spend around half of their time providing delivery services.
00:54They can carry loads of up to 45 kilograms over a distance of 15 kilometers.
01:00Now this is about taking a step to the fire zone.
01:03There is a lot of food.
01:03We will not have the air force.
01:04If we don't get the air force...
01:05You can get the air force nesk of this one.
01:09In one time, we will go to the boat around 20 kilometers.
01:15I have told you that it's better than NRK system because it's worse than it's better.
01:21And it's better.
01:24It's faster than over 10 times given the Okita nesk.
01:28It's better.
01:29It's better than people that have been able to access to such batteries.
01:30line proving so deadly, Ukraine aims to replace 100% of logistics missions here with uncrewed
01:36systems. But drones like the MAX still serve a crucial role as bombers. Underneath, you
01:43can strap three shells, or one larger shell. They have recently started dropping old 155-millimeter
01:51shells deemed unsafe to fire from artillery barrels onto Russian positions.
02:18Piron also manufactures a mid-sized bomber, as well as the Mini, which has a range of
02:24about 20 kilometers and is mainly used for reconnaissance. You can read more at businessinsider.com.
