00:00Time for some predictions, Mitch.
00:01Yeah, let's get it.
00:03Now, we did our champs predictions preseason,
00:06and obviously this is going off just about the knowledge we had
00:09up to the preseason.
00:10I had SA as my tip, and I'm going to stick with SA.
00:13I think what we've seen from maybe it's more so the players
00:17that we knew less about going into the year,
00:21I think have really stood up.
00:22Mitch Harris being one of them, Jacob McNichol being another.
00:26So those two in particular have been some of the form guys
00:28for the Sanford Talent League.
00:29I think I'm going to stick with SA going back-to-back.
00:32We'll get into our MVP predictions as well in a little bit,
00:34but I want to hear who you're having taking out the under-18s champs.
00:38Yeah, I think there's a view that SA and Vic Metro
00:40are probably the two clear standout sides.
00:41I'll go Vic Metro.
00:43I think they'll bounce back from disappointing showing last year.
00:47So, yeah, I've got Vic Metro.
00:49I think they're pretty well accomplished across all lines.
00:53So, yeah, they're always hard to beat,
00:54and I think that trial match that I touched on earlier
00:57will really help them,
00:58and the midfield's going to be forceful,
01:00and they've got different ways to kick goals as well
01:02and a lot of options in defence.
01:05So, yeah, I'm going for Vic Metro,
01:07and I think Gus Teixeira will lead from the front
01:10and reinforce his top 10 credentials
01:12to take out Vic Metro's MVP in the luck medal.
01:14Who are the other MVP winners you're going to have?
01:16George Gale from WA.
01:17Been really impressed with what he's done.
01:19So, yeah, versatile running power, good kick.
01:22Ethan Herbert from South Australia played really well on the weekend inside 50,
01:26taking some contested marks and kicking the four goals.
01:29Top 10 prospect from South Australia.
01:31I've got him leading the way there.
01:33Clancy Snell for Vic Country to do what Harry Dean did last year
01:36and really enhance his stocks through the national championships.
01:38And Caelan Murray as a surprise packet from the Allies.
01:42I just love his speed.
01:43He's someone I'm really starting to enjoy watching.
01:46There you go.
01:47I am going with, and if you go off the last few years,
01:49it seems to be very midfield heavy, the MVPs.
01:52Not to say it's certainly made my decision easy,
01:54but Ethan Matthews for the Allies.
01:57Cota Edwards for SA.
01:58I think back-to-back SA skippers leading their states to the champs.
02:03Ethan Drever for Vic Country.
02:05Lucas Robinson, I think when we talk about big inside midfield heavy guys,
02:11like you look at Dyson Sharp and Harvey Langford in years gone by,
02:13I think Lucas Robinson can certainly match that.
02:15And a player you mentioned before, Harvey Cook for Vic Metro.
02:18He's probably the player of difference when you look at the four others in that mix.
02:22Like I said, as a potential pure deep forward target who can float up through midfield,
02:26I think he's the one that's going to turn a lot of heads for Vic Metro at this year's champs.
