00:00and uh i did not sleep last night i maybe got an hour and a half of sleep the edible
00:05never
00:05actually kicked in and it was uh it was
00:11just uh no words there's no words to describe what we all witnessed last night whether you're
00:19on a plane cross country watching on jet blue uh whether you're uh outed on the streets of
00:26new york city in the garden in jersey and philly uh wherever you might have been last night we got
00:34treated to one of the most epic finishes in sports history not just nba history in sports history now
00:43to be fair depending on what side of the fence you're on whether you gambled on it or have a
00:48rooting interest in the game based on fandom you could look at it as either the single biggest
00:53choke job in the history of all sports blowing a 29 point lead in a pivotal game four of the
01:00nba
01:01finals or you could look at it as the most uh the guttiest amazing comfort behind victory in the
01:10history of professional sports for guys like me who are new york born and raised this is the only
01:16thing i've ever witnessed in my life that is close to game six 1986 new york mets boston red sox
01:22world
01:23series because it didn't win the mets the world series they were down huge early it's the greatest
01:29comeback arguably in baseball history in a world series game it forced the game seven that the
01:35mets then won a lot of similarities here to last night's game but i can tell you this uh i
01:40thought
01:40he was dead and gone i'm not gonna be one of those these guys that tells you i thought the
01:44nicks had a
01:45chance at halftime i didn't i even said the words during my youtube special at halftime the series is
01:51now 2-2 but it's not over go to san antonio win game five uh they've already won game one
01:57there game
01:58two there so that's how i felt about it and i think that was the normal most appropriate feeling
02:03considering how bad the nicks looked and played throughout the first half of the game last night
02:09and then something magical happened something that you can't predict something that you can't plan
02:14for the new york knicks i knew they'd start shooting better i did feel like san antonio would shoot worse
02:21because they were over 60 from behind the arc so it's like in baseball guy bats 390 in april he's
02:27got about 240 in may right that's just the nature of sports right but what i didn't see coming and
02:33we'll
02:33get into the specifics of the game and i'll bring tyrone in here in a second was not that the
02:37nicks
02:37would play better i thought they would play better in the second half it's how poorly the spurs
02:43played you can't score damn near 80 points in the first half and only score 30 points in the second
02:50half and have no recognition of all of the big lead you have of the shot clock and the reality
02:57is
02:58have they taken a shot clock violation on every possession in the second half they probably win the
03:05game but here we are the new york knicks are now a single win away from their first championship
03:12in 53 years and i want to thank sports because i will remember last night's game for the rest of
03:20my
03:20life i'll remember where i was i was home i'll remember that my son is sitting to my right my
03:26wife
03:27who's not a basketball fan nor nick fan stayed up for the entire game she's over there on the other
03:32couch she gave me the fraggle rock doll pam for good luck at halftime oh there you go pam brought
03:37us good luck as well but it's one of those rare games where the unthinkable happened the irrational
03:44became rational and it'll never happen again
