Transkrip
00:00And any further attacks would be expected to jeopardize original peace and security.
00:50Yemen's Hufus have announced a ban on Israeli shipping through the Red Sea.
00:54Well, raising the fears of renewed attacks around Bab al-Mandab and the Houthi Yemen's have already actually threatened vessels
01:05connected to Israel.
01:07Well, this is a serious development because Bab al-Mandab is one of the world's most vital maritime choke points,
01:14linking the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and ultimately to the Suez Canal.
01:19Well, previous attacks by Yemen's Houthis already forced many shipping companies to reroute around South Africa, increasing the cost and
01:32times of the shipments.
01:33According to Yemen's Houthis, actually the move comes in support of what they call axis of resistance involving Palestine, Lebanon,
01:42as well as Iran.
01:43And this gains a major importance also as well, Iran is now maintaining its pressure and control over the Strait
01:53of Hermoz.
01:53You know, these two waterways and corridors are one of the world's, two of the world's most important maritime corridors,
02:01which definitely if any kind of disruption takes place there, it will have another major shock to global economies,
02:09especially Western economies, which are still and so far struggling with inflation and also a shortage of supplies.
02:18Saman, Iran's strike on Israel following the IDF bombing of Lebanon also marks a turning point.
02:24Take us through the latest announcements from Tehran.
02:27After hours of exchanges of fire between Tehran and Tel Aviv, both sides declared a cessation of hostilities
02:34and both announced that if not attacked, definitely they will not attack the other side.
02:39Iran has chosen a path of just offensive approach, just unlike what we have over the past couple of years
02:48seen from Iran,
02:48that it's always defending its country.
02:50Sometimes as part of its priorities and policies, it has adopted an offensive approach as well.
02:56Well, at the same time, US President Donald Trump is still sending political messaging,
03:03saying that it was for his pressure on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu
03:10that Israel did not launch a full-fledged war against Iran.
03:15But at the same time, Iran's Foreign Minister spokesman Ismail Baghai has said that
03:20definitely Washington is all fully coordinated with Israel in all its operations against both Iran and Lebanon.
03:28and definitely the US President Donald Trump is fully aware of what Israel does in the region.
03:35What is important to us is that the responsibility of the United States as a party to the April 8th
03:40ceasefire agreement is clear.
03:42Whatever happens in our region, whether the US violates the ceasefire, attacks Iranian merchant vessels,
03:48commits aggression against the southern regions of Iran, or colludes with Israel to launch strikes on Lebanon,
03:54The United States bears direct responsibility and the US will also bear the consequences of escalating tensions.
04:02Well, the Israeli Prime Minister has also said that if attacked again, Israel will give a powerful response.
04:10Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has defended the decisive moves by Israel over the past one year against Iran,
04:18saying that definitely all the Israeli moves, in the past one year he was referring to the 12-day war,
04:27which was initiated on June 13, 2025 against Iran, was indeed a game-changer for Israel.
04:38A year ago we launched a historic preemptive strike against Iran's intention to destroy us with atomic bombs.
04:44We thwarted this immediate threat, and also eliminated the tyrant Khamenei.
04:48Had we not acted in time and with force, we would not be here today.
04:52And I promise, and promise again, there will be no nuclear weapons in Iran.
04:56Definitely we have to wait and see whether further developments are being unfolded which might disrupt shipping transit across these
05:06two strategic maritime choke points,
05:10or if the escalation will be unfolding in the coming hours, and any further attacks would be expected to jeopardize
05:18original peace and security.
05:20Thank you very much.
05:39Thank you very much.
