00:00It's over. The streak has come to an end. The greatest postseason streak in the modern era
00:05came to an end at Madison Square Garden last night, and there are some people reacting like
00:10the series ended. Relax. The New York Knicks lost one basketball game. It's their first
00:14loss in a month and a half. And why did they lose the game? A lot of reasons. Most notably
00:19because they didn't play well. They missed their first nine three-point shots in the
00:24fourth quarter. They had more turnovers than they've had in any game they've played since
00:28the game two loss to the Atlanta Hawks. They had fewer assists last night in any
00:33game they've played since the game two loss to the Atlanta Hawks. The refs are a
00:38small part of it. Sure, and we'll engage in that conversation, but the refs are not
00:41the number one, the number two, or the number three reason as to why the New York
00:46Knicks lost last night. Jalen Brunson 32 points last night, but didn't shoot very
00:51well. Mikael Bridges got in foul trouble early. That may go to the refs
00:55conversation. We can discuss that coming up. And had five points last night, right?
01:00OG, I know he was great. I did predict before the game because I've been the best predictor
01:04of all things basketball in the world that he'd have 30 points last night. He had 28
01:09and makes that last meaningless shot on the number yet again. But that's neither here nor
01:15there. My genius when it comes to basketball. You picked them to win and they didn't win.
01:19I felt like I had to pick them to win. Although I did say on this show that I thought
01:24last night
01:25was going to be the toughest game in the series for the Knicks. Right again.
01:29But you thought it'd be a tough win. I thought it'd be a tough game. And until the Knicks
01:34lost, I can't pick against them because when you win 13 straight games, picking against them
01:39becomes fool's gold. Now that we've, I think, acknowledged the main reasons why the Knicks
01:45lost that game. Number one, two, and three. I think we should get to number four. Hold
01:49on real fast before you get to number four. I want to get to number four. No, no, you're
01:52right. Something egregious happened last night. I agree, but. Multiple times. Right. But
01:56I just want to point out for people, Jalen Brunson, who's their best player. Yeah. Three
02:01games. He now has the same amount of turnovers as assists. And now to score his 81 points in
02:07those three games, it's taken 82 shots. Yeah. He's struggling. Right now. I agree. Maybe
02:12if they stop punching him in the face, you know, his shots are four more. Well, what
02:16happened to yesterday? How about that? That was funny. How about that? No, before you
02:18get to number four. I thought I was watching a basketball game. Turned out I was watching
02:20an MMA fight at Madison Square Garden. My fault. Before you get to number four. Yes. I just
02:25want to point out. And number four is the officiator. Right. Just yesterday, I want to say
02:29on this show live, Craig says, quote, I like that the refs are letting them play. Yeah. Fast
02:37forward 24 hours and now number four. They didn't let him play last night. That's the whole
02:41point. Right now. If you look at the second half yesterday, there's a 20 free throw disparity
02:47just about. Just about. And how many free throws the Spurs got versus how many free throws the
02:51Knicks got. The Knicks, the Spurs were in the bonus with nine and a half minutes left to
02:56go. That's five fouls against the Knicks in three minutes of basketball. Yeah. Now, some
03:01were fouls. I'm not saying that every foul is a bad call, but let's focus on what happened
03:05and was not called in the first half of the game last night when Wembe Yamamama, out of
03:12frustration, grabs that little peanut size head, according to the size of the hand of Wembe's,
03:18right, of Jalen Brunson, and throws him to the ground. Should have been a flagrant. Does
03:22it in the middle of the court. Three referees looking at it and no call. Should have been
03:27a flagrant. Now, they can give him a flagrant today on it. I believe they will. Here's what
03:32happens if they give him a flagrant one. If they give him a flagrant one, he's now at the max
03:38of
03:38three flagrants in the postseason, meaning the next one, and he's kicked out of the game. Right.
03:46If they gave him a flagrant two, which I think would have been debated, had they reviewed that
03:52last night, he's kicked out of last night's game because he's over the threshold of three.
03:59The NBA cannot be taken seriously if they do not give him at least a flagrant one today. Now,
04:07you know, yesterday, well, excuse me, after game three, two, the NBA came out, they rescinded the
04:12technical foul against Mitchell Robinson because that was, oh, shocker, another bad call that went
04:18against the Knicks. The NBA corrected that after the fact. Of course, you don't take away the free throw
04:23because the game is already over. So it didn't help the Knicks out other than it's one less
04:27technical against Mitchell Robinson. And they had won the game anyway. Yes. My belief is that
04:32the NBA has no choice today. They cannot let today go by and not acknowledge the egregious miss
04:40on Jalen Brunson's head being manhandled by the freak that is Wamba Yama Mama.
