00:06Olá, bom dia. Bem-vindo ao Brasil. Quase aprendi português. Quase, quase, quase, ok?
01:10Não podemos espalhar nada. Você quer começar?
01:14Bem, you know, Ashley is still... She's always struggling, isn't she?
01:19She's always having a hard time. So she's just struggling with, like, Vought, dealing with
01:25the stress of her job around Vought, as always. I mean, it's, you know, the long journey of
01:31poor Ashley and having a horrible boss.
01:33Poor Ashley. We all know what that's like.
01:36Well, I think the stakes are higher, right? So for every character, for Ashley, the stress
01:42is higher because the stakes are higher. And then I think for Kimiko as well, obviously,
01:48the end of season four, kind of, we're both at a peak stress moment. And she's trying to, you know,
01:57find Frenchie and save the day. Maybe. We shall see.
02:02And then Annie is leading the resistance, which is cool because it's kind of what
02:07I think I myself playing her in the audience has waited for. So it's going to be cool to
02:14see if she succeeds or not. You never know in this show. Anything can happen.
02:17It's funny because MM has always been the voice of hope, I think, for humanity that we've seen
02:28year after year, season after season. He reminds us to not lose faith. And I think this season,
02:35we start seeing how the weight of being optimistic can eventually wear you down.
02:44And you start to wonder, you know, is faith even possible anymore? Is it realistic?
02:52When you really open your eyes and see what's happening around us. So I think that's part of
02:58his journey in this phase. Oh, man. On the brighter side, I think just us coming to season five was
03:08so
03:08exciting. Almost, I mean, it's kind of like a full circle into season one, starting something new,
03:17now knowing this is the last ride. So much was on stake in terms of just us talking about our
03:25characters
03:26and what they went through when the relationships and how you find them in season five.
03:31Um, man, what can I say about Frenchy? Obviously, we know, uh, you know, he's, uh, he's, uh,
03:41he's, uh, yeah, sorry. I don't know. Everything you say about the season.
03:46Yeah. Everything you, everything I want to say about the season will kind of ruin it in a way
03:51because it's such, it's full of twists and turns. Um, but again, these two are, uh, are waiting to,
03:58uh, find a way to get out of, uh, you know, no, no, no. Talk about, I am, I am
04:05ruining everything,
04:06but it's good because it's the first one. So I'm learning how, what not to say.
04:10This is great. You can talk about your romance with Tomiko. Yeah.
04:15You're allowed to talk about that. Yeah. Okay. There you go.
04:18And Erin Starlight is the face of resistance, you know, uh, what do you think she has to talk
04:26people in terms of, you know, pressure and resistance to? I feel like just
04:34inherently because of what she's gone through and because she's, I mean, listen, the show started
04:38out with her being in the position of being the opposite of the resistance, right? Like she was,
04:45she was someone who believed in Vought and the audience saw, um, or was introduced to the
04:51corruptness of Vought through her eyes. And they went through from her perspective, sort of the,
04:57like previous to her finding out what Vought really was the hopeful and the, what we perceived to be
05:03naivete, but what we learned to be just like earnestness, trans, uh, form into a bitterness.
05:10And I think that we've seen her trying to figure out what the right thing to do is this entire
05:15time
05:16and just be the only earnest character in the show. And so I think really what we've been taught is
05:24how to, how to adapt to your surroundings and how to continuously fight for good,
05:36even though it's not necessarily happening the way that you thought it might. Um, and I think that
05:43we're going to continue to see how she metabolizes her trauma and whether that allows, whether her
05:50trauma allows her to sort of turn it into a strength or does it eat her up? I think the
05:56final season is
05:57really about that. And, you know, since the beginning, the show is very novel for having a lot of graphic
06:03violence and action sequence. Uh, what was the most intense scene you, you shot during all this process?
06:14There's been so much, there's been so much. I think my character, especially we've gone to great lengths,
06:22um, to kind of mirror the comic books a little bit. And so in season one, we had the eye
06:28gouging and
06:29we pierced through heart. That was, um, crazy job by our prosthetics and special effects team.
06:36I think one thing that, you know, as a viewer, you kind of forget is how many, uh, departments go
06:41into,
06:41uh, making the gag work. And so I, I still remember, you know, all the times that we are in
06:48stunt rehearsal and,
06:49uh, our VFX team and the special effects team and the prosthetics team, they all come together and we
06:56do a test and, uh, you know, it, the brain has to score in the right direction and the blood
07:03has to,
07:03you know, pump the blood, more blood, more blood. Um, we've done a lot of gags. Like, yeah, there's so
07:09many to choose from. I think mine, you know, uh, it always has to do with like some kind of
07:16body part
07:16coming out. Yeah. And then the termite sequence was just, oh my God. Yeah. The chicken? The chicken.
07:23Yeah. Wait, the chicken is in the barn? In the barn. In the barn. I, I did. That was crazy.
07:27Yeah. I did a rehearsal with the chickens. Did you rehearse with them? Oh yeah. I went through
07:32rehearsals with the chickens. We had, we had to meet and greet. We had to meet you. Yeah. We had
07:36to,
07:37you know, like say hello and see if we vibed and we had to choose the right chicken and, um,
07:43because you,
07:43you have to keep swapping them. Um, because after a while you do this motion to, uh, get the wings
07:50to
07:51flap, but then they get used to it. So they start to just kind of move. They, they just kind
07:56of calmly
07:57like go with your movements. And so you have to change the chicken every, you know, couple takes.
08:02We've done some crazy things on the show. Yeah. Amazing. Didn't you take some of the eggs home from
08:07the chicken? They laid eggs for me. They laid eggs for me. I ate them. They were delicious.
08:14They were a labor of love. We're still friends. We're still friends. The only thing I can tell
08:19you is like you open the script and it happened throughout the entire series where we read the
08:24script and go, holy what? And then you go back to reread it because you can't believe you're going to
08:31do
08:31it. So this season, it happened almost every other page and that answers your question.
08:38Yeah, it doesn't, but it does. I was there. Yeah. So can we expect an intense season?
08:47Yeah, it's definitely, uh, an Armageddon type of feeling. Um, I've always, uh,
08:56every season I always say, you know, it, it, it supersedes the last one. And, uh, when I read
09:03the first episode of this season, it felt like a season finale of what we've shot in the past.
09:13That's our opener. So that's how intense I think that, um, we're going this season. We, we come out
09:21literally, you know, if it were a boxing metaphor, you save your biggest punches for the end.
09:27We start with the biggest punches. We already have spinoffs going on or to be aired in the future.
09:35What can the fans expect of the boys' universe in the next few years? Um, well, first up is, uh,
09:45Vaught
09:46Rising, which is a prequel show. We're, um, just past shooting the, we're just past the halfway point
09:54of shooting. It stars Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash and, um, uh, a bunch of other fantastic actors. And
10:01so that's a show that takes place in the 1950s and it's sort of the start of Vaught. Um, and,
10:08uh,
10:08it's really fun and I've seen the first few episodes already and they're great. Um, and then beyond that,
10:15you know, we're, uh, we're hoping for more Gen V where, uh, uh, they're writing the boys Mexico. It just
10:22kind of keeps going. Um, I mean, I, I keep asking for a nap. I'm just like, let me leave
10:28and they won't
10:29let me leave. So like, like I'm blinking and it's more code for help. Uh, with the end getting near,
10:39what do you think is the message the show leaves to the world? Um, uh, anyone who stands in front
10:48of you and says they have the answers and they can save you, uh, they're lying and they're trying
10:55to sell you something.
