00:00I first saw Coconut's photo on the shelter page and I really saw how bad of shape she was in
00:05and so I got in my car and just fed to the shelter to meet her.
00:08Oh honey.
00:12When I met her she was really shy and shivering, her tail was in between her legs and her skin
00:17was in really bad shape. You want to come watch a movie tonight? I knew in that moment that she
00:23needed a quiet and loving place in order to heal and so I told the foster coordinator,
00:28going to come home with me. No one knew her backstory but she did look like she had a hard
00:33life.
00:35When I got her home she was really unsure and shy but very sweet. That first night she slept so
00:42hard
00:43and I feel like her healing journey was really able to begin. The next day we gave her a medicated
00:50bath
00:57and took her for short walks. She was struggling but she was strong and you could tell that she
01:05started to feel slightly better. Day by day she started to warm up to us and show us her personality.
01:32And she loved to sunbathe and cuddle and show us her smile.
01:39And she loved to sunbathe and cuddle and show us her smile.
01:44One day my neighbor met her and immediately fell in love with her and adopted her.
02:04I feel so lucky and grateful to have been even a small part of her story and now to be
02:10able to
02:10watch her story continue on just down the street and see how it unfolds. I just feel very grateful.
