00:00Lexi did get a very bad bite to her face. Everyone around her was panicking.
00:05We received a WhatsApp saying there's a snake, a huge snake, and it's bitten a dog.
00:11She was so scared, she was hiding, she was dribbling.
00:18Lexi had not met a snake before, the other dogs had not seen snakes before,
00:22which is why they wanted to sniff it.
00:37The only medicine that's going to help is anti-venom.
00:40Lexi was immediately injected.
00:43The vet initially kind of gave it a 50-50 because she still had to fight it to come through.
00:49Even whilst struggling to survive, she's still whacking her tail.
00:53We also had to raise the funds to cover her treatment.
00:57We were just kind of like, let's do it, we'll ask for support from, you know, the internet.
01:01Her entire vet bill was covered within two days.
01:05Everybody was rooting for her.
01:07Her family asked for help and received exactly what they needed.
01:10And by the time she was going home, it was a full body wag, from head to toe.
01:15Jumped into her owner's arms, zoomies around the yard.
01:19She's not living in the past, she's not living in fear at all.
01:22Even the scar has gone on her face pretty much.
01:25She's a real testament to what happens when a community of people decide to come together and help.
01:31I think it's such a good reminder in these trying times of ours that really people are kind.
01:36We hope you guys keep following Sidewalk Special's work and help us keep rescuing dogs like Lexi.
