These two pitties were left behind without food when their owner moved away — watch them wag their tails when help arrives ❤️ We talked to their rescuer, Joey, and foster mom, TK, about their amazing journey to being chunky, happy and loved.

00:00They were living in somebody's front yard, no food, no water, and they were so hungry.

00:12It was getting really hot, and also it wasn't in the best area, so we really only had a

00:25few days to get a plan together.

00:32They were completely skeletal, very tentative, very like one love so bad.

00:55The vet, they were looking at other dogs and sniffing.

00:58They were so happy to be alive and be in AC.

01:02You're going to get a bath, you're going to be so pretty, you're going to turn into a

01:08We're going to get a little bathy bath.

01:09She is just very observant.

01:10Oreo is being fostered right now by my neighbor.

01:41The second that Joey showed me that dog, I knew I needed to reach out because I've never

01:46experienced anything like that where a dog is so malnourished and so skinny.

01:51She needed a foster that's going to rehab her.

01:57Every couple hours, I'm giving her food.

02:00We're making sure she's very comfortable.

02:04In a month, we got that dog from 25 pounds up to 45 pounds.

02:28I want this dog to be in a permanent home, not a situation where I send her to a family

02:33and then she ends up coming back to me or going to a shelter.

02:39She has two other dogs.

02:41She brought her around her brother.

02:51She looked at me and she goes, we want to adopt Buttercup.

02:54I literally burst out in tears.

02:57I can't believe that this poor, poor animal was skin and bones on the verge of death.

03:07She's going on car rides.

03:08She's getting at-home baths.

03:11She is living her best life now.
