Skeletal Pittie Experiences Love For The First Time

His reaction to his very first belly rubs. Andrea shared with us how special it's been to spoil Kane!

00:00I've met skinny dogs before, but I was brought to tears by how bony he was.

00:06When he came to us, it was very clear that he had never even had a belly rub.

00:10I was just petting him when we were watching TV.

00:13I feel good.

00:14Yeah.

00:15And I started rubbing his belly.

00:16And the look on his face, he was like, oh my gosh, that feels so good.

00:21Kane?

00:22Kane was surrendered to our county's animal shelter.

00:26Where's your toy?

00:27He was in very, very poor condition.

00:31Obviously emaciated.

00:33He was ravenously hungry.

00:35He only weighed 25 pounds.

00:37He's supposed to weigh closer to 80 pounds.

00:42Obviously, it's fun to spoil dogs, but to see them experiencing things for the first time is just so magical.

00:50We took him to brunch for the first time.

00:53Gentle.

00:53We took him to the farmer's market with us.

01:01It was a really slow process before I really started to notice any changes in his weight.

01:07It's been more than two months with us, and I'm starting to see him filling out.

01:12And when we pet him, it feels like he's got more fat on his bones.

01:20Seeing his confidence grow and his playfulness grow has been so much fun.

01:24He's officially up for adoption, and we are so surprised that we have not found his forever family yet.

01:29Our ideal family for him would just be someone that loves him and continues to spoil him like we have.
