A corncob was stuck in her colon — but once it came out, she couldn't stop eating!  We talked to SGT Canines about Hope's unbelievable determination to LIVE, and how she's still looking for the perfect family!

00:00Her emaciation had to have been a minimum of 12 weeks, 90 days.

00:04She was found as a stray walking around at a park, begging some kids for help.

00:09I'm a sweet girl.

00:10She was just declining, and then they could be x-ray.

00:13They're like, she has a horn on the cob.

00:15In her entire colon.

00:16We're gonna get you better.

00:18It was like five, six hour surgery. It was intensive.

00:21All right, here's the baby.

00:23Hi, Mommy.

00:24She was like, no, I'm not going anywhere.

00:26You guys are giving me this shot at life, and I'm going to take it.

00:31Look at that pretty little girl.

00:33Oh, I'm gonna stop you right now.

00:37The second the corn on the cob came out, she was able to eat.

00:40She was so hungry.

00:43She was every day woke up, ready to eat.

00:46Also very entitled.

00:47Like, where's my Nutri-Cal?

00:49These aren't organic blackberries, I can tell.

00:52Good morning, sweetheart.

00:53She spent about three or four weeks with me.

00:56We got her weight a bit right.

01:00She's willing to learn to trust.

01:03It's just you need to give her the time and patience that she needs,

01:06because everything's new to her.

01:09I love this baby.

01:11Can you sit?

01:13Watching her go from what she was,

01:15to the condition she wasn't physically, mentally,

01:17to like now, being a good girl with some forks,

01:20it's just like the most unbelievable thing we've ever seen.

01:23I don't want your sticky breath.

01:25We haven't got one inkling.

01:27Not a single inkling.

01:27And she happens to be pretty.

01:30She's one of those special dogs that it's like,

01:32once you get her to trust you,

01:33it's so rewarding.

01:36She is clean, she is soft,

01:37she doesn't want to do anything except chill.

01:40I know you are.

01:41Somebody out there is for her.

01:44She's our star.

01:45She will always be the face of our rescue.
