00:00A good spread of buyers today, their feedlot on the heavier cattle, anything with 350 plus kilos was your TFI,
00:07your JBS, Charlton were very, very active and VLP from Yey, they would have taken home 90% of the
00:14cattle that were over 350 kilos in both the steers and even some of those heavier type heifers, very, very
00:19good sale, I mean when you look at the season they've had down here with the fires and that, it's
00:23a credit to them to have the cattle here, but yeah, they certainly got paid for it today.
00:28Feeder cattle operated in the $5.35 to $5.65 or $7.70 for a few cattle, once you dropped
00:34into that 370 or 80 kilos you weren't nudging 580s, when you got to the weaner cattle, another story, I
00:40mean your good runs at 280 to 330 kilo calves were anywhere from $6 to $6.50 and then as
00:48they got lighter, the calculator got thrown away, I mean we had some calves touching $8.60, I think they
00:54were about 190 kilos, so yeah, very, very solid.
00:58The heifer job, look, your feeder heifers, $5.10 to $5.25, but once again, once you're under the lighter
01:04heifers, your 300 kilo heifers, anywhere from $5.10 to $5.40 and some of those lighter heifers, once you're
01:11under that 220, 240 kilos, with plenty of brain though, they were nudging $6 a kilo all day.
01:16Probably not as dear as it was in the COVID times, but we're certainly well on the way and look,
01:21it's one of those things, if you haven't bought them today, you'll go to a sale next week and you'll
01:24readjust your pricing, but I can't see getting any cheaper in the next few weeks.
