00:00But with Alvarez on the men to come back up barring any setbacks how big do you think the next
00:08couple of months are for not just Alvarez but the rest of that group and putting Vientos in there too
00:13who's played more than we expected him to this year and then Beatty how much is it time for those
00:18guys to actually start developing more and taking another step here at the major league level?
00:24Oh I mean it goes without saying that's unbelievably important like this is a crucial time for these guys because
00:28think about it the Mets as we speak currently at least are still seven games below 500 and are a
00:33great position to be big time sellers at this year's deadline you don't think the Mets are going to feel
00:37calls on a Mark Vientos who while he hit a bomb this past series and has had some productive at
00:42-bats is not someone that the Mets probably view as a long-term solution to first base you think of
00:48Brett Beatty you love the defensive versatility but the lack of consistency has obviously been a
00:53problem because he's just one of many that are early similar profiles of players in this lineup you have Francisco
00:58Alvarez who I do not expect the Mets to entertain and trade but pretty much everyone besides Juan Soto Carson
01:05Benz and Noel McLean is pretty much on the table at the right price so this is key opportunity for
01:11the Mets to continue to increase the value of these players and for them take advantage of the opportunity that's
01:16bestowed upon them
