00:00I wonder how much of this is Rojas is to lose. Will the organization empower Rojas sort of the
00:07same way they did Bench? Because that's something I think David Stearns does deserve credit for.
00:12They pretty much came into last year through spring training, not handing it to Bench,
00:16but they empowered him to take advantage of this opportunity. And I wonder if that same
00:21opportunity can be afforded to Rojas here. Not only do I believe that is a strong likelihood,
00:27spring training, I don't know if we're going to have, unfortunately, given the pending lockout
00:31status, but even with that, throwing a bit of a wrench into things for these players to begin
00:36the year, especially if there is a role where Marcus Simeon is not here, right? Or say Brett
00:41Beatty's part of it, surprisingly, because I would find that a little surprise, all things considered.
00:46There's a role where the Mets could have next year where Rojas and Petrie could essentially be
00:52battling out and rotating early on in the year, especially if there is not spring training.
00:56If they look ready, the Mets could go about it, especially where they're just kind of flip-flopping
01:01going back and forth.
