Movie : Keeper (2025 film)
For their one-year anniversary, Malcolm, a doctor, takes his girlfriend Liz, a painter, on a weekend trip to a secluded cabin in the countryside. Upon arrival, Liz finds a boxed cake in the cabin, which Malcolm claims is a gift from the caretaker. At dinner, the two are interrupted by the unexpected arrival of Malcolm's obnoxious cousin, Darren, and Darren's European model girlfriend, Minka, who Darren claims doesn't speak any English. As Malcolm is scolding Darren, Minka, in English, warns Liz that the cake tastes awful. Despite this, Liz later eats a slice of it at Malcolm's insistence.

00:36Both of them are going to spend a weekend in a cabin that belongs to Malcolm.
00:40Liz only tells her friend Maggie about this so that she's informed.
00:43Liz and Malcolm arrive at the cabin and stare at the ceiling because they feel something

00:48Shortly after, Liz notices a gift with a bloodstain, but Malcolm just tells her that the caretaker

00:55Malcolm places a painting he bought for Liz, since she is an artist, and in the distance,
00:59Liz sees another cabin.
01:01Malcolm replies that his cousin Darren lives there, but not to worry because he's not

01:06Liz draws a heart on the window, then goes in to take a bath and hears a strange noise.
01:11She thinks it is Malcolm, but he answers her from far away.
01:14Liz decides to ignore it and relax, but in the window behind her, we see how something
01:19invisible makes a heart just like the one she made.
01:22At night, the couple has dinner, and at one point, someone desperately knocks on the door.
01:28Malcolm goes to check and realizes it is his cousin Darren, along with his girlfriend.
01:33Malcolm finally lets them in, and they introduce themselves to Liz.
01:37Darren's girlfriend is named Minka, and a very important detail is that she says she is
01:42European and does not speak English.
01:44Darren speaks privately with Malcolm, and meanwhile, Minka tells Liz that she is horrible, pointing out

02:37In the morning, Minka is in the forest trying to escape from there, but she starts hearing
02:42strange sounds.
02:44Minka hides, but ends up being devoured by something strange.
02:49Malcolm goes downstairs to see Liz, and notices that all the cake is gone, asking her if she
02:54feels okay.
02:55He tells Liz that he has a very sick patient, and that he is waiting for him to speak to
02:59him.
03:01Likewise, Malcolm asks Liz what she is drawing, and she answers that nothing, but we see that
03:06She is drawing women's faces.
03:09The couple goes into the forest, and Liz, in the middle of her visions, sees people from
03:14another era.
03:15She sees a necklace in the river, and grabs it, since it has a photo of a woman in it.
03:19Liz is at the cabin, and calls Malcolm, while he tells her that he has to leave to take care
03:24of the patient he mentioned to her.
03:25She replies that it is fine, and that he should go, that she will stay there at the cabin.
03:29He tells her that he will be back by seven at the latest, although he is behaving quite
03:33strangely.
03:34When Malcolm leaves, Liz begins to have a strange attack.
03:38She calls her friend Maggie, while looking through her binoculars at Darren's house.
03:41Liz complains about the lack of privacy she has at the cabin, and that Malcolm left her
03:45alone, and at that moment, Liz sees something strange on the roof.
03:49Maggie says that maybe Malcolm has a family, and is married, because he gives her a bad feeling.
03:54Liz hangs up the call, while seeing Minka's head in Darren's trash, and it ends up moving.
03:59But when she looks again, there is nothing there.
04:02As she walks away, a silhouette can be seen on the roof watching her.
04:07Liz takes a nap, and when she wakes up, she sees two Minkas sitting in front of her.
04:11She asks what she is doing there, and how she managed to get in.
04:15Minka complains that she knows what she is, asking her if she perhaps came from a very
04:20ancient past.
04:21Liz begins to have other chores, while Minka tells her that this is why the children believe
04:26She is their mother.
04:27Upon waking up, Liz spills a little wine, and goes down to the basement to look for something
04:32to clean it with, leaving her phone there.
04:34While cleaning the stain, she looks at the ceiling again, and hears a strange sound.
04:39At that moment, Darren arrives, looking for Malcolm, and although at first Liz does not
04:43want to let him in, she ends up accepting him.
04:46Darren walks in, looking everywhere for the cake.
04:48He asks her if maybe she was left alone, and if she is sleepy.
04:52Liz replies no, and Darren tells her that she is special, and different from the rest of
04:57the women.
04:58Darren offers her a drink, and she says yes.
05:00However, Liz runs to the bathroom to hide, and wait for him to leave.
05:04Liz tries to look for her cell phone, but remembers that she left it downstairs in the house.
05:09Meanwhile, Darren grabs a kitchen axe.
05:12As he walks up the stairs, Darren hears a sound, and looks at the same spot Liz is staring
05:16at.
05:17He keeps going upstairs, but there is a darkness behind him.
05:21Liz hears noises outside, and it is seen how something ends up dragging Darren's corpse
05:25away.
05:26Liz comes out of the bathroom, and from what can be seen, that dark figure is still following
05:31her.
05:31She goes down to the basement to look for Malcolm, while we notice that someone is watching
05:36her.
05:37At that moment, music starts playing, while the front door of the house closes.
05:42Liz begins checking the entire house, and the garbage disposal turns on by itself.
05:46She gets scared, and puts her hand into the machine, because she sees an object inside,
05:52while some strange fingers are seen, about to activate the disposal.
05:56Liz manages to pull Darren's watch out of there, and when she turns around, she sees a woman with flies
06:02and a bag over her face, although it seems like it was only a vision.
06:06However, when she goes to the main living room, she finds another package, just like the one that came with
06:11the cake.
06:12Liz feels uneasy, and calls Maggie to ask her to come get her, explaining that she feels like something is
06:17wrong.
06:18While the call is interrupted, we see a silhouette approaching behind her, while stretching her neck.
06:23It seems Maggie hangs up the call, and Liz looks towards the ceiling, but finds nothing.
06:29Just then, Malcolm arrives.
06:31Liz sees him come in, and tells him that she looked for him many times.
06:35She explains that she prefers to leave, because she saw people inside the cabin, and asks him who the woman
06:40carrying the bag was.
06:41Malcolm doesn't understand what she is talking about, and asks her to calm down.
06:46Liz tells him that Darren was there, and that he left his watch in the garbage disposal.
06:50Although Liz insists on leaving, Malcolm convinces her to stay, promising that he will check the entire house to prove
06:56to her that no one is there.
06:58Malcolm begins inspecting the house, and when he returns, he brings a bottle of wine, so Liz can relax.
07:03Both begin drinking, and Liz asks the name of her patient, and how it went.
07:07But Malcolm asks who she is talking about, and then remembers that was what he told Liz,
07:12so she realizes that Malcolm lied to her, and did not go see any patient.
07:17Liz becomes uneasy, and ends up going to the bathroom to lock herself in.
07:21Malcolm knocks on the door to talk, and Liz asks if he is not married, to which he answers that
07:26He is not.
07:27Liz hears something fall from the ventilation, and sees a photo of Malcolm with his family lying on the floor.
07:32Malcolm eventually enters the bathroom, and Liz asks about the photo.
07:35He tells her it was a long time ago, and Liz tells him that she wants to leave, but he
07:40cannot allow her to do that.
07:42Malcolm takes her to the main room, and tells her that he never wanted her to suffer, because he actually
07:46loves her.
07:47But what is about to happen to him is not pointless, but rather a very sincere act of love.
07:53Liz does not understand what he means when he tells her to just go back to her family, and let
07:58him go.
07:59Malcolm confesses that only one bite of the cake was supposed to leave her unconscious,
08:03but she came back, and everything was fulfilled, and that from the beginning, he knew she was different.
08:09Malcolm asks her if she has started having visions of other women.
08:12He tells her that he doesn't really know why that happens, but that he has known them for a
08:16very long time.
08:17Liz does not understand what he is talking about, and then he begins to explain it.
08:22Malcolm and Darren were children when they found the one they called the Mother, right in the stream near the
08:27cabin.
08:27That happened more than 200 years ago, and mysteriously, Liz looks a lot like her.
08:33This woman was very beautiful, but she was a stranger in her father's lands.
08:38Malcolm says that they had seen her several times bathing naked in the river, and while he was with Darren,
08:44I shot the woman, who was pregnant.
08:46The cousins took her next to the pigs, without caring about her life or the babies.
08:51Days later, the cousins returned and saw that she had given birth to something strange.
08:56As they approached, they shot the mother, just like in one of Liz's dreams.
09:00Liz only wants them to let her go, and Malcolm tells her that the forest is full of creatures.
09:05The cousins watched as their lives became filled with wishes, for they received eternal life, while the monsters fed in
09:12the shadows of their hidden, invisible, and loveless homes.
09:16The cousins were filled with life throughout all those years.
09:19Liz tells Malcolm that he confessed that he loved her, and he answers that, yes, that's why he won't stay
09:25to watch or hear anything that happens.
09:27At that moment, noises begin to be heard, and Malcolm says she should be grateful that he is not like
09:33the other neighbors, who actually like being in the room when all this happens.
09:37Liz tries to escape, but Malcolm says that the creatures seal the place with some kind of magic.
09:43Liz tries to make a phone call when an elongated creature begins to approach her.
09:47The creature moves across the ceiling and ends up leaving through a window.
09:51When Liz looks up, she sees human-shaped figures staring directly at her, and she ends up falling into the
09:56stream.
09:58In the cabin, Malcolm is sadly gathering Liz's belongings, remembering how he met her, while he stores everything in a
10:04box with the name and date.
10:05While we see that he has many more boxes stored away, Liz wakes up in the basement and observes some
10:12kind of woman's altar, while noticing a rather unsettling creature among the shadows.
10:17Liz manages to see a stove, and on top of it, another gift, identical to the cake they gave her.
10:23The creature pulls a head out of a jar, similar to a honey jar, to place it on the altar,
10:28and we realize that it is the mother's head.
10:30Then, from the shadows, the woman with the bag approaches Liz and says,
10:35Your children.
10:36The woman removes the bag and reveals a face with many faces, while more creatures begin to approach and caress
10:42Liz as they all laugh.
10:44Malcolm turns up the music so he doesn't hear the screams, and she ends up falling asleep.
10:49At night, Malcolm starts coughing as he grows older, and in the distance, he sees a creature.
10:54In the morning, an old Malcolm appears, hanging upside down while asking for help.
10:59At that moment, a person approaches, who turns out to be Liz, and as she gets closer, she confesses that
11:05the monsters asked her to stay.
11:07Malcolm says that cannot be, because he is the owner of the place, and Liz forces him to eat the
11:12cake while telling him that he is going to die.
11:15Malcolm assures her that he truly loved her, but Liz only replies that she probably said the same thing to
11:20all of them.
11:21In the end, she ends up drowning him in a jar full of some kind of honey, the same honey
11:25where they had the mother's head submerged.
11:27And then Liz leaves, bringing the movie to an end.
