Watch as a black bear is discovered inside a parked SUV after apparently climbing through an open window.
Natasha Hamblin captured the surprising scene in Whistler, BC, Canada.
The video shows the bear moving around inside the back seat of the parked vehicle while scratching through items in the interior. Hamblin and her partner spotted the animal while driving through the Bayly Park parking lot before noticing the rear window had been left mostly open.
Concerned the owners might unknowingly return and open the door with the bear still inside, the pair documented the scene and shared the vehicle details locally in hopes of warning them.
After giving the bear space, the animal eventually climbed back out of the SUV and calmly wandered away.
According to the contributor, the inside of the vehicle appeared likely damaged after the unexpected wildlife break-in.
The bizarre encounter was shared on Tiktok and Natasha said: "We were early for a physio appointment that I had in Cheakamus (Whistler, BC) so we were killing some time driving around. We turned into the Bayly Park parking lot to turn around when Peter Vogler (partner) spotted the bear in the back of a parked SUV."
" We backed up to give the bear space to safely escape and he merrily went on his way. We had to leave for my appointment and at that point some people had assembled but I’m not sure if they stayed until the owners returned." ENDS
