Watch this clip where a routine property walkthrough turns into an unexpected animal rescue after four newborn kittens are discovered tangled together and unable to free themselves.

Melanie Block from Manteca, California, USA, recorded the emotional moment while conducting a final walkthrough of a property.

As she inspected the backyard, she came across four tiny kittens believed to be only a couple of days old.

The newborns were tangled together by their umbilical cords and appeared distressed, prompting an immediate rescue effort.

Realising the kittens needed urgent help, Melanie stopped what she was doing and began working to ensure they were safe.

Fortunately, her friend Angel was nearby and able to step in. Having recently agreed to become Melanie's intern, Angel already had experience fostering kittens and even had bottles ready for newborn animals.

Together, the pair carefully rescued the kittens and provided the care they needed, turning what could have been a tragic discovery into a heartwarming success story.

She said:“What started as a routine final property walkthrough quickly turned into something none of us expected.

"While walking through the backyard of the home, we discovered four newborn kittens hidden inside — four of them tangled together by their umbilical cords and unable to separate on their own.

"They appeared to be only about two days old and were clearly in distress.

“I immediately stopped everything to help rescue them and make sure they were safe. But honestly, this story would not have had the happy ending it did without Angel.

"We had been singing together on the worship team at church for over a year, and she had officially decided to become my intern just days before this happened.

“Miraculously, she already had bottles ready for newborn kittens and previous experience fostering kittens.

"She stepped in immediately and knew exactly what to do. Without her, I truly don’t know what would have happened.

“The video was captured organically in real time, and I think people connected with it because it was such a raw, emotional, and unexpected moment.”
