00:00And let's let's get to Wyndham here to talk about just his sort of, you know, however long you want
00:06to create the window to view the journey he's been on.
00:09But this is a guy that in April 2024 was third in the OWGR, and he was, you know, as
00:15high as seventh to begin last season in 2025.
00:18Entering this week, he was 75th in the world.
00:20And in his last 25 starts, he'd made two of four major cuts and actually tied for fourth at the
00:252025 Open Championship, but only eight top 20s, seven missed cuts.
00:30And it was interesting looking at his stats.
00:32Two best finishes this year has been a tie for 13th, the Amex and a tie for 16th, the RBC
00:37Heritage.
00:38Both those weeks were big pop weeks putting.
00:41And so this week, he finishes first in the field averaging slightly more than three strokes game putting per round.
00:49Obviously, just hooped it on Sunday in route to that 60.
00:52And he was just talking after that when just reflecting on that journey.
00:56He said, look, it's been frustrating, but that's golf.
00:58I went through kind of a tough spurt, not swinging a good, not feeling comfortable with a lot of things.
01:03And I did a lot of work this offseason working on my golf swing.
01:06Then I started hitting it better, but I wasn't making the putts.
01:08Then finally landed on a great putter and everything's been kind of coming together.
01:12Where is Wyndham on your like tour big board or rankings of microwave putters?
01:18Because when this guy gets hot, we saw it with the 60 to close out, you know, rain, short and
01:22pebble beach.
01:24Very, very high.
01:25He's been a really since he's been on the PGA Tour, been an excellent putter.
01:31And I've always considered him to be one of the best long putters in the game.
01:35Just a player that not only has good speed control from outside 20 feet, but when you're from that far
01:42away, you're really good.
01:44But it finally, you know, had the breakthrough.
01:48You know, it's it's been a year in which he's done a lot of really good stuff.
01:52You mentioned the Open Championship last year, even at that tournament.
01:56He got off to a poor start.
01:57He shot 76 the first round, shot mid 60s the rest of the week.
02:00So he's he's a player that has all the capabilities of of of not just being a longtime major winner.
02:07He's totally a guy that could win another one.
02:10And it's he's he's the type of guy that could have a second half of a year just having this
02:17one week that just reminds him of bang.
02:19We got it.
02:20This is it.
02:21So it wouldn't shock me at all if he if he went on when another time this year.
