03:09And we'll get to as many of those in a future episode as we possibly can.
03:13Big news today about AEW having an internal thought process of a major push that they want
03:20to put on for Leon Slater, current TNA superstar.
03:25The word is that this is a contract year for him.
03:28You know, he's been scaling back his independent bookings.
03:31I'm assuming that he's doing that because he doesn't want to accidentally take on an injury
03:35that could cost him many, many dollars.
03:38The word is AEW is interested.
03:40Now, previously, even though he's in TNA, he was a big part of that crossover with WWE,
03:45and the fans of WWE were huge for him.
03:48He and Javon Evans had some great stuff going on, and it was kind of like a foregone conclusion
03:53that he'd be coming to WWE as soon as his contract was up in TNA.
03:56But now it sounds like that may not necessarily be the case.
04:00They do have that multi-year partnership.
04:02A few months ago, it seemed like it was a lock, but now it's a little different.
04:07In March 2026, it was reported that he was cutting back on his indie dates.
04:11He is basically, he wants to be the one in charge of his next decision.
04:15And he recently won the Undisputed British Tag Team Championship with his coach, Liam Slater.
04:21So he's probably going to be in RevPro for a little while yet.
04:24There's a report on Wrestling Inc. that talks about that.
04:28I'm sorry, eWrestling News.
04:29All the sites that I go to, eWrestling News.
04:33But he has been doing so well for himself.
04:35He recently, you know, has the record for the longest reign as the TNA X Division champion.
04:39He recently lost the championship to Cedric Alexander.
04:42He has such a huge following in TNA that any company that can sign him to a long-term deal
04:47would be advantageous to do so.
04:49Now, I think normally, historically speaking, you would think that he would have a better opportunity going to AEW because
04:55they've done a better job with smaller guys.
04:57But now you see how WWE has been pushing Javon Evans, people like Dragon Lee and stuff like that.
05:03And his connection with Javon Evans on a personal level may be something that could still help him go to
05:07WWE.
05:08Now, look, on a personal level, I couldn't care less where he goes as long as he gets paid and
05:13he gets to do quality matches and he really gets himself to be on television.
05:16That's not always going to happen with WWE.
05:18Sometimes, you know, it's almost like a flavor of the month kind of thing with them.
05:21They love somebody for a little while and then they kind of fade him out and then they bring him
05:24back.
05:24And, you know, I don't know.
05:25Now, there's a lot of fishing to see right now in both WWE and AEW.
05:30And AEW has people who are literally sitting on the sidelines because there's not enough TV time for everybody.
05:35WWE, their pay-per-views are getting fewer and fewer matches, so there's not as many pay-per-view opportunities.
05:39They don't do as many house shows nowadays, even though they are bringing some back this summer, courtesy of the
05:43efforts of Cody Rhodes.
05:44But, not sure.
05:46Not sure where he's going to end up.
05:48If you would have asked me two months ago, I would have been like, WWE, no questions asked.
05:51I actually thought he and Javon Evans were going to be World Tag Team Champions, like, in short order once
05:56he got there.
05:56But, not sure how that's going to go down now.
05:59We'll have to keep our eyes out and see how that plays out.
06:01Got to get into the important thing tonight.
06:03We are doing predictions for this weekend's AEW Double or Nothing 2026.
06:09It takes place Sunday, May 24th at the Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York.
06:14And, BetOnline has released the updated odds for the matches.
06:18So, we have the match card.
06:19So, we're going to go over the odds and our predictions for the show.
06:23So, the first match that we're going to get to.
06:26Why don't we do it this way?
06:27We'll go from the bottom of the card on the way up.
06:28Women's Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinals.
06:30Willow Nightingale, Alex Windsor.
06:32Nightingale is the minus 600 favorite.
06:34I actually hate that because she won last year.
06:37I'm going against the odds.
06:39My official pick is Alex Windsor wins this.
06:41I want to see Alex Windsor in a more prominent role in the company.
06:45I think she's an incredibly talented young lady.
06:47I think Nightingale doesn't lose anything by losing this match.
06:49She's over like Rover also.
06:51I think this is an opportunity to push somebody new.
06:54And, I think this is where Tony Khan, if he's smart, pushes Alex Windsor.
06:57My prediction, Alex Windsor goes over the odds and wins the Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinal match.
07:03In the men's Owen Hart Tournament Quarterfinals, Bandito versus Swerve Strickland.
07:07And, I love that Swerve Strickland attacked the Ring of Honor champion on a Ring of Honor show.
07:11I actually wouldn't mind him winning that Ring of Honor championship and going to that brand for a little while.
07:15Taking a break from AEW.
07:16I know, Pete, that's like sacrilege because he's so over.
07:19But, I really don't think Tony Khan has done enough to help the Ring of Honor brand since taking it
07:25over.
07:25And, I think Swerve could be the kind of guy that could really, you know, get them a media deal.
07:29If not, if it's just because of this tournament, obviously Swerve Strickland, he's a minus 1,000 favorite.
07:34I don't remember if I said it earlier.
07:36Willow Nightingale, minus 600 favorite over Alex Windsor's plus 350.
07:40Swerve Strickland, minus 1,000 over Bandito's plus 550.
07:43And, just so you understand that, that means I've got to bet $1,000 to win 100 on Swerve Strickland
07:48where, you know, I win 550 for betting 100 on Bandito.
07:52So, I'm going with the odds makers on this match.
07:55Swerve Strickland picks up the win.
07:56In the other quarterfinals match for the men's side, Samoa Joe plus 700 underdog to Will Ospreay's minus 2,000.
08:05There's nothing in God's green earth you could do to get me to bet on anybody but Will Ospreay in
08:10this match, in this tournament in general.
08:11I believe Ospreay's going to win the whole thing.
08:13So, my official prediction is Will Ospreay wins and takes down Samoa Joe.
08:18Now, we get into some of the more serious matches.
08:20Let's go down to Stadium Stampede.
08:22Chris Jericho, the Hurts Syndicate, and the Elite, minus 600 favorites over the Demand, the Don Callis family, and the
08:29Dawgs, who are plus 350 underdogs.
08:32Look, if Jericho had won anything since being back, I would actually give it to the Demand, Don Callis family,
08:39and the Dawgs.
08:39But, they haven't.
08:40They haven't won anything.
08:41Now, the flip side of that is the Dawgs have won very little, and I think they need to win
08:45some things.
08:46The Hurts Syndicate, that's where it's like the funky bone in the whole thing.
08:49I don't see them picking up a loss in any way, shape, or form anytime soon.
08:53I really think they've got to push Bobby Lashley to the top of the card sooner than later.
08:56The guy's not getting any younger, and he still looks like a million bucks.
08:59So, my prediction here, I'm going with the odds makers.
09:02Jericho, Hurts Syndicate, and the Elite win.
09:04They pick up the win, the minus 600 favorites, and hopefully this pushes Bobby Lashley further up the card.
09:11For the AEW International Championship, the current champion, Kazuchika Okada, the plus 150 underdog, the Konosuke Takeshka, minus 200 favorite.
09:22Now, even though there's a favorite and an underdog, that is about as close, even keel as it gets.
09:27That's like a pick-em.
09:28And I'm struggling with this because Okada has had it for basically forever, just about it seems.
09:34So, it's time for him to lose the championship, but how does that play out?
09:39What do they do going forward?
09:41What does it do to the Don Callis family?
09:43I think because I would like to see it more.
09:46I have no logic behind this.
09:47I just want to see it more.
09:49I'm going to predict that Konosuke Takeshka wins the championship for the first time and takes the AEW International title.
09:55For the AEW World Tag Team Championship, FTR, the plus 900 underdogs versus the heaviest favorite of the night, Cajun
10:06Cope, minus 3,000.
10:08I am not going against the odds makers here.
10:10First off, there are days of the week where I forget FTR are the tag team champions.
10:14Their reign this time is just, it hasn't mattered.
10:17I hate saying that because I love FTR, but it just hasn't mattered.
10:20Cajun Cope need to do this before they hang up the tights.
10:23They still need to have a championship match with the Young Bucks where they can put over the Young Bucks.
10:28They've already put over FTR previously, so it's not like picking up the win here is going to hurt FTR.
10:33They already have a win over Cajun Cope.
10:34So the official prediction for me is Cajun Cope pick up the win and win the AEW World Tag Team
10:39Championship.
10:40For the AEW Women's World Championship, Jamie Hayter, plus 250.
10:46Hirakushita, plus 900.
10:47Chris Statlander, plus 1,000.
10:49They are all the underdogs as Thelka, a minus 500 favorite, is supposed to retain.
10:55And this is one here I believe Tony is putting everything he's got behind Thelka.
11:00Keep her in the championship spot until Tony Storm comes back.
11:05That is my prediction.
11:06Thelka retains the championship, minus 500 favorite, and we're going to go with it.
11:10The shocking one to me, for the AEW World Heavyweight Championship, MJF, the plus 250 underdog to Darby Allin's minus
11:21400 favorite.
11:22Now here's the thing.
11:23Are we really going to see MJF shave his head bald?
11:26I mean, I can't even imagine that.
11:28If you would have asked me that six months ago, I'd be like, yeah, absolutely not.
11:31Never before Darby won the title.
11:33Now Darby just won the title.
11:34But he has been doing a ton of defenses, and that's an easy way to explain why he's not at
11:38100% defending the championship.
11:41I, this is a tough one for me.
11:42It's not a pick'em, because minus 400 is still a pretty strong favorite.
11:46But I just don't see shaving MJF's head.
11:49Then again, if you think about it, going all the way back to like old school world class,
11:54this really feels a lot like the gentleman Chris Adams, Gino Hernandez thing,
11:58where they were going to get their head shaved after losing to the Von Eriks.
12:02I could see it.
12:03I really could.
12:04And Tony Khan loves to do callbacks to the old school territorial days.
12:08Do we really, are we really going to see MJF bald?
12:11Oh my gosh, I don't know what to do here.
12:14I don't know what to do here.
12:15You guys are going to have to tell me whether I got this right or wrong.
12:17Give me, give me your predictions in the comments.
12:19Give me thumbs.
12:20Let's do this.
12:22Give us, give us a heart.
12:24If you want Darby Allen, give us a thumbs up.
12:26If you think it's MJF, we'll count them up and see what the totals are for you guys.
12:29We'll do that as like a mini poll.
12:30But my official prediction, oh my gosh, I don't want to make this call.
12:35Darby Allen, we get a bald MJF that night.
12:39The only thing that can screw all this up is I would not be surprised to see a returning Wardlow.
12:44And for him to get involved in some way, shape, or form and screw everything up.
12:48But assuming everything goes the way it's supposed to,
12:50the official prediction for me is Darby Allen picks up the win and retains the championship.
12:55That's all the time we have for this episode.
