01:03And my fear is, to the conversation you two were just having, that that is going to come back and

01:12And if that ultimately is why they don't end up in the NBA Finals, oh man.
01:19What a difficult summer that is going to be for a lot of Cavalier fans because Kenny Atkinson was completely
01:28asleep at the wheel last night.
01:31Inexcusable.
01:32I don't know what he's saving timeouts for.
01:35I don't want to hear about how unlucky you got when you had control of the thing and you did
01:46nothing to slow momentum.
01:47And certainly you did nothing to ensure that Jalen Brunson wasn't sticking shots in James Harden's eye every time down
01:56the floor, down the stretch.
01:58Yeah, it's interesting.
01:59I mean, I've gone over the game a million times in my head, Darrell.
02:01When you've repeated the game all throughout the day, what sticks out the most to you?
02:06Is it just the Atkinson stuff?
02:07Is it Donovan not doing anything in the fourth quarter?
02:10Is it Harden having just an all-around awful game?
02:12What sticks out the most?
02:14Atkinson and Harden the most.
02:16Donovan, once again, being passive in the fourth quarter bothers me because this isn't the first time he has done
02:24that, especially in the playoffs.
02:26I feel like he's a three-quarter player.
02:28And then the fourth quarter, he's just like, okay, everybody else, I got you here.
02:31Everyone else can just do the rest.
02:33And that's not how this is supposed to work.
02:35Not for a guy who's going to command a contract who potentially could pay him close to $70 million this
02:39offseason.
02:40Like, no, that's not how this works.
02:42You do not defer in that situation.
02:46James Harden was awful on both ends of the floor.
02:48More turnovers than field goals made.
02:50Once again, I believe that was the sixth time this postseason as a Cavalier that that has been the case
02:57for him.
02:58I can understand the Ole defense if that's not his bag.
03:04But also, at the same time, the whole reason he's out there is for his offense.
03:09And offensively, he was offensive last night.
03:12So that's a little bit of a problem.
03:14And I really don't want to hear about Kenny Atkinson telling me about how James Harden's one of their better
03:19defenders.
03:19Because I've just never heard a bigger bunch of malarkey than that.
03:23Right up there with being unlucky down the stretch while you're asleep at the wheel.
03:26So not using your timeouts to slow up the Knicks' momentum or using your timeouts to ensure that James Harden
03:34doesn't end up getting switched off onto Brunson the way it was last night.
03:39Because the Knicks went right after him and basically took a blowtorch to him.
03:42So, yeah, that is not a loss I'm going to get over very quickly.
03:48Because how hard it was just to get to this point, right?
03:52Everything it took just to break through that second round and get to this point and have a 22-point
03:57lead with just under eight minutes to go.
03:59And you gave that game away when you should be up 1-0.
04:03We should be talking about taking both games at the Garden and coming home 2-0.
04:09Yeah, that one's going to take a long time to get over.
04:13Darrell, I'm not sure why you're upset.
04:15Kenny Atkinson said they have data that we don't have.
04:19And it was just the one percentile of shots that the Knicks were making and all that kind of stuff.
04:24So, clearly, we don't know ball.

04:27And that's why he didn't take a timeout until Jalen Brunson was, oh, given the old colorectal exam for the
04:37Cavaliers.
04:40Kenny and I are going to respectfully disagree on some of his late game management when it comes to uses
04:46of timeouts.
04:46Look, I get what he's saying about, hey, I don't want to be burning timeouts early.
04:51I want to make sure I have some at my disposal.
04:53That's great.
04:54But the whole point of saving your timeouts is to be able to use them in critical situations.
04:59And he failed to do that last night, even with 18 seconds.
05:02How do you not call a timeout and move the ball to the front court there?
05:07I just, again, it's a little thing, but it's not a little thing.
05:11And you had a two-point lead with less than 30 seconds to play as well.
05:18I just, yeah, that was coaching malpractice last night.
05:23That was the superstars making a ton of money running and hiding in the hills last night.
05:32Inexcusable.
05:33And the positive, I'm going to go positive for a second.
05:37They did build a 22-point lead on the road.
05:39They did show me that the New York Knicks are not invincible.
05:43But the issue for me is that that was a bad night for the Knicks, okay?
05:47They did not shoot the basketball particularly well at all last night.
05:51That was a bad night for the New York Knicks.
05:54And the Cavaliers just gave that game away.
05:58And again, my fear is that's going to bite them in the backside later this series.

06:08You called the team pathetic, inexcusable, and you're ashamed.

06:36Okay, so do you think the series is over, then, based on what you said last night?
06:39No, I don't think it's over, but that could be potentially difficult to recover from.
06:44And I said last night, we thought the same thing after Game 6 against the Pistons, right?
06:49They laid the egg at home, going back to Detroit for Game 7.
06:52And then, you know, they did go out and handle their business in Game 7.
06:56And that's, for me, that's what's so frustrating about this team and why I get so angry when
07:02it comes to this Cavalier team, is because I know what their potential is, I see the talent
07:08that they have, and they're not on a consistent basis playing to it.
07:13And that, it just, it drives me absolutely crazy.
07:17They're good enough to go up 22 points on the Knicks on the road at Madison Square Garden
07:21Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals, but they're not good enough to seal the deal.
07:26It just, it does not make sense to me at all.
07:30I wish I had a better explanation for a Cavalier fan today about that, why that is.
07:34But this postseason really has been the rollercoaster, right?
07:38The highs have been really high, and the lows have been really, really low.
07:42And last night was a really, really big low.

07:48Todd Munkin today saying he still hasn't met Miles Garrett in person.
07:52I mean, Miles isn't required to be around, so I'm going to say no deal right now.

08:18Now, the thing that did catch my attention today, though, Nick, was how he answered the

08:49I'm more interested in the meeting he's going to be having with Deion Sanders than the one
08:53he's going to have with Miles Garrett.
08:55Which quarterback looked better today on that note?
08:59I'd probably say, I'd probably give the edge marginally because this was not a quarterback

09:06This was a lot of run-in stall.
09:08This was not a, the quarterbacks erring it out and showcasing their talents.
09:12I'd probably say DeSean, but marginal, okay?
09:17Yeah, I mean, for me, there's no leader in the clubhouse.
09:20The order, now, I know Munkin said afterwards he fell, he gave, you know, Shadour got some
09:27one reps in front of DeSean there.
09:29But my order is DeSean, Shadour, Dillon, and then Green.
09:35Green, yeah.
09:36So that's my quarterback order right now.
09:41And, again, this was not a practice in which it was designed for the quarterbacks to showcase
09:49their arm talent.
09:50That just was not how that was structured today.
09:53And I want to make it clear, that's how the practice was structured and not a byproduct
09:58of the quarterbacks not performing.
10:00I want to be clear about that.
10:02Daryl, are the Browns soft-launching DeSean Watson now?
10:06Yeah, I think they've been soft-launching DeSean since, what was it, February when that first
10:11came out?
10:12That, you know, the team was seriously considering him as the starting quarterback.
10:19So I think they've been in this soft-launch mode, Nick, for a couple of months now.

10:25All right, anyone else impress you in any sort of big way?
10:29Devin Boston made the catch of the day.
10:32That was an incredible catch in the end zone there.
10:35Munkin was really fired up about that.
10:37I did get a kick out of watching Munkin coach today.
10:40He's very hands-on, in-between plays, coaching players up, telling him what he expects and
10:46what he's looking for on individual plays.
10:50You know, does it different than Kevin Stefanski, and I expect that.
10:53Like, every coach does it differently.
10:55We've seen a bunch of these guys roll through there, and he does it a little different.
11:00So that was really fun to watch.
11:02I also laughed when Munkin was really beside himself at the interceptions during 7-on-7
11:09when he talked about how embarrassing that is with no pass rush.
11:13So I got a good chuckle out of that comment.
