00:10O Lord, open our lips, and our mouths shall sing your praise.
00:17O God, make speed to save us. O Lord, make haste to help us.
00:26Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning,
00:32is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
00:40Let us praise the Lord. The Lord's name be praised.
00:49I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible.
00:59I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages.
01:09God from God, light from light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, being of one substance with the
01:19Father.
01:20Through him all things were made.
01:23For us men, and for our salvation, he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit, was incarnate of
01:31the Virgin Mary, and became man.
01:35For our sake, he was crucified under Pontius Pilate.
01:39He suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures.
01:46He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father.
01:52He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.
01:59I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father,
02:06who with the Father and the Son, is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets.
02:14I believe in one holy, Catholic and apostolic Church.
02:18I confess one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,
02:23and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come.
02:30Amen.
02:33The Lord be with you, and also with you.
02:39Let us pray.
02:42Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:45Christ, have mercy upon us.
02:48Lord, have mercy upon us.
02:53Our Father in heaven, holy is your name.
02:58Your kingdom come.
03:00Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
03:05Give us today our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
03:16Do not allow us to fall into temptation, but deliver us from every evil.
03:23Amen.
03:27O Lord, have mercy upon us, and grant us your salvation.
03:35Bless your ministers with righteousness, and make your chosen people joyful.
03:44O Lord, save your people, and bless your inheritance.
03:51Give peace in our time, O Lord, because there is none other that fights for it, but only you, O
03:59God.
04:01O God, make clean our hearts within us.
04:06Do not take your Holy Spirit from us.
04:15The first book of kings, chapter 18.
04:20Sometime later, in the third year of the famine, the Lord told Elijah,
04:25Go, make an appearance before Ahab, that I may send rain on the surface of the ground.
04:34So Elijah went to make an appearance before Ahab.
04:39Now the famine was severe in Samaria, so Ahab summoned Obadiah, who supervised the palace.
04:48Now Obadiah was a very loyal follower of the Lord.
04:52And while Jezebel was killing the Lord's prophets, Obadiah took 100 prophets,
04:57and hid them in two caves, in two groups of 50.
05:00And he brought them food and water.
05:06Ahab told Obadiah, Go through all the land to the springs and the valleys.
05:11Maybe we can find some grazing areas, that we may keep the horses and mules alive,
05:17and not to have to kill some of the animals.
05:22They divided up the land between them.
05:24Ahab went one way, and Obadiah went the other.
05:30As Obadiah was travelling along, Elijah met him.
05:34And when he recognised him, he fell face down on the ground, and said,
05:39Is it really you, my master, Elijah?
05:44He replied, Yes.
05:46Go, tell your master, Elijah is back.
05:51Obadiah said, But what sin have I committed, that you are ready to hand your servant over to Ahab for
05:58execution?
06:01As certainly as the Lord your God lives, my master has sent you every nation and kingdom in an effort
06:06to find you.
06:12When they say, He is not here, he makes them swear an oath that they could not find you.
06:18And now you say, Go and say to your master, Elijah is back.
06:22But when I leave you, the Lord's Spirit will carry you away, so I will not be able to find
06:27you.
06:30If I go and tell Ahab I have seen you, he won't be able to find you, and he will
06:34kill me.
06:36And that would not be fair, because your servant has been a loyal follower of the Lord since my youth.
06:43Certainly my master is aware of what I did when Jezebel was killing the Lord's prophets.
06:50I hid one hundred of the Lord's prophets in two caves, in two groups of fifty, and I took them
06:56food and water.
06:58Now you say, Go, tell your master, Elijah is back.
07:03But he will kill me.
07:07But Elijah said, As certainly as the Lord who rules over all lives, whom I serve, I will make an
07:15appearance before him today.
07:19This is the word of the Lord.
07:22Thanks be to God.
08:00Bye.
08:01Bye.
08:07Bye.
08:12Bye.
08:13And I adore the Father, the name of the Lord.
08:20The Lord, my peace is deep in the air of my soul.
08:31Gracious is the Lord and the righteous.
08:37Yea, our God is merciful.
08:42The Lord, my peace is deep in the air of my soul.
08:49I was in need of me, and he held me.
08:57Turn again then unto my rest, O my soul.
09:04For the Lord hath been called in me.
09:10And why, thou hast delivered my soul from death.
09:19My eyes can't eat at my feet from falling.
09:26I will walk before my Lord in the land of the name.
09:36I believe that therefore will I speak, but I was so proud.
09:45I will walk before my heart.
09:48I will walk before my heart.
09:56I will walk before my heart.
10:15And come of salvation.
10:19I will walk before my heart.
10:25I will walk before my heart.
10:30I will walk before my heart.
10:35I will walk before my heart.

16:02Oh, in the name of the Lord, I will be with you all.
16:09Thou hast just thought as me that I might fall,
16:16but the Lord was my heir.
16:21The Lord is my strength and my soul,
16:26and is before my salvation.
16:32The voice of joy and heaven is in the dwellings of the righteous.
16:40The right hand of the Lord, bringeth mighty things to God.

16:58I shall not die that weep, and declare our hearts of the Lord.
17:08The Lord hath chastened and corrected me,
17:15but he hath not given me over unto them.
17:22Open me the gates of righteousness,
17:27that I will open to them and give thanks unto the Lord.
17:35This is the gate of the Lord,
17:40The right hand of the Lord, bringeth mighty things to God.

20:18The Gospel according to St John, Chapter 8
20:24Then Jesus said to those Judeans who had believed him,
20:28If you continue to follow my teaching, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the
20:34truth will set you free.
20:49CHOIR SINGS
21:23As far as you are concerned, practice the things you have heard from the Father.
21:31They answered, Abraham is our father.
22:03Jesus replied,
22:05Jesus replied,
22:10If God were your father, you would love me, for I have come from God and am now here.
22:19I have not come on my own initiative, but he has sent me.
22:25Why don't you understand what I am saying?
22:28It is because you cannot accept my teaching.
22:33You people are from your father the devil, and you want to do what your father desires.
22:39He was a murderer from the very beginning and does not uphold the truth, because there is no truth in
22:46him.
22:47Whenever he lies, he speaks according to his own nature, because he is a liar and the father of lies.
22:56But because I am telling you the truth, you do not believe me.
23:00Who among you can prove me guilty of any sin?
23:04If I am telling you the truth, why don't you believe me?
23:09The one who belongs to God listens and responds to God's words.
23:15You don't listen and respond, because you don't belong to God.
23:22The Judeans replied,
23:25Would me not be correct in saying that you are a Samaritan, are possessed by a demon?
23:33Jesus answered,
23:34I am not possessed by a demon,
23:37but I honour my father, and yet you dishonour me.
23:42I am not trying to find praise for myself.
23:45There is one who demands it, and he also judges.
23:50I tell you the solemn truth,
23:52if anyone obeys my teaching,
23:54he will never see death.
23:58Then the Judeans responded,
24:01Now we know you are possessed by a demon.
24:04For both Abraham and the prophets died,
24:07and let you say,
24:09If anyone obeys my teaching,
24:11he will never experience death.
24:15You aren't greater than our father Abraham who died, are you?
24:19And the prophets who died, too.
24:22Who do you claim to be?
24:26If I glorify myself, my glory is worthless, Jesus replied.
24:31The one who glorifies me is my father, about whom you say,
24:35He is our God.
24:37And yet, you do not know him, but I know him.
24:41If I were to say that I do not know him,
24:44I would be a liar like you.
24:47But I do know him, and I obey his teaching.
24:52Your father Abraham was overjoyed to see my day,
24:55and he saw it and was glad.
25:02Then the Judeans replied,
25:04But you are not yet fifty years old.
25:07How can you possibly have seen Abraham?
25:12Jesus said to them,
25:14I tell you the solemn truth.
25:16Before Abraham came into existence,
25:19I am.
25:22Then they picked up stones to throw at him.
25:25But Jesus hid himself from them,
25:28and went out from the temple area.
25:32This is the word of the Lord.
25:35Thanks be to God.
25:42Collect for Peace
25:45O God, who is the author of peace,
25:47and lover of concord,
25:49in knowledge of whom stands our eternal life,
25:53whose service is perfect freedom.
25:56Defend us, your humble servants,
25:58in all assaults of our enemies,
26:01that we, surely trusting in your defence,
26:05may not fear the power of any adversaries.
26:08Through the might of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
26:12Amen.
26:16Collect for our safe preservation.
26:20O Lord, our Heavenly Father,
26:22almighty and everlasting God,
26:24who has safely brought us to the beginning of this day,
26:28defend us in the same with your mighty power,
26:31and grant that this day we fall into no sin,
26:36neither run into any kind of danger,
26:39but that all our doings may be ordered
26:41by your governance to do always that which is righteous in your sight.
26:49Through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
26:52Amen.
26:56Lord, let me accept calmly all that this day might bring me,
27:01and let me devote myself completely to your sacred will.
27:07Direct me and help me each hour of this day.
27:11Control my thoughts and feelings in all my deeds and words.
27:16When unpredictable circumstances arise,
27:19do not let me forget that everything comes from you.
27:24Lord Jesus, Son of God,
27:27it is better not to live than to live without you.
27:31I thank you, God, for the gift of this new day
27:34and for all the good deeds you will help me do today.
27:40Holy Spirit, help me to dedicate this day
27:44to my Lord and Saviour.
27:47Teach me to be just toward my brother and sister,
27:51never to provoke wrath or cause sorrow.
27:55Control my will and teach me to pray,
27:58to believe, to hope, to suffer,
28:02to forgive and to love.
28:05Amen.
28:10We pray for the work of your faithful servants
28:13throughout the world, Lord.
28:16Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer.
28:22May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ,
28:25the love of God,
28:27and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
28:29be with us all today and forevermore.
