02:49Jumping into various tidbits and news throughout the day, it's one of those days.
02:52WWE has a report out right now that they are looking to sign tag teams, so desperate to
02:58sign tag teams that they're even talking to a controversial former superstar.
03:02Now, let's be honest.
03:04You're looking to bolster your tag team division after you just terminated the contracts of
03:10the New Day, the Motor City Machine Guns, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa.
03:17Are we serious right now?
03:19You just dropped three tag teams and now suddenly you're looking to go sign new tag teams for
03:23your tag team division?
03:25What a joke.
03:26Now, that's not even the part that blows my mind about the report.
03:29I guess it kind of blows my mind also.
03:30What really kills me is one of the names that WWE has been in touch with is Enzo Amore, released
03:38superstar from 2018, went back when he was the Cruiserweight Champion.
03:42He was accused of some pretty serious, heinous stuff, didn't tell the company that, claims
03:46he didn't even know about these charges until the news broke, and they terminated him.
03:51He came back at Survivor Series in November 2018, kind of made a little bit of a stir in
03:58the crowd, trying to get maybe some TV time.
04:01He was a tag team with Big Cass, who coincidentally was being reported back in April by Fightful
04:07Select that Big Cass, or now goes by the name Big Bill in AEW, that his contract is set to
04:13expire in June.
04:14So if you're able to bring back Big Cass and Enzo, they were over like you wouldn't believe
04:20years ago.
04:20Would they still be able to get over in WWE?
04:23I actually believe they could.
04:25Look, Big Cass looks great now.
04:27He's jacked now.
04:28He's got himself under control now.
04:30He had some concerns, some personal choice issues that he was dealing with, and he's
04:35taken care of all that stuff, and he's been a great roster member for AEW.
04:38Enzo has been touring the indie scene as Real One.
04:42He's done quite a bit of things since leaving WWE.
04:45They did have a controversial appearance at Ring of Honor prior to Tony Khan taking over
04:48the company, things like that.
04:50But I think WWE fans would love to see them come back, and there's a little element of
04:54nostalgia for them.
04:57The accusations that were levied against Amore were basically unfounded, or at least the case
05:02was completely dismissed.
05:05So I don't see any kind of PR issue bringing him in.
05:10So I'm thrilled, actually, in a weird way.
05:12I'm thrilled that they would bring him back.
05:13I'm just kind of surprised.
05:14You had all these tag teams, and you got rid of them.
05:17Now look, if it was one of these things where Tonga Loa, JC Mateo, and the Motor City Machine
05:22Guns were making tens of millions of dollars combined, I get it.
05:26You shed that salary.
05:27But then you offer to bring them back at a reduced salary if they don't do it.
05:30And I actually understand.
05:31I really do, because it's not like they were bringing a lot to the table.
05:35But when you're going to bolster the division anyways, you got to do something.
05:39And these are proven commodities.
05:40I don't know why you got rid of them to begin with.
05:42New Day.
05:42The New Day, I'm sure, were commanding a much higher salary.
05:44And they should.
05:46Legendary tag team, legendary individuals in their own right.
05:50You know, Kofi Mania, Kings of the Ring, and stuff like that.
05:53They probably do want more money.
05:54And now they'll go to Tony Khan, and they'll get it.
05:57Maybe someday they come back.
05:58But now you're out there searching for tag teams, and you're so desperate you're going to bring back Enzo and
06:02Cass.
06:03I don't know.
06:04It just has a strange vibe to me.
06:06But you never know.
06:07With WWE, they say never say never.
06:09I guess it's never more obvious than something like this.
06:12There is a report about Jade Cargill and in the backstage locker room area about whether or not she still
06:19has ongoing heat.
06:21WrestleVotes put out a conversation during the Q&A.
06:24And there was a conversation.
06:25Basically, the statement was, as far as the reputation in the locker room, the person who was being interviewed for
06:32this said that I've heard from a couple of different sources that there's heat there.
06:38Not everyone's favorite talent.
06:40She's still a star.
06:40WWE clearly views her as a star.
06:43They're protecting her and not throwing her into situations where she can't succeed.
06:47But we've heard that some talent may not.
06:50Sean Ross Sapp also had a conversation about it through Fightful Select, saying, as far as I know, they do.
06:56She's been much better as of late in terms of whether or not she has heat.
07:02WrestleVotes throwing out more, saying, months ago there was some heat on her.
07:05There were some stern conversations with people in power, but they're happy where she has progressed to.
07:09So, yeah, she's progressing well, and they see her as a star.
07:12So I don't think Jade's going anywhere anytime soon.
07:15I don't know that I see her as as big a star as they probably do.
07:17I think her in-ring work has not gotten markedly better.
07:21She's still very basic, you know, and still, unfortunately, a little tight and snug with some things.
07:27But at the end of the day, she looks like a million bucks.
07:30She's box office.
07:31I don't know how committed to wrestling she is and how long she wants to be doing this for.
07:35There were rumors when she first went to WWE that this was like a stepping stone to Hollywood or something
07:40bigger.
07:40I don't know.
07:41We'll have to wait and see.
07:41But if she is getting it down and if they are happy with her performance and if the backstage heat
07:46is slowly dissipating, then more power to her.
07:49You know, give these ladies an opportunity to showcase what they could do and shine.
07:53And she has done a lot better lately.
07:55I think I'm not saying her ring in-ring work is like wowing me.
07:59She's not a five-star match kind of caliber wrestler.
08:01But the match with Rhea Ripley at Mania was pretty solid.
08:05It really was.
08:05So, I don't know.
08:06We'll have to wait and see how things play out going forward.
08:08There is conversation about Ronda Rousey again.
08:11The numbers are out.
08:12According to Netflix, the Ronda Rousey-Gina Carano mixed martial arts fight for MVP promotions drew 7 million global viewers
08:21who tuned in to watch the entirety of the show with 12.4 million viewers coming in and watching the
08:28triple main event portion of the show.
08:30This was huge.
08:32MMA 1 for MVP took place on Saturday the 16th.
08:35The headline by that huge match between Rousey and Carano that lasted 17 seconds.
08:40And again, not trying to beat a dead horse, but we talked about this on a previous episode.
08:45That 17 seconds is what a lot of people expected.
08:48Heck, CM Punk predicted that kind of a finish.
08:50She is a legendary fighter.
08:53A deadly fighter.
08:54And her arm bar is wicked.
08:55It always has been.
08:56I don't know why people are surprised by that.
08:58But kudos to Netflix.
09:00I know TKO had, you know, Mark Shapiro out saying that it was bad for business.
09:05I don't see how.
09:06When you're drawing 12.4 million people, it doesn't matter it was 17 seconds.
09:10People loved it.
09:12They loved every second of it.
09:13And the really interesting thing about it is that the overrun after the fight didn't dip off that much in
09:20viewership, which means people watch the 17 seconds.
09:22And then they watch to see the interviews and things like that.
09:25So kudos to MVP.
09:27They did a great job with this, you know, and hopefully we'll see more fights in the near future.
09:31One last thing.
09:32Marty Jannetty was in the news earlier last week.
09:35They were talking.
09:35There was a report online from Eddie Mansfield, who was a friend of Marty Jannetty's, who claimed that he underwent
09:42a foot amputation.
09:44There is a photo that's been going around the Internet with a picture of, like, Marty Jannetty sitting in a
09:48wheelchair with his foot clearly amputated.
09:52There has been an official statement released by his family.
09:55And I'll just read this statement because I don't want to get anything wrong.
09:59I want to be very respectful.
10:01Marty Jannetty, I've actually met him one time.
10:02He was super, super personable, very polite and friendly to me.
10:06So I feel like out of respect for someone who, in my opinion, was so much better than people ever
10:11give him credit for.
10:12I think he was almost as good as Shawn Michaels and could have been so much bigger had he been
10:15able to keep his demons under control.
10:18Out of respect, I want to make sure I read this word for word.
10:30It says,
10:51It was taken by his wife to document his medical journey.
10:55The procedure was performed on April 1st, 2026, by Dr. Leland McCluskey, who successfully removed all infected bone.
11:03The surgery went as expected, and Marty is now focusing on recovery, pain management, and long-term healing.
11:08We respectfully request privacy during this time as Marty continues his rehabilitation.
11:13An additional, more detailed update will be provided when the family is ready.
11:16We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out.
11:19With genuine concern, compassion, and support, your kindness has been felt and deeply appreciated.
11:24If you find their post on social media, there is actually a link there as well.
11:29Supporters who wish to help honor Marty's legacy can sign the ongoing petition.
11:33And I guess I haven't clicked on it, so I don't know what exactly it is that they're looking to
11:36do with that petition.
11:37But difficult to hear that some of these legends go through some of these health situations.
11:42We know Buff Bagwell last year had an amputation.
11:45Marty's been dealing with ankle problems for so, so, so, so long, and it's tough to see.
11:49You know, the one time I did see him was at a convention.
11:52He was not looking like he was in great shape.
11:54And it just broke my heart because, look, I loved the Rockers when they were out.
11:58Of course, I was a Shawn Michaels fanatic, but I was also a huge Marty fan.
12:02And he, in a lot of ways, is the reason the Rockers were able to be as successful as they
12:06were.
12:07So, well wishes to Marty Gennetti.
12:09You know, I know it's a difficult time trying to get used to something like this.
12:12But I'm hoping that he will now be, you know, get back to comfort, satisfaction, better quality of life.
12:19And who knows, if Buff Bagwell could work towards getting back in the ring, maybe Marty can too.
12:23We'll have to wait and see.
12:24Heck, Kerry Von Erich was amputated below the knee as well, and he was able to wrestle for a decade
12:29or more after that.
12:31And you really couldn't tell.
12:32So, I don't know.
12:33We'll have to wait and see.
12:34I wish nothing but the best for Marty Gennetti, and I hope he's able to come back stronger than ever.
12:40That's all the time we have for this episode.
