Tobago police say eyewitness information has led to the extensive search of the Studley Park Landfill, for missing two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza.

Elizabeth Williams has been following this development and is reporting that four more persons have been detained as investigations continue.

00:00As investigations into missing baby Angelo Tobias Plaza enter day 7 on Monday, comes word from Superintendent of Police Ruddell
00:11Kirk that police received certain information that led them to the Studley Park landfill where searches have been conducted.
00:19Confirmation tonight that four more people were detained by police for questioning on Sunday night in Goodwood, Tobago, in connection
00:28with the disappearance of the two-year-old.
00:31And an eyewitness is telling police that a relative of two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza was driven to the
00:39Studley Park landfill where he dumped a black plastic bag shortly before midnight on Mother's Day.
00:45Senior Superintendent of Police Ruddell Kirk confirmed to TV6 News officers received information that led them to the Studley Park
00:54landfill.
00:55We spend an effort in directing our resources to the search. So every information, every bit and pieces of information
01:03that we have, we pursue it. The information is that there may be some thing to examine at this location.
01:15So we are doing that. We are being thorough with this investigation as I pointed out on the first day.
01:23Officer Kirk said the search for missing baby Angelo would continue until closure in the matter.
01:29As long as we have the strength, we will continue to search to bring closure to the family and to
01:36the island of Tobago.
01:38Yes. And you know, in terms of the search, second the day at the Studley Park landfill, it was because
01:45of information received to police.
01:49Exactly. And that is what we work on. I mean, it's an active investigation and every bit of information that
01:56we have, we will pursue.
01:58Hunter search and rescue teams are on the ground in Tobago in search of the missing two-year-old.
02:21The communications unit of the TTPS has confirmed to TV6 News that a cadaver dog or human remains detection dog
02:30is being used in searches for the two-year-old infant.
02:33This dog is trained to detect the unique scent of human decomposition.
02:39Senior Superintendent of Police, Radel Kirk, has this message to the nation.
02:45I want to tell the nation that let us pay more attention to our vulnerable children.
02:51You know, it's saddened. I can see the reaction that we have from throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
02:58And, you know, we need to pay more attention to our vulnerable youth.
03:04So, you know, a village, it takes a village to raise a child and we need to adopt that concept
03:09or to go back to that concept that all of us look out for one another.
