00:07Okay, come in. We live in downtown Newark with our two dogs, Chip and Charlie, and we pay $3,600
00:14in rent.
00:15I think that's a sweet deal. How about you? I think so too. We live in a two-bedroom,
00:22two-bathroom apartment. We have a steam room, sauna, gym, and a game room. The best thing about
00:28living in Jersey is that you get more space and they're able to fit a washer and dryer in a
00:35unit.
00:36And added bonus, we also store things to the side of it. Any little knicks and knacks.
00:43And this is our guest room. It also serves as an office. What I don't like about the guest room
00:49is the headboard. That was something that my husband picked out. Not a fan of it,
00:55but it can do for now. We have a television in every single room, but no one ever comes in
01:01here.
01:02I have the TV all to myself in this room and I don't have to hear my husband in the
01:06living room.
01:07Another really cool thing is that our guests have their own bathroom. We stocked it up with some
01:13great products. We're obsessed with ASO. We have not had any guests stayed in here yet.
01:18We've only been living here for about like eight months, so I'm sure soon enough.
01:27This is our kitchen.
01:30My favorite thing about this space is pretty much that it's open. It's all glass. I really love
01:35just watching the seasons. Having an all-glass apartment, you can be a voyeur. And I love to
01:40share the kitchen, making a meal with my wife.
01:42We used to live down the block in a loft. It didn't have much light, which was an issue
01:48for me. We decided to come check it out and be nosy. And that's how we, you know, ended
01:55up putting an application for this place. My husband, when we moved into the space, he
01:59wanted a different table. And I was just more like, no, like, I love this table that we have
02:06here. And we made it work and it looks great.
02:09In this place, it just seemed like the table would overpower the space, a little bit too
02:13rustic, a little bit too large. But my wife was right. It worked out.
02:17And I wouldn't change it. Good world.
02:19This is the living room.
02:20Our home style is very minimalist. Our parents are from the Caribbean, so they're heavy on
02:25putting stuff everywhere. So when we come home, we just want to have that serene, peaceful
02:29vibe. We travel a lot and we sit at these luxury hotels, so we just wanted to bring that feeling
02:34from our travels home. Everything is inside the credenza. The speakers are hidden.
02:39You'll hear the sound, but you won't see the sound.
02:41Sometimes it's a little too loud.
02:43Our splurge is this leather couch. We do have two dogs. And when you have fabric, just
02:50in the case, one of them makes like an accident, but it hasn't happened yet. We got this couch
02:55from West Elm. It was $3,000, was it? Around that price. But I just feel like all couches are
03:03pretty expensive. And, you know, everyone's going to splurge on a couch.
03:09He's literally like French kissing me over here.
03:11We've started a new company called Haunter Hue, and it is an e-design, interior design company.
03:18Based on your style, we'll be able to source materials and products and being able to finish
03:23your space online and get you deliverable within two weeks.
03:26And this is our bedroom. It's definitely helpful having a master bathroom. Sometimes he'll just
03:34take the guest bathroom, and I'll take over the master bathroom.
03:37Two bathrooms pretty much save marriages. While she's getting ready, I can get ready at the same time.
03:42We get to places much faster. This is my closet, my AKA girl cave. I get ready in here in
03:49the morning
03:50without like waking my husband up. It's like my little dressing room.
03:54This is my closet, of course. I'm in the hallway. I'm not in the master bedroom. She has a larger
03:58of the two, just where I get fresh. Typically, I'll just take my stuff and go to the guest bedroom.
04:03We met, well, my best friend and her best friend are siblings.
04:08So we met at a barbecue at their other sister's house.
04:12First impressions, I thought she was really cute. You know, just wanted to see where her head was at,
04:16you know, see if we were compatible.
04:17I had recently like got out of a relationship, so first the impression was like, oh, he's nice.
04:23Like, I wasn't really looking for a boyfriend or anything. And then I got this weird number,
04:29like calling my phone, and I was like, who is this?
04:35And I found out it was you.
04:37We dated for a year and a half. Now we're three years married.
04:43We would like people to walk away from our home feeling calm and cool. You know, when you come into
04:49space,
04:50you don't feel overwhelmed. Mainly, we just want people to feel accommodated, like welcomed,
04:55well-rested, and enjoy their time with us.
