00:11Jimmy wanted us to take control of our football team.
00:15He wanted us to instill all the things on what we were about to become a champion.
00:20Did you see that growth with your football team coming off that national championship game?
00:26I did, and I still see more of it.
00:28You know, I remember after, you know, you guys won it.
00:32I remember Coach Johnson lining us up on the goal line saying,
00:34you sons of bitches haven't won anything.
00:37And so we're going to run until we get.

00:59Again, one of the things that he was just saying was, without a doubt,
01:03was the fact that when we set the tone,
01:08we set the tone, without a doubt, with our camp.
01:13And it was Jimmy who set the tone for our camp.
01:17It was Jimmy who made sure that all the players knew exactly what we needed to accomplish when it came
01:26to us moving forward.
01:27We had just lost the national championship game in 1986.
01:32We came back the following year, and we would go on and win the national title.
01:38I mean, make no mistake.

02:07I think we all understand that just because we played in that game doesn't mean that we automatically get there

02:17And that's all we've been doing, keep our mouths shut, going to work, being really physical, being really intentional about
02:23everything we do.
02:24And we just want to get better every single day and just keep the outside on the outside, man.
