00:17right in pirates and arizona diamondbacks wow can we get a couple of runs in a baseball game today
00:23i don't know we didn't yesterday between these two teams and the pitchers are pretty good again
00:28today so interesting for me to see a nine total here on the board mitch keller zach gallin pirates
00:34and diamondbacks jared today do you have any opinion on this matchup i would probably lean towards the
00:42under here like you said no it's not a superstar pitching matchup but you look at zach gallin
00:47he's kind of shown some flashes of being the guy we remember him being you know we've kind of seen
00:53mitch keller's been pretty solid too uh but i'm looking at again this is kind of a classic getaway
00:58day type scenario you get that you know 3 30 3 40 p.m start two solid pitchers i know

01:04kind of a little bit of like all or nothing with the offense there uh i'm again it's a high

01:10i'm gonna go under with it there i just i don't think you're gonna see i think you see a

01:32so two young guys on the mound today the phillies have been red hot but the issue here you may

01:38why are the phillies only minus 126 or minus 130 well andrew painter his starts have been a little
01:44uneven jared he's walked a bunch he's given up some runs he's got some swing and miss but a little
01:49bit
01:49of a toss-up game today which i guess is a surprise because of the odds but naturally speaking when

01:54don't know what either pitcher is going to deliver how can you make a big favorite here total of nine
01:59a's and phillies today do you like any side here yeah craig i mean if i was to take a
02:05lean here i
02:06would probably look at the a's money line actually take the plus money there again considering the
02:10struggles that andrew painter has had but the pick i really like is i'm looking at a player
02:14problem looking at the athletics tyler sodderstrom two plus hits runs in rbis and get that at minus
02:19125 he's cautious in 11 of 17 gains but what i really like here is i love the pitching matchup
02:25or the matchup with him against andrew painter sodderstrom is a lefty he hits the ball hard
02:30and he's really doing damage against fastballs and breaking balls when he faces righties
02:34off-speed is kind of the thing he struggles with but you look at painter when he faces a left
02:38-handed
02:38batter he does not throw the off-speed stuff at all he throws about 16 of the time
02:42so 84 of his pitches are fastballs and breaking balls and his fastball is getting crushed over
02:47330 average by lefties against them so again he's struggling overall he's really struggling against
02:52lefties and i just think that kind of the pitch pitch mix and what sodderstrom who's hot is facing
02:56i like sodderstrom to do a little bit of damage today okay two hot teams the red sox have won

03:01in a row tampa bay's won six in a row but they're playing this game in boston today and young

03:07jake bennett is on the mound they called him up and he's been pretty good for them total of eight

03:12half he'll go up against griffin jacks we know this is going to be a heavy bullpen game for tampa

03:18hard to look to anybody except tampa bay right now jared they've been great yeah they've won 11 of 12
03:23greg they're they're on fire uh but it's really it's not the offense it's doing it's the defense and
03:28the run prevention they give them just 17 runs in those 12 games um you know but they're still
03:32sitting in top 10 and average uh during that stand they're not really striking out i'm leaning towards
03:37the race here a i'll take you know the extra price and almost the even money and you mentioned
03:42that jake bennett's pitching well and he did he had a great uh debut five one run and five innings
03:47against houston but you look at the underlying metric there a lot of hard contact he actually
03:51had an expected era of 10.26 from that game uh just kind of based on the quality of the
03:56contact
03:56that he gave up looking into a race team that puts the ball in play they don't strike out they

04:01give up many runs i doubt he gets as lucky again today i just think again this is the one

04:06three runs for tampa could definitely win it the way they're pitching the way the boss is not really
04:10hitting so i'm gonna go with the race low scoring one there but take them at minus 102 later tonight
04:16the cardinals will take on the padres padres big favorite tonight jared they got michael king on
04:20the mound against matthew libertor of the cardinals the total is eight and certainly the padres are
04:26playing good baseball yeah i'm i'm looking here for uh quick and dirty one no run first inning let's
04:35go a little scoreless in the frame so late games you don't want to stay all the way up there

04:39watch the end of it let's get out in the first there you look at the padres michael king he
04:42has
04:42yet to give up a run in the first inning this season he hasn't even allowed a hit yet through
04:47seven first frames so i think he's going to he's really starting game strong and you're going to
04:51see that continue his counterpart matthew libertori not quite as clean in the first innings but you look
04:56at the padres they are the worst offensive team in baseball in the first innings they hit a league
05:01worst 134 with just seven runs scored you know there's not much wind the temperature is going
05:07to be in the low 60s i don't see a lot of offense coming in the first inning there so
05:10let's just go
05:10with a nice quiet and tidy no run in the first inning
