00:04When it comes to my equipment, it's one of my biggest obsessions for many
00:08years now is I'm really excited and obsessed with working on my own boards
00:12and being able to fine-tune tiny little changes.
00:16What's up, Sparrow?
00:18I'm very lucky that my shaper is one of my best friends.
00:23What's up?
00:24Can I pick up your board?
00:25Thank you, as always.
00:27In the last year, my boards now are being changed per location.
00:32Now I'm surfing the same model board everywhere I go, but for every different location, I
00:37surf the boards with different weights, I surf the boards with different thicknesses,
00:42different widths.
00:43Once you think you've figured out the perfect board, then you start traveling and you realize
00:47that everywhere asks for different equipment, and every day also asks for different equipment.
00:52So now when I show up to every swell, I always show up with at least two boards specifically
00:57for that spot.
00:58When I go there and I find something that really works well, I leave that board there and I
01:02go home, and then I make the tiny little changes, I think I can make the board better.
01:06And then the next time I go, I'll leave the next better model there.
01:09The lines that I'm able to draw on this board are so different than the lines I'm able to
01:12draw on the narrow tail.
01:14Yeah.
01:15That like...
01:15I think that little extra tail width that we gave you.
01:17Like, I can really hold a more lateral line on the wider tail.
01:21Less teeter and totter.
01:22With one board in preparation for Todos Santos, Trevor takes his newest model to Peaje with
01:28another on standby for Mavericks.
