00:09The Forest School philosophy is it's child-led, it's child-initiated. We are
00:15the facilitators. The grown-ups are the facilitators. Nature provides the setting
00:19and the inspiration. We, if they're interested, we can walk through the forest a little bit.
00:27One thing I really learned through Forest School was about the land and how it provides us with
00:35everything we ever needed. We found that this log has been decomposed to such a high level that
00:44there's no, can you see here Aria, that if I put my hand through here, my fingers come up on
00:52this side.
00:53So there's almost no wood left in this log, only moss and fungi.
01:00My hand comes out from that side too.
01:02Yeah, you also saw your finger there on the other side?
01:05Look for Troy.
01:06And there's another tunnel that you found.
01:09Our first day was really interesting. We didn't know really what to expect and everyone was excited.
01:17And I look at my son who is six and my daughter who's three and both. My son is through
01:22Forest School and my
01:23daughter's in it now. And they're very different children. My son loves the outdoors, loves adventure,
01:30loves climbing trees and getting dirty and getting his hands into everything. Whereas my daughter, you know,
01:36takes a little bit longer to warm up to the outdoors. Sometimes they come home and they're wet from head
01:43to toe. Or covered in charcoal. Yes, covered in charcoal. We come home and her hair is full of grass
01:50and pine needles and pine cones. And she's like, well, that's it, Mum. That's what happens when you go to
01:58Forest School, she says, right?
