00:00all right guys we're gonna be going to the second game I was trying to switch
00:05it over to the second game but unfortunately it wasn't able to do that
00:09so this is kind of part two of our part four this is like this the second part
00:15of part four of this is game two of part four basically so I would like to
00:24welcome all the people that come back watch seeing game two this will be a
00:28second this will be a second upload so I'm gonna talk about game two now I
00:34haven't done the notation for this one but this is a game I won and this one um
00:40it's much more tactical okay this is also a ten minute game now the important
00:46thing about this game is we have to see the move orders and why what works with
00:52what and we need also need to see the king positioning and also tactical
00:57opportunities okay so the game started out and I'm gonna put the engine up in a
01:03second here so we start off with um actually I was playing black so let's
01:07flip the board so I play d5 he plays e5 now this problem with e5 now is it kind of
01:17wastes a move because you see black black now can play two things he can play bishop f5
01:25being up a little bit up in development just because he wasted a move or he can play c5
01:29personally I like c5 each has their pluses and minuses the minuses is that he has does have the bishop
01:36e5 check okay
01:40so let's get the let's get the engine out see what the engine thinks now this is very
01:46theoretical because it is so what he would do here is actually better as you play c3 and d4
01:52but um the thing about c3 is we can play d4 to stop it ourself and then play knight c6
01:59behind it queen c7 or e6 queen c7 get the knight on etc so he plays d4 which I think
02:07is a little
02:08premature c takes d queen takes d and knight c6 okay you see white black's already slightly better
02:16here why is he slightly better because he's gonna be up more and more in development
02:23now the thing about it can restrain this with a move like bishop e5 so he cannot take the queen
02:31in this case I just play e6 as a sample line to show you sample one a knight f3 defending
02:37the pawn
02:37knight at g to e7 because well technically knight e7 because the knight cannot go to e7 yeah castle
02:47and the engine likes bishop e7 I might like knight to g6 but okay the idea is I want to
02:59have another
03:00piece that's attacking here but I guess after the knight takes on queen c7 that's possible in bishop
03:05e7 but yeah um black here is uh slightly better notice here his plan is pretty clear what he's going
03:14to be
03:14doing he's going to play um after bishop e7 let's say white takes we're going to take back well we
03:24can do
03:24lots of things here we can take back where the knight hitting the queen lets the bishop come out
03:31in which case the bishop f4 and then um well there's even bishop e7 here right uh g6 even possibly
03:46oh 97 that's curious
03:52maybe knight bishop e7 queen queen g3 hitting the pawn and you don't want to castle because bishop h6
04:01but even knight e7 is possible and then uh knight g6 hitting the queen so whatever time we're losing
04:08we're going to go back to g6 hitting the queen so rookie one now and you see even knight g6
04:16is possible
04:18hitting the queen also hitting the pawn and you see that queen g3 then we play we can play rook
04:24c8 now
04:25we can play bishop e7 rook c8 the idea of rook c8 now is we look at the pieces of
04:31so we if we look at my
04:33position versus his position you see this center here is locked up okay so but you see his bishop is
04:42only someone developed the knight's not developed rook is not these rooks are not connected and then
04:48also we look at undefended pieces well the pawn on c2 is undefended with the center closed up we can
04:56play there's no more checks we can play rook c8 notice king's in the center now normally i'd like to
05:04play move like bishop e7 but you see knight g9 h4 is not going to happen because knight takes anyway
05:10or
05:11queen takes so we play c3 now of course c4 i just take and then i'm going to swing this
05:19rook over
05:21and then of course you're just going to play a5 you're not going to allow b4 so knight bd2 yes
05:27he
05:28brings out a piece and we're going to play a4 now he doesn't have knight b3 why don't we clean
05:32the b2 pawn
05:36and then at some point yes h4 h5 there isn't a ton because he doesn't have a white colored bishop
05:45what
05:45can he do about this pawn well if he can get a knight to f4 it's possible um there isn't
05:53a whole
05:53lot he can do about this h5 there's knight g5 here this idea may be playing queen f4 and attacking
05:59this
05:59twice so bishop b7 now you like to remove that knight it's attacked twice knight df3 and then we
06:08have a3 now we're sort of playing on both sides of the board which is kind of unusual but we
06:13are a3 so
06:14we're going to take here possibly and then you see we undermine the pawn chain in the pawn on c3's
06:20weak so after 94 then what what do we do oh we just take on b2 fine we want to
06:28weaken this pawn on
06:29pawn that's on c3 so he'll take back with this bishop bishop is not well placed but he can play
06:36c4
06:36at some point so it's not too bad but then of course we've got bishop takes g5 why is that
06:42good okay
06:43first of all remember something where the king is in the center okay so we're the the position in the
06:51center stable we get rid of an attacking piece so after h takes g what do we do well we
06:58have h4 as a
06:59possibility we also can play queen a5 as a possibility well queen a5 maybe heading on c3 a second time
07:12there's also deciding queen b6 so one simple line would be like queen a5 uh let's say queen e3
07:21defending this pawn defending this pawn then rook c4 so that's the tricky thing is we we're gonna get
07:32we're actually probably you could actually might even be able to castle here as possible or play king
07:38e7 and play like b5 b4 and get the rooks going on that side of the board right so although
07:47the engine
07:48calls this equal uh this is probably better for black just because he has more long-term ideas
07:56b5 b4 you know king king up to e7 or castle and then put this work on b8 and then
08:03we've got play on
08:04that side of the board so anyway queen e3 instead of bishop e5 i think that's definitely a mistake
08:13just because you're losing so you're losing a temple with the queen you're not bringing out a piece
08:23now you can play d4 hitting the queen again there's bishop f5 but queen c7
08:33queen c7 this is a curious situation after queen to c7 yes black is slightly better
08:47and c3 we're on the pawn
08:53e6 or d4
08:58all right okay we're heading both there's knight b5 hitting the queen
09:10we don't want to play queen takes because after queen takes queen knight takes queen knight c7 check
09:17so we'll play queen d4 now the idea a6 then queen c7 queen f4
09:26there's g5 wow what a move g5
09:31and that move here is a6
09:36because where's this thing going anyway although he come to c4
09:43this is quite the move he said this is i would i almost like to play six more in this
09:49position but g5
09:51g5 that's quite the move
09:55g5 queen takes g5 so the critical line is taking the pawn
10:00and we kick the knight notice he can't go to d6 because pawn will take
10:04knight goes to a3 which is the reason why i play d4 so you can't go back to c3 without
10:10being taken and then bishop h6
10:13this is very curious queen goes to g3
10:19he goes to a5 with a check so now bishop okay instead of taking right away you give the check
10:26so
10:26he doesn't have bishop d2 king d1 bishop takes c1 now we take
10:35nice c4 is the intermezzo right taking attacking the queen one c5 now on the knight
10:51g7 seems to be critical because i'm attacking my rook
10:57very very curious stuff this should be six we can prepare the castle queen sign
11:05rook to c1 you should take c4 queen takes h8 is that what happened in this okay castle queen saw
11:18like
11:18this like i said whoops sorry this is h8 castle queen sign
11:29remember something give up the rook so if he gives up two rooks for the queen that's worth it for
11:34white
11:34it's ten for nine it's ten for nine knight f3 knight f6 knight f6 no not knight f6
11:45should jcf1
11:49compensation block has is that the king is stuck in the center knight f6 now pawn takes
12:00okay okay okay okay but you can play queen takes rook first
12:06king takes pawn takes what do you have
12:12this is very curious nine of six queen takes rook you have to take back he takes what do you
12:21have
12:23two rooks and against a queen two knights how many pawns one two three four seven pawns one two three
12:34seven pawns
12:36you know five
12:39it could win the pawn but we'd have our pawns would be horrible so i'll play e5 e4 i'm not
12:44so
12:45sure about this position like this d6
12:52i'm not so sure i'm not so sure about this i'm not so sure i'm not sure if i'll be
12:59playing g5
13:01that's very curious
13:05this may be like critical but
13:10even g6 is playable because we can play bishop g7 hitting the pawn
13:16this is very curious
13:19uh queen c7 knight of c9 of three seems like okay we're holding on over defending the pawn preventing d4
13:29bishop g4 now the idea is we want to get rid of this knight so we can win the pawn
13:33on e5
13:35notice the queen can't move because it's penned now we have bishop b5 bishop takes
13:45and please g takes i do not like g takes here's the thing is i cannot take on okay here's
13:51the thing
13:52oh i see why it doesn't want to play g queen takes f3 queen takes f3 queen yeah so
13:59he plays g takes f3 and the reason is because
14:04if you play queen takes f3 you can just take the pawn with track
14:08and then after bishop e3 we do have simply e6
14:14the bishop's pinned we're threatening the pawn on b2 because of course the d pawn was also being threatened
14:259 d2 yeah now rook c8 now along the half open c file castle 9 f6 now the idea is
14:39to play bishop d6 to threaten mate
14:42c4
14:49bishop f4
14:50bishop f4 you just take the just take it bishop b4
14:57so bishop d6 bishop takes c6
15:02it should be four
15:07i guess the idea is the idea bishop b4 is we take the knight and then play pawn takes pawn
15:12and then 95
15:14hitting
15:17maybe that's possible i don't know
15:38the idea is d4 is coming but you can play bishop takes c6
15:47so c takes d
15:50e takes d
15:54so oh so yeah still with the idea of playing d4
15:58bishop takes c6 b takes c6
16:03that's
16:06queen of five now you got a castle right
16:11it should be four
16:16that's so easy
16:17bishop goes back to e7 i can see this already
16:23b7 so we're on the bishop
16:27rook is c to e8
16:32is that rook f e8
16:37hmm
16:45so we're curious what's the difference that play rook f e8 rook e1
16:52and then what we move the bishop right it's rook cd8
16:58g2 we're off at
17:01queen d6
17:04black is slightly better here according to the engine
17:09we contrasted with what he's suggesting
17:22he's suggesting rook c a problem is now that pawn and c6 not guard anymore
17:30and rook takes a7 now i'm a queen
17:34queen b4
17:37knight f3
17:4094
17:49it stops my g5 my h4
17:56prepare c5
17:58so that's a good move
18:01c1
18:03and then what do we do
18:05we have g6
18:07and be careful about g6 because
18:11you have this open file but whereas the queen you can't go to g5 or h5
18:18do have g4 and also f4 with oh yeah f4 with the idea of queen g7
18:24um
18:27do not i think f5 followed by bishop f6 is possible
18:33oh no there's bishop g5 bishop g5 though
18:38knight takes g5 knight takes g5 queen takes g5 queen takes d4
18:45we're on the rook control the e file
18:50let's see seven on the pawn twice
18:53and rook e2 yeah so this is going to be better because we've got this play so when he takes
19:00differences i'm going to give him i'm threatening actually mate and two check and mate
19:05either on g2 or h2 so
19:09yeah e2
19:12two
19:14and then what are we yeah so that's threatening mate and two
19:18there and then there's a big difference there
19:23so anyway place g takes f yeah the idea is he wants to hold on to this e pawn
19:29but you have to consider something that this knight cannot move because it's an absolute pin
19:35it cannot move because it'd be checked so um e6
19:40the idea now is you want to get the knight over to e7 either going to f5 or g6
19:46um i like g6 more because f g6 also hit the pawn in f4 and e5
19:53so after knight c3 knight g7 castle knight g6 it doesn't like knight g6 much
20:01let's get one
20:04oh i see okay so he likes east a6 so this is more forcing
20:09you take i take mine e2
20:17oh okay knight e2 is one one move what about f4 starts just simply a four
20:25it's d4 okay forking the two they're therefore the nine is the move yeah yeah four so let's that drops
20:33the exchange
20:45what we have to do is look at what we want to be doing we want to get this we
20:51want to get d4 in
20:52i want to look at this idea with the knight being on c3 takes takes 92 and then queen takes
21:03c5
21:06notice there's no check hitting the queen and position solid
21:14and black's actually up a pawn on top of that so this is probably going to be winning up you're
21:20just going to win a pawn after queen takes c5 probably winning at this point especially if he
21:28oops i meant this that just means unclear by the way um that simile you just saw um yeah this
21:38is not
21:39unclear if you especially if you trade we take with the knight and then we can defend it with with
21:44um
21:45bishop e6 even king d7 you can play the rook on c8 so you see nine g6 f4
21:58bishop e7 it does just a6 here that's something to consider there's f5
22:05um problem with why can't we just play knight takes e5 now
22:19bishop takes c6 b takes c6 f takes e6
22:37here's the check
22:41queen takes
22:44okay because yc okay so it takes takes
22:50the possibility we take back with the pawn i'm not so sure of the queen f4 if that's the best
22:58move
23:03there's also f4 too f4 f5
23:10so yeah and then there's the queen oh yeah so we have the queen check here so yeah that's precisely
23:16the point
23:18knight takes bishop takes pawn takes and then we have pawn takes e6
23:27bishop d6
23:31so instead of taking you can simply just play f4 should block that diagonal knight g4 now
23:41and in the queen so if the queen goes far enough away we play bishop takes at some point
23:47um there's lots of things to consider with this so here simply just takes double check
23:55king takes double discover check king takes pawn
24:00queen f3 now hitting the knight and then queen b7
24:07notice that we would like we're going to put our other rook on a8 or we can play a rook
24:12on f8 and g8
24:13and then the other rook on e8 so also in this position we'd like to have the rook left up
24:19to f6 and g6
24:21notice notice we have this when we look at this right it's isolated pawns but the king is open
24:27you have to look at where we could possibly coordinate the bishop and the knight against
24:31that and also how we can keep the knight there notice we want to look at our priorities what is
24:37this possibilities well f5 f6 right so maybe what they call castling by hand so work h f8 right and
24:45f5 f5 of king g8 versus this we're not really he still has this idea of pushing down the board
24:53and
24:54it's not really there's not thinking it's not really affecting the king side so yeah so queen d7
25:03so when we look at the position uh it's five against five uh white's king's side is safer for now
25:12now but the problem is where's that the bishop on c1 is not developed
25:20the book has some good moves like rook f8 and rook hf8 king g8 and then the other rook coming
25:26over so
25:28this is better it's clearly better for black especially i would say better i don't know if
25:33it's clearly better but definitely better um this should be seven
25:42should be two castle 92 not 92. problem with bishop c6 now is because it's no longer forced
25:54and by taking that you're not really improving your position what you need to do in this position for
25:59white is you need to get your piece over towards the king side because you notice that black like to
26:06play rook a c8 and play on the c file your idea is to play on the king side especially
26:13where the king
26:14that's where the king is open so bishop takes c6 is definitely bad not super bad but it's bad oh
26:22yeah it's
26:22very bad apparently yeah so yeah queen takes c6 okay the reason i'm playing queen instead of pawn here is
26:34because the queen is more active on that diagonal i mean on this file versus here the queen doesn't
26:43really have anything because it's defended whereas we get the queen up you know taking and then maybe c4
26:50hitting this twice and then even queen e4 at some point you play the rook behind it so that's the
26:56difference when we compare the two which one is more active which one does more all right so
27:04queen takes c6 queen d3 now so we have two options okay we got all our pieces out we have
27:13a rook that on a8
27:15and isn't into position or we could try to hit into the center we either want to play where we
27:22have
27:22scope or we want to play into the center depending on which one ends up being better now the engine
27:28like works a c8 more but i like playing f6 because we're threatening to win the pawn and we're playing
27:35into the center so f6 was the move now e takes f right notice the queen is defending the pawn
27:44e6
27:45although it's not guarded i'm not attacked but you can play rook a1 at some point
27:52so he plays a3 now a3 is just irrelevant what are you doing with a3 you want to play b4
27:57b5 i have a6
28:00so it's irrelevant black now plays f takes e you have to pay attention how many times it's being
28:07attacked versus how many times it's being defended plus what happened after he took the pawn okay now
28:13we have a double pawn on on the f pawn that's doubled and then after he takes back even if
28:19i don't even if
28:20i can't immediately win it guess what happens i just open a half open file
28:26i'm going to play like things like maybe e4 or d4 with threats right so f5 now deciding no i
28:36don't
28:36want to take it i'd like him to take the pawn with the f pawn so i can win the
28:40pawn on e6 except that
28:42when you look at the two options i can take with the rook and keep the pawn on the six
28:47so that's exactly
28:47what they did so you see how the rook's now coming up towards the king queen is moving over
28:54to the side of the board while my pieces are like a bullseye or like a sharpshooter shooting at the
28:59king brooke takes f5 95 the idea here is he wants me to take back with the pawn so he
29:07can win
29:08deflect the pawn away from defense of the rook but i can take with the queen queen e3 and here
29:18we have a curious position because black is going to be black is threatening mate in a couple moves
29:27so what could that possibly be well rook g5 check notice that if he cannot play king g2 or king
29:36h1
29:37he had um he can't block it so what what is he going to do he can play queen g3
29:45i take it
29:46or he can just give up the exchange like okay he'll get the rook and the bishop for the queen
29:54right and of course queen f3 now right i'm threatening the four i also threatened to bring my other rook
30:02over
30:04so rook a8 e to f8 followed by the same thing again and then also uh so also he may
30:10try to play like
30:12rook d1 now then we have the queen g4 check and because our rook is still in play
30:21still covering this back right you have to look at the threat after queen of three what is the point
30:26the point was the four bunch e4 and also after all this exchange after an exchange you what you want
30:33to do is reassess what is the material like okay we've got six pawns he has five pawns okay what
30:41about
30:41my major pieces that's the rooks and the queen oh he has one extra rook but i have a queen
30:46the queen is
30:47worth four more points than of course the rook is and then we have the knight versus bishop that's approximately
30:55equal and so we see also there's a combination so we see the material imbalance we see the king
31:03is open so that's king safety and also there's a possible combination on g4 okay there's a combination
31:10on g4y because the king is open on the g5 so you see it and then at this point of
31:17course
31:19you see this is how it could have um this is how it could have ended with queen takes g5
31:26okay
31:28so after rook g5 he resigned so because look either he takes it
31:40right yeah they're going to take the rook and give up the exchange he's going to play queen g3
31:48right to block it and i take and we just proceed on like it's nothing after knight f4 also threatening
31:55the fork again so he has to give up the exchange i'm threatening me on g2 so white just resigns
32:05of course the moves after this is just sort of a sample line
32:13okay uh okay now let's look at some key points from the game first of all white does not want
32:22to
32:22waste the move with e5 um because you you don't want to as a general rule in the openings you
32:27don't
32:27want to move a piece more than once in the opening without a good good enough reason and because of
32:32this
32:32waste of time black just brings out another pawn to get more space it is true that he could play
32:38c3
32:38and stuff like this um but uh this is going to be almost slightly better for for black once he
32:47does
32:47that also with i have to knight f3 i can play g4 uh bishop g4 nice e6 queen c7 etc
32:56so this e5 stuff is no good
33:01okay um some some people like to play the after c5 possibly play like the c3 thing but um the
33:11problem
33:12is okay so one i believe i can play d4 okay i believe it was a d4 and bishop g4
33:19even knight c6
33:21now defending it and then said it should be five
33:28uh should be seven possibly castle e6
33:37and we have a little hole here but now this we're threatening queen c7 so c takes d
33:46there's c takes d or knight takes d
33:52there's the knight takes d also hitting bolt
33:55knight takes d pawn takes d notice he can't play seat like c3 now bishop takes queen takes
34:04d3
34:08right there's 97 notice how this works we got 97 go to g6 go to f5
34:17right you're gonna play rook c8 queen c7 i mean this is just all over the it says it's equal
34:23but i
34:24think this would be better for black at this point
34:29the other thing is if you have when when your opponent wastes move you want to of course after
34:37this move you want to attack that key center square again with queen c7 so after knight f3 we want
34:45to
34:45remove the defender with bishop g4 so even after he does that we're just going to take
34:51all right notice we take first before the check okay
34:57yeah the unpleasant uh choice between taking with pawn or the queen
35:03notice if you took with the queen we're going to give just going to take the pawn with our queen
35:08for check
35:10and this is not so much an issue queen a bishop e3 queen uh sorry e6
35:17so you see 92 we're going to put the rook those are going to play on the on the c
35:21file we don't have
35:23to worry because we're going to be bringing out pieces and we want to retake with the rook okay
35:31we're going to be playing like stuff like knight f6 and bishop e6 and then also his bishop on e3
35:38is
35:39is okay okay so it's not as easy as it looks and then when he castles you notice
35:46we play 97 now we can play a6 and then we want to look at some options a6 or or
35:51knight g6
35:54well a6 is possible knight g6 is possible we want to weigh the two options okay that's a big thing
36:01and also after f4 at this point we want it we want to settle the issue okay so
36:12we again we look at bishop e7 this is possible developing a piece a6 f5 okay well what if not
36:22f5 but if he just takes okay remember if he just takes
36:28a6 right we take back with the queen why we want our pieces active notice we have an e the
36:36pawn on e6
36:38stopping f5 and the queen on on uh c6 defending d5 now when we if we were to take with
36:45the pawn it would
36:46be an okay move except we're not really hitting in the center and we're not doing anything once with the
36:52queen we have this diagonal c6 over to uh h1 okay so we have things like you know bishop c5
37:01so on if
37:02we took the pawn we wouldn't have the opportunities so 92 of course as we did in the game as
37:08we mentioned
37:08before and of course we can take the pawn and then play queen e4 okay so that's gonna drop a
37:17pawn
37:19it's not so easy at this point you pretty much black um this bishop takes c6 stuff is not really
37:26great uh f5 is trying to do something but we just take the other pawn so notice that if you
37:34if you were
37:34to take queen takes knight we just play equal the knight notice that the knight on c6 is pinned when
37:41we
37:41play e6 we put question the bishop what is he gonna do okay after castle one each notice this is
37:50a bad
37:50move because it's unprovoked what we want to do what you would have been better is bring out the pieces
37:58get the rest of the piece in play and then at the right time take but when he does it
38:02what you want
38:03to do is take back with the queen not the pawn we want activity and we want to play on
38:08the c file okay
38:11now when we have another position here another situation here okay we have some ideas we can play
38:18rook a ca we have to weigh that okay so b5 b4 kick that and we can take the b
38:25part a c part right we're
38:27playing on the c file another option we have to weigh is what if i just play f6 well it
38:33is weaking the
38:34pawn on f6 but then it's hitting on the pawn e5 okay so after f6 right if your opponent plays
38:46the
38:47irrelevant move you just keep playing in the center f takes e and after f5 you say okay what was
38:53the
38:53purpose of my opponent's last move if i take on that five he takes on d5 either with the queen
38:59or
38:59the knight we don't want to do that so we play rook takes okay and then we try to trigger
39:05again look at
39:06two options what are the two options we can capture with well if we capture with the pawn we'll lose
39:11the
39:12rook and if we capture with the queen we can keep the rook there so we have to consider both
39:17options and
39:17we take with the queen right queen e3 now we look at this position we have the rook lifted up
39:24on f5
39:25the queen also has the scope from e4 to all the way looking to h1 and then if we have
39:32two moves
39:32what we'd like to do we'd like to play rook g5 and queen g2 mate right actually rook g5 yeah
39:40um
39:42yeah because rook g5 so you're basically thinking we're g5 queen g2 but rook g5 doesn't have anywhere to
39:50go so rook g5 f3 is not going to work because it's not it's not blocking it right so rook
39:56takes g5 then
39:57what so you see queen takes g5 this point here right we're hitting onto this file what we want to
40:07do when
40:07we play with black we want to keep the positions uh stable and then we either want to play on
40:14the c
40:14file that's open or if there was a if there's an opportunity presented and created we want to play
40:20over on the king side as well so you see that's what that is this was kind of a shorter
40:27game i'm sorry
40:28after rook g5 they came in um the sample line would have been queen takes bishop takes and after bishop
40:36takes we have queen f5 queen f3 with a threat of playing queen g4 check for king both the king
40:42and the bishop okay and then notice also we'd like to join our other rook over to fa f5 and
40:50continue the
40:51same thing again all right so you can see so remember we want to get more pieces in the center
40:58we want to
40:59attack the the main pawn right we want to use our pieces in coordination to attack it we want to
41:05get rid
41:05of them the defender right with this bishop g4 move and taking right and then we want to bring our
41:15pieces
41:15out okay so we're going to bring our pieces out where to f5 or g6 well our main effect is
41:23uh or main
41:25focus of attack is on e5 okay so we want to look at some options we want to compare options
41:329g6 to a6 what makes more sense okay so it's going to take some time to consider it um usually
41:40bishop e7
41:41is more principle because we're getting a piece out and getting ready to castle uh rook a ca is also
41:47possible um i don't think f6 is wrong but rook c8 seems to be the kind of thing after you
41:56castle then you
41:57play it but anyway um just make sure when he plays moves like f5 you understand which way to capture
42:06do we take with the rook or the pawn and when he tries another trick with the knight takes again
42:13which
42:13way should we take the pawn or them or the or the queen just look at both ideas okay and
42:21so
42:22you can see that okay what i recommend is after each game to thoroughly analyze the game so you can
42:30see
42:31what opportunities were presented that were missed or what mistakes were made based upon either a
42:37miscalculation or also based upon a lack of understanding of the position so it's one of the two
42:45so after the game thoroughly analyze the game um so that would be best especially you play tournament
42:54games or club games what you want to do is if it's like a one game a week type thing
42:58go over the game
43:00after the game go over the game with your opponent whether you win lose or draw ask your point if
43:06you'd
43:06like to go over the game if he or she says yes what you want to do first is look
43:11at the last mistake
43:12what was the last mistake oh the last mistake was i lost a piece or last mistake was a fork
43:17the last
43:17mistake is i got check me okay what led to the the fork or the checkmate
43:25okay then what you do is you work backwards you go with the last mistake and go backwards
43:32if it's not clear what happened in the middle game what you do start from the opening and say okay
43:36what was my setup in the opening okay i played this oh based upon the mispositioning of the pieces now
43:44i couldn't do what i needed to do and i gave my opponent an advantage right okay then what we
43:50do is
43:50you say okay where would my place my piece be placed better and even if you were better say okay
43:58how can
43:58they how can they make the pieces even better okay so we want to especially analyze our games after the
44:06game so we know what uh would be better excuse me than what we played in the game let me
44:14get some water
44:16so that's the idea
44:20when we analyze the game out we want to look at at least two possibilities
44:23when we look at the possibilities we will look at logical possibilities that relate and also
44:28are uh make the most sense okay so yes his main thing is moving a piece more than once in
44:36the opening
44:36with the e5 there's some exceptions to the rule but in general you don't do that
44:42all right so that will conclude our second game of the series here and uh yeah um so what i'll
44:52do is
44:54i'll post i'll upload both to both will be on my facebook page and uh if i find that more
45:03people
45:04uh get a large uh gathering and large uh viewing of this what i'll what i'll be doing in the
45:11future is
45:12have a beginner's course where i'll be going over how to play good opening moves how to get a good
45:18position
45:19some basic tactics and some basic end games that you need to learn once you have those you're you
45:25you'll go from losing every game to uh starting to reduce the the blunders you have to actually
45:33winning games and then of course uh your rating will go up quite a bit and then finally of course
45:40the other thing i would offer is some tournament preparations basic considerations kind of a long
45:45story a lot to talk about so this would be something that i would offer as a paid course so
45:50either
45:51something offered through like patreon or or some course like that or um i'm also considering a cloud
45:59funding source as well but anyway also i can offer in an ebook format so we'll see what the demand
46:06is
46:06like but for now i want to offer a maximum value well um getting more participation in this okay so
46:19anyway main thing is look at the look at the uh thoroughly analyze your game after the game
46:25look at the main points see what you missed and then analyze it out from there you'll know what to
46:32play for
46:33next time also you have to look at the reasons for the mistakes is the reason mistake because you were
46:39hasty or was it because you were low on time or is it because you overestimated your position sometimes
46:46you underestimate your position too so we need to have a balanced approach between not overestimating
46:52and not underestimating okay so you want what you want to do just play solid moves
46:58right play solid moves decide logically we're in the we're on this what side of the board we're playing
47:05if the center is locked up which we can talk about another time about different types of pawn structures
47:10if the center is locked up we can either we can play out on either side of the board
47:15right if uh let's say the if it's an open position of course we need to castle quickly to one
47:20side of the
47:21board otherwise okay we'll be open such as that okay so hopefully you enjoyed i do appreciate your
47:28patience for having two parts to this lesson so i'd like to do i'd like to thank you for taking
