00:00Logan Paulson, if you missed any of that interview,
00:02I thought it was really telling.
00:03His excitement level, discussing what Sonny Stiles can do for this defense.
00:08I thought it was pretty telling what he said about Antonio Williams,
00:10that he might be the second or third best route runner in this class.
00:13I think if you look at some of the best receivers in the NFL,
00:18you don't have to be 6'5", dude.
00:20You just got to get open.
00:21That's it.
00:22But the thing that really stood out with me, B,
00:25and I hadn't thought of this,
00:27Logan just made a comp between the commander's fifth-round pick, Joshua Josephs.
00:32He described him as a guy that really looked like a Dan Quinn guy
00:36when he watched the tape from his play at Tennessee.
00:39And he compared him to Andrew Van Ginkle.
00:43Ginkle's a guy.
00:44I'm saying a lot, bro.
00:45Well, Washington players know him all too well.
00:48He had a pick six playing for the Dolphins.
00:52That was Ron's last year when Tyreek went 70 on the first play of the game,
00:57I want to say.
01:00Van Ginkle had a pick six at the line of scrimmage on a little bubble.
01:03And then last year, playing for the Vikings,
01:06playing for Durante Jones, I would add,
01:08he had not a pick six because Jaden Daniels chased him down
01:12and then Terry made the tackle.
01:13But the play where Jaden injured his elbow was a Van Ginkle pick.
01:17He's a DN that plays at the line of scrimmage,
01:20but is really smart, really reactionary in the pass game.
01:26I mean, Van Ginkle in two games against the Skins has two interceptions.
01:32And so maybe that just jumps to mind more for me
01:36because of the success he's had against Washington.
01:38But he has two picks and four passes defense in two games against Washington.
01:43But you look at his length, and if he has that ability like Van Ginkle has,
01:49every time someone throws that pass, when he's playing in any game,
01:53that little pass straight down the line of scrimmage,
01:55he got him against us, but he's right there.
02:00Damn near tipping him all the time.
02:02So if he got that long reach, he's going to get some.
02:05So I pulled up the – and whenever I do these player comps,
02:09I'm talking measurables, right?
02:10Like, who knows what will transpire on the field.
02:13That's up to the players.
02:14Yep.
02:15But like just the straight-up measurables.
02:17If Logan's going to compare it, that's going to draw my interest.
02:19So I pulled it up here.
02:21Van Ginkle was drafted in 2019, I believe.
02:24Fifth round, 13th overall.
02:27Measured 6'3.5", 241, 32 1⁄2-inch arms, 9 3⁄8-inch hands.
02:34Just listen to this, B.
02:36Joshua Joseph's fifth round, seventh pick over the weekend, 2026 draft,
02:436'3 1⁄8-inch, 242, 34 1⁄4-inch arms, 10-inch hands.
02:50These dudes are damn near identical.
02:546'3 1⁄8- versus 6'3 1⁄2 height, 241-verse-242.
02:59The only thing that's different, Joseph's arms are two inches longer,
03:06and his hand is about a half-inch bigger.
03:08So like that wingspan stuff is very real, and I don't know.
03:13I find that comp really intriguing.
03:16Yeah.
03:17I mean, let's just hope.
03:21Since he's a little bit longer arms and a little bigger hands.
03:25His prosperer grade was significantly higher.
03:28I mean, like almost.
03:28I wish he has a lot more interceptions, a lot more passes defense.
03:33I find that one really interesting and really encouraging,
03:38and then when you look at the raw data, pretty damn interesting.
03:44We're going to open the phones at noon.
03:46So if you want to call and get on hold, fire away, 800-636-1067, 800-636-1067.
03:52What did you think of the commander's draft?
03:54Who's your favorite player in this draft?
03:56We haven't gotten to the final couple picks here.
04:00A lot of folks concerned about Tyler Biotish's release
04:04and the organization not adding anybody at the center position.
04:08Are they really just going to roll with Nick Allegretti?
04:10In the seventh round, they add Matt Goulbin from Michigan State.
04:15Credit to our guy, Marcus Washington.
04:16He called this pick.
04:186'3.5", 300 pounds.
04:20Started for three years in the SEC.
04:23I'm sorry, in the Big Ten.
04:25Forgive me.
04:27Bill Belichick, in the old Patriots days, had a rule drafting offensive linemen.
04:33I want big school guys that are durable.
04:37Okay.
04:37He checks that box.
04:38There you go.
04:39It's a big school guy that's very durable.
04:42I think it's Allegretti's job to lose.
04:45Goulbin gets a chance to push for it.
04:47You had to have another true center on the roster.
04:50Now they do.
04:51Yeah, I think Allegretti is comfortable for a year or two.
04:57I think the kid will be ready to step in when things happen.
05:01He signed a two-year deal, right?
05:03Nick?
05:04Yeah.
05:05I think he was an extension.
05:07I can look that up.
05:08Yeah.
05:08But I just think that that position right there, I understand about how the guy moves in.
05:15But it's a lot of stuff going on at that center position.
05:19And that may take a little time.
05:20You're right.
05:21Two-year deal.
05:22If they want to get out of it, it wouldn't be a big problem.
05:25But yes, two-year deal.
05:27The player I think will create the most excitement from Saturday's draft is a running back.
05:32Anytime you get a skill position player, especially considering the success they had last year
05:36in the seventh round with Bill, Katron Allen.
05:39I was pretty blown away to hear that he's the all-time leading rusher at Penn State.
05:46I mean, that is a storied, long-term program.
05:51And Allen last year, I believe, went for 1,300 yards from scrimmage.
05:56Average 6.2 a carry, 15 touchdowns.
05:59That right there is good.
06:00Right.
06:02He went for over 1,000 in 24.
06:05He went for 1,100, I should add.
06:07But even as a freshman and a sophomore, he was a real part of a good Penn State team.
06:12Obviously, they fell apart this last season.
06:15Katron Allen comes in.
06:17Plus, he has a nickname that people are going to love in Fat Man.
06:20Fat Man.
06:21The best, I'd love to credit this guy, but I'm not going to be able to do it in time
06:26here
06:26on the radio.
06:27I got a tweet over the weekend.
06:29Fat Rob walked so Fat Man can run.
06:33How good is that?
06:34I remember that.
06:35How good is that?
06:37That's cool.
06:39Oh, Fat Rob.
06:40Remember Fat Rob?
06:40I love Rob Kelly.
06:42Remember Gruden's?
06:43Oh, I love Rob Kelly.
06:44Anyway, the role to me that's available to Fat Man, short yardage guy.
06:51Yeah.
06:52Come in, prove.
06:53Chris Rodriguez is now a Jacksonville Jaguar.
06:55Yep.
06:56Come in and prove you can be a short yardage guy, and there is a role for you, young man.
07:01It's up to you.
07:02Everybody looks for the guy who's all shifty and shaky.
07:06I look for the guy that I give him the ball, and I know he's going to get two, three
07:09yards.
07:10And if you block, he'll get four or five yards.
07:12You know who's shifty and shaky?
07:14Bill.
07:15Yeah.
07:16Bill, like...
07:16I want somebody who could lower the shoulder pad and move the crowd.
07:21And maybe it's C-Rod.
07:23Maybe it's the role they thought Brian Robinson would have.
07:26Like, the path to a roster spot for my man Fat Man is to prove you can be a short
07:33yardage guy.
07:34That's how you make this team, dude.
07:36And with the...
07:37Fat Man in the house.
07:38With the thump, I mean, I think he's politely listed at 5'11", 2'15".
07:46I might take the over on the weight, and that's okay.
07:51If you can use it, like, if you can use it at the next level to prove you are the
07:58guy that can...
07:59Third and two, I'll get you three, coach.
08:02You're good.
08:02I watch him play against his team from Canada, and they had all these older dudes.
08:08All he did was just run through them all damn day.
08:13Whether they was blocked or not.
08:155'11", and 3'8", listed at 2'16".
08:17Taking the over.
08:19Probably about that.
08:21The path there.
08:23Bill's on this team.
08:24Rashad White's on this team.
08:25They did add Jerome Ford.
08:26Jeremy McNichols, I think, is probably on this team.
08:28The kid that got undrafted free agent got some skills, too.
08:31Sure.
08:31And the thing to keep in mind, NFL rosters have changed.
08:34It's a 70-man roster.
08:36Practice squad players can get, you know, bumped up to the active on Saturday night.
08:41The NFL has changed from what were, like, seriously punishing roster rules
08:45to far more forgiving bigger rosters.
08:48So there's a path for Fat Man.
