00:10That things are different in the building right now.
00:15He wasn't there for day three of the draft.
00:17What's your take on that whole thing?
00:20Well, so let's start with this, Fred.
00:22I think the hope was that he was going to be back there today.
00:27I don't know if that has been the case.
00:31And obviously, things are different because he's working through a pretty significant situation.
00:39And I think for me, Fred, I would just say I want to go back to the history.
00:44Obviously, I met Mike for the first time in 2001 when he was a player here.
00:49So that's like 25 years of, you know, I guess history.
00:54And I just want to say, like, what I know about him is he cares a lot about being good
01:01at what he does.
01:02Obviously, he loves being the coach of the team and he loves his family.
01:06And so he's got these two things and he's working through, due to his own decision making, some challenging situation.
01:15And I think that's what's different is he normally he'd be all in this bucket for the draft and what
01:23they're doing, building the team.
01:24And he's not.
01:26And so he's trying to strike the balance to to make it right.
01:30How big a deal is it that he wasn't there for day three of the draft?
01:36Well, I think if you got 32 teams, I think 31 other teams probably had their head coach in the
01:42draft room on day three.
01:44So I can't minimize the fact that he wasn't there.
01:47At the same time, I think that's why you have your personnel staff and and your support staff to pull
01:54you through.
01:55So I can't sit here and tell you, Fred, that it's not a big deal.
01:58Now, at the same time, I think this draft on this particular draft, I'd say most teams will tell you
02:04day three this like a lot of these guys aren't going to make the teams that they were drafted on
02:10from the call.
02:11It like the mid fifth round to the late seventh round.
02:15So, yeah, that gives you a little extra.
02:18OK, why did why why did he have to miss Sunday or Saturday in particular?
02:23Like why that day?
02:25So I don't know the answer to that.
02:26I think what he I'll just go back to what he said, Fred, which was that his family needed him.
02:32And in this situation.
02:34Like they maybe they were going somewhere.
02:37I think they were going somewhere together as a family that maybe meant I don't know this, but meant mental
02:44that the place had maybe some meaning to them.
02:47And that would maybe describe it.
