Thirty mobile police posts...that's part of the government's anti-crime plan announced by the Prime Minister this afternoon as shead spoke at the UNC's celebration of one year in office and its 37th annivesary

00:00The other side keeps saying, where is the crime plan? Where is the crime plan, Kamala? I have no crime
00:07plan. I have an anti-crime plan against crime. I have no crime plan. None.
00:14Prime Minister Kamala Posada says she spoke to her party's faithful during the UNC's Congress and reported the nation at
00:21the Coover South Hall car park. As the Prime Minister gave an account of her administration's fight against crime three
00:27days before their one-year anniversary, she also announced what is soon to be a new part of that strategy.
00:33We lease 50 more vehicles for the police. We'll soon deploy across our nation 30 mobile police posts across the
00:42country. You know what that means? You'll have a police post in the near future, Mexico thereafter, in 30 venues
00:50and more to come. You want to hear anti-crime plan? Not all this is part of the UNC's anti
00:57-crime plan.
00:58The Prime Minister also spoke of an upcoming boost to the Office of Director of Public Prosecutions.
01:04We are now working, my Honourable Attorney General and I, we are working to staff the DPP's office and provide
01:12new accommodation for the DPP. The Ministry of Justice will soon receive funding for the upgrade of several judicial buildings.
01:21And the Prime Minister Posada also stood her ground on one particular decision made by the government she leads.
01:27We declared states of emergency to protect our citizens. The results are already showing. So you see those on the
01:37other side, oh, all you have is SOE. Well, I will take an SOE any day, every day. It will
01:44keep our citizens safe, keep you safe, keep you protected.
01:47While their SOE's under the UNC-led government last year and early this year took effect without a curpu and
01:53without any restrictions on public gatherings, the government has faced criticisms about their effectiveness from the opposition, PNM.
02:01In 2025, murders from then to now declined by 42%. 42% in murders from under their watch to us
02:15now.
02:18In 2026, serious crimes have dropped by 30% compared to the same period from last year. Last year, this
02:26time, we had 3,413 serious crimes. Now, under our watch, 2,397.
