00:00Big story from yesterday in the NFL, 48 hours before the draft, is the fact that the New England Patriots
00:05called an impromptu press conference yesterday, and they told the media that they were going to make
00:11one or two players not named Drake May available for a little press conference pre-draft.
00:18They did not say about anyone else coming to that press conference, and the reason the Patriots did
00:22that was they did not want every news reporter, national reporter, and Patriot reporter showing up.
00:28So they put out a little blurb, hey, by the way, guys and gals, we're going to have a couple
00:32of players available to you pre-draft, and that's it.
00:35And then, of course, their plan all along was for Mike Vrabel to show up without having to
00:40meet 50 media members.
00:42They might have been 10 there, that kind of thing, right?
00:45And what Mike Vrabel did yesterday was an absolute joke and so disrespectful to the relationship
00:52he had with Dan Rossini that he's now an absolute clown.
00:55So let me play it for you.
00:58It's, what's it, 30 seconds, guys, ballpark, whatever it is?
01:01Let me play it for you.
01:02I'll interrupt it if I have to.
01:03And this is Mike Vrabel.
01:05And notice what he does not say while acknowledging that he had a relationship with Rossini.
01:11Let it play.
01:11Go ahead.
01:11You know, I've had some difficult conversations with people that I care about, with my family.
01:15Okay, stop right there for a second, all right?
01:16The organization.
01:17I had some difficult conversations with people.
01:21Why?
01:21Because I had an affair with Deanna Rossini.
01:25Right.
01:25If I didn't have the affair with Deanna Rossini, these conversations wouldn't be that tough.
01:30That's right.
01:30So that's how it starts off, right?
01:32So he comes out of the gate.
01:34Again, the entire media is not there.
01:37I give the Patriots credit.
01:38It's actually pretty smart on their end.
01:40And to have him speak in front of a half-empty room, it's cowardly on his part, brilliant
01:45by the Patriots, protecting their own guy.
01:47So he starts off by saying, basically, everything you think about me, you're right.
01:52Right.
01:53Let it play.
01:53The coaches, the players, those have been positive and productive.
01:59You know, we believe in order to be successful on and off the field, you have to make good
02:03decisions.
02:04That includes me.
02:05Stop right there.
02:05All right, we believe on and off the field to be successful, you have to make good decisions.
02:12You see what I mean?
02:13Like sleeping with an NFL insider?
02:16Right.
02:16That was a good decision?
02:18When do the...
02:19And we believe that?
02:21Right.
02:21When did you believe that?
02:23When do you start making the good decisions there, Mike?
02:25Yeah, yeah.
02:26When do you make the good decisions?
02:27All right, let it go.
02:28Let it play.
02:28That starts with me.
02:30Stop it right there.
02:31That starts with me?
02:32When?
02:33When?
02:33When does it start with you?
02:35Yeah.
02:36Because two weeks ago, you put out a press statement that said that it's laughable to
02:43think that something untoward was going on at that romantic getaway in Sedona, Arizona.
02:49Is it still laughable?
02:51I don't think it's...
02:52I mean, maybe Tussin is.
02:54Certainly not to anyone involved with the Patriots or the Rossini family.
02:57Or the athletic.
02:58Or the athletic or the NFL.
03:00Right.
03:00Right?
03:00They made some changes.
03:01Because two weeks ago, it was laughable.
03:04Uh-huh.
03:04Now, I'm having tough conversations, and I've always believed that, you know, everyone
03:09that works for this organization has to make good decisions, including me.
03:14All right, let it play.
03:15Go ahead.
03:15We never want our actions to negatively affect the team.
03:19Stop right there.
03:20We never want our actions to negatively affect the team.
03:23But mine just did.
03:25It just did.
03:26And your teammate in that affair lost her job.
03:30All right, we're going to get to that in a second.
03:31It's coming up.
03:32All right?
03:32All right, let it play.
03:33Go ahead.
03:34We never want to be the cause of a distraction.
03:36Stop right there.
03:38The draft is tomorrow.
03:40We don't want to be the cause of a distraction, but we are.
03:45Of course.
03:46Right?
03:46Yes.
03:47What was more distracting, Coach?
03:48Because he obviously didn't answer any questions, even if the media had a chance to go one-on-one
03:52with him.
03:52He refused to talk about it.
03:54Coach, I have a question in the back.
03:55Craig Carden.
03:56Craig Carden Show.
03:57Yeah.
03:57What was more distracting, Stefan Diggs holding a bag of pink cocaine, or are you banging
04:03an NFL insider?
04:04You know, in hindsight, mine was worse than Stefan Diggs.
04:11Thank you, Coach.
04:11Yeah, because that one went away pretty quick.
04:14This one seems to be lingering for weeks.
04:16Yeah.
04:17All right, good.
04:17Let it play.
04:18You know, and what I...
04:19Those are comments and questions that I've answered for the team, and with the team,
04:23we'll keep those private, and...
04:25Stop right there.
04:26So, I've had conversations about what I did with the team.
04:30Mm-hmm.
04:30I assume that means Robert Kraft, the Kraft kids, and some of the players.
04:34Probably Drake made a quarterback.
04:35Yeah, and maybe all the players.
04:37Maybe you addressed the team, you know, in the locker room for the guys that showed up
04:40for the off-season training program.
04:42Mm-hmm.
04:43But I'm not sharing with you guys.
04:45I'm not sharing with any of you guys, and I'm not sharing with that either.
04:50Let it play.
04:51You know, to ourselves.
04:53I care deeply about this football team, and...
04:56Stop right there.
04:57I care so deeply about this team, I purposely slept with an insider so that we could get
05:03A.J. Brown.
05:04All right, you can check that box.
05:05I believe.
05:07You care about that more than your marriage.
05:08It seems like you're getting A.J. Brown.
05:10Yeah, you love the team.
05:10So, I do think he cares about the Patriots, right?
05:13All right, let it play good.
05:14I'm excited to coach him.
05:15I also know that I'm going to attack each day with humility and focus.
05:21Stop right there.
05:21You said two weeks ago that anyone that thought you were sleeping with her, that it was laughable.
05:28Uh-huh.
05:30So, humility.
05:32There's no humility in that.
05:34None.
05:34All right, let it play.
05:36And what I can promise you is that my family, this organization, the team, the staff, the coaches, everybody, our
05:44fans, most importantly, will get the best version of me going forward.
05:48Stop right there.
05:48I don't care about the team or the fans or anything else.
05:51He said, I can promise you that my family is going to get the best version of me.
05:56I assume that means you're no longer cheating or you explain to your wife, sorry, honey, it's the only time
06:03it's ever happened.
06:04I owe you one.
06:06You know, or here's half a million bucks.
06:08Go do what you want with it.
06:09Or what?
06:10Like, you have no humility.
06:12baby.
