00:05Are we going to see CeeDee Lamb play for the Dallas Cowboys?

00:08That seems to be a growing story at this point because he is not

00:11yet reported to camp.

00:12I mean, the Cowboys do have Brandon Cooks and Ferguson and

00:15some other weapons there, but I mean,

00:17you probably could make the case if you're talking about a team

00:20that has high aspirations,

00:22that this is the one player the Cowboys could not afford to

00:25lose this season.

00:26And thus far, he has not shown up.

00:29To me, I have no idea what Jerry and his son,

00:32Steven Jones are doing in that Cowboys front office.

00:35I do not know what leverage they believe they have in this

00:38scenario to not sign and extend CeeDee Lamb at this point.

00:42They run the risk of a very dangerous game.

00:45If CeeDee Lamb is not given a new contract before this year gets

00:49underway, if Lamb even shows up for 2024,

00:53still holding out from Cowboys training camp because CeeDee Lamb

00:57would be in the final year of his contract.

00:58Dak Prescott,

00:59who is still awaiting a new contract extension as well,

01:02would be playing 2024 under the final year of his current deal.

01:06And Mike McCarthy,

01:08although he was brought back early in the off season after another

01:11Dallas disappointment in the post season was not given an extension

01:15and is going to coach in the final year of his contract.

01:20There is a very likely chance.

01:21It would seem right now that Dallas is in danger of their head

01:26coach quarterback and best offensive player in CeeDee Lamb all not

01:30being there next year. And Craig,

01:33if the idea is from Jerry, all right,

01:35we are judged by the standard of Superbowl excellence here at the

01:39star and the Cowboys have not, of course,

01:42won a Superbowl or even reached the NFC championship game since

01:46their last Lombardi trophy in 1995.

01:49And Jerry Jones is saying,

01:51I want to see the guys put up or you know what this year.

01:54And then I will give you all the money you could hope for.

01:57You run the risk of your wide receiver and quarterback testing the open

02:01market and asking for more money than you can spend.

02:04I have no idea what is happening in Dallas.

02:07I do not know why the Cowboys are approaching their off season like

02:10this.

02:11CeeDee Lamb should certainly be paid as one of the top five highest

02:14wide receivers in the NFL.

02:16If not matching Justin Jefferson's record deal,

02:19it's a confounding time for the Cowboys and the odds market has

02:22reflected it.
