00:00Let's talk a little, uh, NBA.
00:01NBA, let me pull up.
00:02What's going on with the NBA?
00:04The NBA has great games this weekend.
00:07Starting today.
00:09Well, man, our...
00:12I'm so sad because, you know, my predictions on, you know,
00:15who is going to be good, who is going to be bad,
00:17and I'm a homer, I'm a Miami Heat fan, I'm from Miami.
00:20It's the one professional team from Miami that I really cheered for.
00:22And I don't understand why they're doing so bad.
00:25They lost their last game by four points.
00:26Yep.
00:27They're not...
00:27So, Bam Adebayo, who was our previous...
00:29One of the best.
00:30Yeah, but he's only averaging 11 points.
00:32I don't think he knows how to play with Giannis.
00:34The thing is, what Miami's going through is something that big teams go
00:37when they bring these stars that have been over a decade with a different team.
00:42It takes a long time for them to gel with the new players,
00:46to...
00:46When you have so many alpha personalities in a locker room,
00:49it takes a little bit of time for everybody to find their new plays,
00:52their new boundaries, who's going to get the ball,
00:54who's going to manage the ball, who, you know?
00:56So, I feel like that is growing pains,
00:59but the potential that Miami has when Giannis start really playing
01:03and gelling with the rest of the team is really...
01:05Right, because he's doing amazing.
01:06On his own, he's averaging 28 points a game.
01:08So, Giannis is scoring.
01:09Now, the problem...
01:09So, the problem was identified by Dwayne Wade,
01:12the Miami Heat all-time great.
01:14He pointed out that when LeBron James joined the Miami Heat,
01:17Dwayne Wade had to have a conversation with LeBron James,
01:19saying, hey, I will defer to you at certain points.
01:22Because what happened is LeBron James didn't want to step on Dwayne Wade's toes,
01:26and it created a weird chemistry on court.
01:29A shyness that didn't exist.
01:30Yeah, at some point, somebody has to go ahead and defer to the other
01:33and say, look, you go ahead and take it, and I'll find my spots.
01:37Giannis and Bam have to have that conversation, Dwayne Wade said.
01:40Without a doubt.
01:40Yeah, so we'll see how that goes.
01:42And then the Lakers, I'm surprised, man.
01:44Like, no defense.
01:45Lakers are doing well.
01:47And their stars are not even playing at their best.
01:52Luka, with a so-so game in the last two.
01:55Reeves, you will say that's still not hitting his prime.
01:58And the new additions are still finding.
02:00But they are figuring out a way to win.
02:02The coach is proving naysayers wrong,
02:06that they will say that the Lakers will collapse.
02:09And I see them playing really, really well.
02:10I'm one of those naysayers.
02:11Now, I still think it's a long season.
02:13I would love to see Miami rebound.
02:15And now it's, you know, it's hard to rebound
02:17if they dig themselves too much of a hole.
02:18But I don't know if the Lakers can maintain
02:21this kind of, you know, rhythm.
02:23Because defense is what's going to come into play
02:25later on in the season.
02:26And they're not the big defensive team.
02:28But maybe I'm going to be proven wrong again.
02:29I keep on being proven wrong when it comes to basketball.
02:32I will say this.
02:33You were pointing out about when a star joins a team.
02:35That's not happening in Philadelphia.
02:36Oh, you read my mind.
02:38I was going to talk about one big game tomorrow.
02:41Okay, what's the big game tomorrow?
02:42New York Knicks, the defending champions.
02:44Against the 76ers of Philadelphia.
02:48Un Clásico de l'East Coast.
02:49Right.
02:50This is the fancy Nancy's of the city
02:53versus the blue-collar workers of Philadelphia.
02:56Two of the three most...
02:57I'm going to say two of the four rudest cities.
03:01Because I would say Philadelphia, New York.
03:03I'm going to throw in Boston,
03:04and I'm going to throw in my hometown, Miami.
03:06Miami's a rude city.
03:07When I have friends from L.A. go to Miami,
03:09they're like,
03:09man, everyone is shady in Miami.
03:12I go, I know, I know.
03:13Look at the last match-ups.
03:14Let's go to the screen, my friends.
03:1876ers defeat the Knicks.
03:20The Knicks, they got them back in May.
03:22The Knicks beat them again in the series.
03:26So, Knicks have been having the winning record lately
03:29against the 76ers,
03:30but LeBron makes this a whole different time.
03:33Funny caveat, too.
03:35LeBron, because he's living in New York City,
03:37we know the whole, you know,
03:39there's an investigation happening
03:40as to whether, you know,
03:42there's certain venting salary cap rules
03:44by having that helicopter.
03:46He's living in New York.
03:47So, why didn't he go to the New York Knicks?
03:49He said, now, he didn't say this.
03:51Sources say that LeBron James
03:53didn't want to go to the Knicks
03:54because they won the championship.
03:56He wants to go to a team
03:58where he can contribute to them winning a championship,
04:01not a team that's already a champion already.
04:02So, the Knicks could have had LeBron James,
04:05but he went to Philadelphia.
04:07I don't think he's ever going to go to Boston.
04:09He has bad experiences the way Boston treated him.
