00:13In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the Lord be with you.
00:20Welcome to Mass, wherever you might be.
00:22Today, it's a great opportunity for us to share in the incredible love of God for us, the mysterious love
00:30of God for us.
00:31So, as we stand in God's presence and thank you, let's take a moment also to admit our own faults
00:38and ask God's pardon.
00:45Lord, sometimes we can take your precious gift of life for granted. Lord, have mercy.
00:51Lord, sometimes we can take this beautiful world that you've given us for granted.
00:56Christ, have mercy.
00:58And Lord, sometimes in our hurry and indeed in our selfishness, we can take one another for granted.
01:05Lord, have mercy.
01:07May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us to life everlasting.
01:14Let us pray.
01:17O God, who by the glorification of your Christ and the light of the Holy Spirit have unlocked for us
01:23the gates of eternity,
01:26grant, we pray, the partaking of so great a gift, our devotion may grow deeper and our faith be strengthened.
01:34And we ask this through Christ our Lord.
01:41Our first reading today is from that early history of the church, which we call the Acts of the Apostles.
01:51King Agrippa and Bernice arrived in Caesarea and paid their respects to Festus.
02:00Their visit lasted several days and Festus put Paul's case before the king.
02:07There's a man here, he said, whom Felix left behind in custody.
02:12And while I was in Jerusalem, the chief priest and the elders of the Jews
02:16laid information against him, demanding his condemnation.
02:21But I told them that Romans are not in the habit of surrendering a man until the accused confronts his
02:30accusers
02:31and is given an opportunity to defend himself against the charge.
02:37So they came here with me, and I wasted no time but took my seat on the tribunal the very
02:44next day
02:44and had the man brought in.
02:47When confronted with him, his accusers did not charge him with any of the crimes I'd expected,
02:55but they had some argument or other with him about their own religion
02:59and about a dead man called Jesus, whom Paul alleds to be alive.
03:07So not feeling qualified to deal with questions of this sort,
03:10I asked him if he'd be willing to go to Jerusalem to be tried there on this issue.
03:18But Paul put in an appeal for his case to be reserved for the judgment of the august emperor.
03:27So I ordered him to be remanded until I could send him to Caesar.
03:35The word of the Lord.
03:38The response to the psalm today is simply,
03:42Alleluia.
03:44My soul, give thanks to the Lord, all my being, bless his holy name.
03:49My soul, give thanks to the Lord, and never forget all his blessings.
03:54Alleluia.
03:56For as the heavens are high above the earth, and so strong is his love for those who fear him,
04:03as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our sins.
04:09Alleluia.
04:11The Lord has set his sway in heaven, and his kingdom is ruling over all.
04:15Give thanks to the Lord, all his angels, mighty in power, fulfilling his word.
04:22Alleluia.
04:26With gospel acclamation, alleluia, alleluia.
04:29The Holy Spirit will teach you all things, and remind you of all I have said to you.
04:36Alleluia.
04:38The Lord be with you.
04:41A reading from the Holy Gospel according to John.
04:48Jesus heard himself to his disciples, and after that even he said to them,
04:55Simon Peter, Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these others do?
05:05And he answered, yes, Lord, you know I love you.
05:09And Jesus said to him, well, feed my lambs.
05:14And then a second time Jesus said to him, Simon, son of John, do you love me?
05:20And he replied, yes, Lord, you know I love you.
05:25And then Jesus said to him, well, then feed my sheep.
05:29Look after my sheep.
05:31And then he said to him a third time, Simon, son of John, do you love me?
05:39Now, Peter was upset that he asked him the third time, do you love me?
05:45And he said, Lord, you know everything.
05:48You know I love you.
05:51And then Jesus said to him, then feed my sheep.
05:56I tell you most solemnly, when you were young, you put on your own belt and you walked wherever you
06:02liked.
06:03But when you grow old, you'll stretch out your hands and someone else will put a belt around you
06:09and take you where you would rather not go.
06:14And in these words, he indicated the kind of death by which Peter will give glory to God.
06:20After this, he said to him, follow me.
06:26The Gospel of the Lord.
06:33Blessed be you, Lord God of all creation, for your goodness that I have received, the bread we offer you.
06:37The bread of the earth and work of human hand will become for us the bread of life.
06:45By the message of this water and wine, may we come to share in the divinity of Christ.
06:50The one with himself to share in our humanity.
07:01Blessed be you, Lord God of all creation, for your goodness that I have received,
07:04this kind of world that the earth has given me, and come for us the blood of Christ.
07:13Lord God, we ask you to receive some of the feet of sacrifice, and offer you humble and contrite my
07:18thoughts.
07:18Lord, wash away my inequity, cleanse me from my sin.
07:31May now, my brothers and sisters, that my sacrifice and yours may be acceptable to God, the Almighty Father.
07:44Look mercifully, O Lord, we pray, upon the sacrificial gifts of us, your people,
07:50that we may become acceptable to you, so that we may become acceptable to you.
07:58Let the coming of the Holy Spirit cleanse our consciences.
08:01And we ask this, through Christ our Lord.
08:05The Lord be with you.
08:07Lift up your hearts.
08:09Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
08:12It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and everywhere, to give you thanks, Lord,
08:18the Father Almighty and the eternal God, through Christ.
08:21For, after his resurrection, he plainly appeared to all his disciples, and was taken up to heaven in their sight,
08:30so that he might make us sharers in his divinity.
08:35Therefore, overcome with Easter joy, every land and people exult in your praise.
08:40The heavenly hosts, the heavenly powers with the angelic hosts,
08:46sing together the unending hymn of your glory, as they acclaim,
08:50holy, holy, holy, Lord God of hosts.
08:54Heaven and earth are full of your glory.
08:56Hosanna in the highest.
08:58Lest to see who comes in the name of the Lord.
09:01Hosanna in the highest.
09:08You are indeed holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness.
09:11Make holy, therefore, these gifts, we pray,
09:13by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall,
09:16that they may become for us the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
09:21At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his passion,
09:24he took bread.
09:26And giving thanks, he broke it and gave it to his disciples,
09:29saying, Take this, all of you, and eat of it.
09:31For this is my body, which will be given up for you.
09:52In a similar way, when supper was entered,
09:54he took the chalice and once more giving thanks,
09:56gave it to his disciples, saying,
09:58Take this, all of you, and drink from it.
10:00For this is the chalice of my blood,
10:03blood of the new and eternal covenant,
10:05which will be poured out for you and for many,
10:08for the forgiveness of sins.
10:10Do this in memory of me.
10:26The mystery of faith.
10:28When we eat this bread and drink this cup,
10:31we proclaim your death, O Lord,
10:33until you come again.
10:37Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his death and resurrection,
10:40we offer you, Lord, the bread of life and the chalice of salvation,
10:44giving thanks that you felt us worthy to be in your presence
10:47and to minister to you.
10:49Humbly, we pray,
10:51that partaking of the body and blood of Christ,
10:53we may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.
10:57Remember, Lord, your church, spread throughout the world,
11:00bring it to the fullness of charity,
11:02together with Leo, our Pope,
11:04Charles, our Bishop,
11:06all the clergy,
11:07and the whole of God's people.
11:10Remember also our brothers and sisters
11:12who have fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection.
11:15And all who have died in your mercy,
11:17welcome them into the light of your face.
11:21Have mercy on us all, we pray,
11:22that with the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God,
11:25St. Joseph, her spouse, the Blessed Apostles,
11:27and all the saints,
11:28who have pleased you throughout the ages,
11:31we may merit to be cohears to eternal life,
11:34and may praise and glorify you through your Son,
11:37Jesus Christ.
11:39Through him and with him and in him,
11:41O God Almighty, Father,
11:43in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
11:45for glory and honour is yours,
11:46forever and ever.
11:50Let us pray together now the beautiful family prayer
11:53that Jesus himself taught us to pray.
11:56Our Father, who art in heaven,
11:59hallowed be thy name.
12:01Thy kingdom come,
12:02thy will be done,
12:03on earth as it is in heaven.
12:05Give us this day our daily bread,
12:08and forgive us our trespasses,
12:10as we forgive those who trespass against us.
12:13And lead us not into temptation,
12:15but deliver us from evil.
12:17Deliver us, Lord, we pray,
12:19from every evil.
12:20Graciously grant peace in our day,
12:22and by the help of your mercy,
12:24we may always free from sin,
12:26and save from all distress,
12:28as we await the blessed hope
12:29and the coming of our Saviour,
12:31Jesus Christ.
12:34Lord Jesus Christ,
12:36who said to your apostles,
12:37Peace I leave you,
12:38my peace I give you,
12:40look not on our sins,
12:41from the faith of your church.
12:44And graciously grant her peace and unity
12:46in accordance with your will,
12:48who live and reign forever and ever.
12:50The peace of the Lord be with you always.
12:54And let us offer each other a sign of peace.
12:57Peace now, wherever you might be.
12:59May you have a beautiful day.
13:05Lamb of God,
13:07take away the sin of the world,
13:09as most of us.
13:10Lamb of God,
13:12you take away the sins of the world,
13:14as most of us.
13:15Lamb of God,
13:16you take away the sins of the world,
13:18as most of us.
13:35Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof,
13:44but only say the word,
13:45and my soul shall be healed.
13:50My Jesus,
13:51I believe that you are present in the most blessed sacrament.
13:54I love you above all things,
13:56and I desire to receive you into my soul.
13:59Since I cannot now receive you sacramentally,
14:03commonly, spiritually,
14:04into my heart,
14:05I embrace you as if you were already there,
14:08and unite myself wholly to you.
14:11Never permit me to be separated from you.
14:14Amen.
14:15Let us pray.
14:18A God,
14:19by whose mysteries we are cleansed and nourished,
14:22proudly pray that this banquet that you give us
14:26may bring us everlasting life.
14:29We ask this in Christ our Lord.
14:32The Lord be with you.
14:34May almighty God bless you,
14:36the Father,
14:37the Son,
14:38and the Holy Spirit.
14:40The Mass is ended.
14:41Let us go in peace.
14:44I bless you now.
14:45I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day.
14:47Great weekend.
14:49God bless.
14:51God bless.
14:52God bless.
14:53God bless.
14:54God bless.
14:57God bless.
14:58God bless.
14:58God bless.
14:58God bless.
