00:02She's the new coach of Tasmania's VFL women's team, from a footy-mad family in Victoria to the AFLW, and
00:11now the Devils.
00:12Living out a childhood dream, I got to play AFLW, but now I actually get to coach it full-time,
00:19and that's very much a pinch-me moment.
00:22But there's another dimension to Georgia Walker. She's not your average footy coach, and today I'm leaning into something new.
00:29There's actually lots of messages coming through to you. We could genuinely be here for an hour and a half,
00:35two hours for this reading. This is actually crazy.
00:38Walker is a psychic medium. She reads tarot cards and says she has a connection to the other side. Her
00:45skills make for a fascinating contrast between two very different worlds that rarely cross over.
00:51And the woman at the front, she's still there, she's still at the front. Okay, she's coming out a little
00:56bit more now as we're talking, so that's really nice.
00:58Not necessarily a taboo topic anymore, but a lot of people, especially in a footy space, are like, what's going
01:03on? They don't cross. So when people ask about it, I'm like, oh my God, word vomit. Yep, I'll teach
01:08you in it.
01:09She's beloved by her players, some of who have booked in their own readings. They happily admit she's a little
01:15different to what they're used to.
01:17Crazy cat. Yeah, she definitely has a unique personality, but I vibe with her really well, I think. She's got
01:25high energy and she loves to radiate that.
01:28There are layers to what Georgia does, though, that go deeper than mainstream perceptions of tarot reading or psychics.
01:35The main thing that probably does cross over is the empathy and understanding. So being curious and asking questions for
01:43players. So through the work that I do, you're able to help understand the person better and not tell them
01:50what to do, but rather guide them.
01:52And skills that can be harnessed to help her team and her players through mind, body and spirit.
01:59Tapping into the moons and the moon cycles as a woman, like, you know, with our own cycles and menstruating,
02:04it links very closely to full moons and new moons. So being able to integrate that into your own understanding
02:10and knowledge.
02:10You do need to have that connection off the field and being able to understand your players and how their
02:17minds work and how they are driven to then be able to have hard conversations with them.
02:23As for the cards that I was dealt, no complaints.
02:26I think these are actually really quite beautiful cards. Lots of yellows, which is really nice.
02:31Walker will be part of history when Tasmania runs out for its VFL women's debut on May 16 at North
02:37Hobart Oval. The devil's future in Georgia's hands.
